►About the Game -
Set in a fictional Island and taking place in a post apocalyptic pandemic world, players experience terror directly in first person while they solve environmental puzzles (including physics-based puzzles) and explore an interconnected, metroidvania-style surreal world. The Wine is the only known cure for the illness caused by the pandemic and there are only a few bottles unopened. Will you find one of those?
But we aware: the island is not completely uninhabited and it's underground cellars hide secrets no one would like to unveil.

The atmosphere in this game is intense. You expect the place to be empty, but you have the monster and then just random noises and that black shadow figure. It's just really well done.
This gives me Sleepy Hollows and The Cask of Amontillado vibes just from watching it.
been playing for a bit and there's too much jump scares. Not a good design to rely too much on jump scares imo
@@choigarden9696 the linear level design & jumpscares remind me of a spook ride, like Disney's Haunted Mansion ride. Still trying to find a game that scares me & my friend more than At Dead of Night did.
A detail I like about the headless monster is that the part of your body that controls your balance is your inner ear, which is obviously gone. Thus, the creature walks as if it's having a hard time keeping its balance.
There is also the chance that since we're talking about alcohol here, it could be that the thing is drunk, but funnily enough, the typical drunken stumbling is also related to the inner ear. It _all_ circles back on itself

If he keeps breaking his legs, they’ll look like pretzels by the time he finds an intact bottle of wine 😂
What's so unsettling about the creeper is the way he walks somewhat sideways and flails his arms up and down. Creepy! And then there's also the weird sound effects.
Really enjoyed this one. Now I'm looking forward to the 2 other Horror Tales games coming out in a few months.

I remember liking the demo, and I didn't get bored for one second watching these 2 chapters again! I barely remembered chapter 2, tbh :) Looking forward to discover the rest of the game!

I was wondering what game this one reminded me of! I have played the original dishonored so many times, I have no idea how it didn't click for me.

@@Honey_Daddy I don't know anything about Republicans I'm afraid, I haven't met any in my corner of the UK. But after 15 months of lockdown and working from home, a bottle of wine does make life more entertaining.

I liked this as much the second time around, which is saying a lot. Really looking forward to Part 2! I'm also eagerly anticipating the two new installments of HORROR TALES which are set to come out in December. They look amazing!

It would have been funny if after a few minutes you found an unopened bottle of wine, headed back to your boat, but the floor collapses under your feet, you fall and break it.
It takes a lot of talent to be able to create a horror game with well-lit, sometimes even breathtaking surroundings. I'm really impressed.

Those leg cracks are a bit overdone I think 😂. Flailing headless guy cracks me up but he works when it comes to scares. I love how pretty the game is.
Thanks for playing through this game CJU! Watched the demo you played and is intrigued by the story and the scares. Right off the bat, the rumor with using the red wine as a cure is kind of suspicious, since there are bottles of it around carelessly smashed and if it was true, all the residents on the island would have been cured in the first place instead of being quarantined. Unless it is a special kind of red wine that is different from the rest... And it seems that besides the headless monster/ghost/hallucination chasing you, there are also human enemies around. Can't wait to see Part 2!

This is the first time I'm seeing this and man this is scary as shit! I don't know that headless guy just gives me the creeps. Also just a thought maybe since he seems to pop up randomly he could be a symptom of the fever hence the screaming and all that. So maybe the character is now infected since he's seeing him plus he doesn't seem to be feeling all that well towards the end of the video. 🤔
This game looks great and you said it plays well, too. I’m giving this game my love and I’m enjoying your play through. It’s an interesting story so far and I haven’t watched the demo all of this is new to me. However, the candle lit hallways always makes me wonder why people don’t question who is leaving all these new candles around. The wine on the floor is a good touch as it resembles blood. Looking forward to part two.
I love how it disorients you, and the enemy just BAM is on you coming full tilt and you have to run, but where you came from is now different, its so much scarier.
When you're first exploring, I'm actually getting some serious Myst 1 and 3 vibes

I just beat it, and his game was amazing can’t wait to see more of Carlos Coronado is working on. The ending was terrifying and had my friend at the edge of their seats! Lol

The skeleton laying dead by a pool of old blood and toilet paper suggests a very, very horrible death from explosive diarrhea. Also the atmosphere in this game is amazing.

I didn't recognize this game when I saw your thumbnail, but I remember the demo vividly. This game is what introduced me to your channel. So glad I could see you play it!
I went into this blind, not having seen the demo, and this was a riot. I dunno why, but for some reason, this game had me outwardly freaking out the most of any game I've seen since Crimson Snow or The Hatch 😂😂 at one point, I actually, literally, squeaked.

That statue in the beginning was not in the demo (what we learned is called the Father statue. Couldn't tell about the Mother statue as you didn't look up when you played the demo. Lol! Had to check.
This is still entertaining and looks amazing. I remembered quite a bit, but there was still some that I didn't recall. Really looking forward to the next installment... new territory.

I remember the demo! The visual palette of this game is not something that I'd normally expect, but it has its charm. Definitely make this a series.

If that wine is supposed to cure the illness, he jumped into a pit full of it. Just bottle some up and go save your kid. Its red wine. It doesnt need refrigeration, and even if its not great, the food poisoning is much less of an issue than dying, no? This game could have been 10 minutes long if thinking was a skill xD

The floaty bit really makes me think of the um... the dreamscape from Dishonored, but arctic and blood instead of mist and shadow. I really like it. Tbh, the entire thing has something of a Dishonored vibe? But it's not a clone, that much is obvious. Which is really nice! I love it. Looking forward to the rest of this series!

I really like the graphics, maybe because it reminds me of the witcher. I like that it doesn't use cheap jumpscares either, the atmosphere alone is enough to make me feel unsettled. I let this play in the background as I sleep and now I'm rewatching so I can take everything in.

Normally, I find the mechanic where the world changes when you're not looking to be...old. Overdone. I think it's used to really good effect here, though. It actually feels disorienting.

I loved it even more the second time honestly even knowing some of it still it got me every time dude started coming after us ahaha there’s just something about that enemy man idk what it is but he gets me! The dev did such an amazing job with making a beautiful polished intriguing game with an actual scary and amazing threat! No generic jump scares or anything dumb I love it! The biggest let down of this video was that you ended it before we saw anything new and you cut it off where the demo ended too I wasn’t ready to stop watching it I wanted to see more especially new things and get more of the story! But can’t wait for part 2 so happy about this game a true gem!

I probably said the same thing when I commented on the demo of this game, but it kind of plays like Dishonored. Even the environments give me such a vibe, as if it were a Dishonored mission in the Mediterranean. But yes, very very enjoyable.
