What is the eligibility criteria for interview waiver
I just filled by DS-160 for my B1/B2 renewal and noticed that on confirmation page it says the following - "you may also provide any additional documents you feel will support your case ", so I am curious to know whether I can attach additional docs and most importantly will VFS global accept it or not on the appointment day ?? Last time when I received visa they did not asked or checked any of the doc during the interview. I would like to submit my bank statement and property ownership papers this time (if its allowed) which I feel would eventually help my application get trough. So can you plz help me with this additional document thing ? are you allowed to submit extra docs (besides mandatory one) like bank statement, immovable asset papers ?? did you also submitted any extra docs which you believe helped in your specific case ?

My mother's US tourist visa is about to expiry by the end of May-2024, your video helped me in a great way to understand the whole process. I just wanted to know one thing, your passports seems to be attached to one another, did you glued them on your own or it was US consulate who did that while processing your application ? while travelling I have seen many individuals with bunch of old n new passports attached one onto another but I have never done it to my own passport or to my mothers, is it ok to stick passports like that on your own ?
No you don’t glue it. You can put a rubber band around the last page of your new passport and first page of your old passport. This way your passports will be attached.

You are eligible to renew as long as visa is valid. I renewed mine 2 years before expiry

No, one of the requirements on interview waiver is to present your old visa which in your case is not there

That time my employer arranged the documents for a business visit but this time I plan to get it renewed on my own as they dont have an intent to send me to US again in near future. SO what documents will be required in this case where I want to get it renewed on personal basis but there is no planned visit to US in future. Kindly suggest.

The eligibility criteria does not state that the visa must be renewed at the same post where it was issued first. So I guess you are still eligible for dropbox :)

As long as your visa on old passport is still valid you need not apply for a fresh visa on new passport. You can carry both your passports and show visa on old passport. This is very much allowed

I have a question bro, I turned 14 in July of 2014 but my visa was issued in June of 2014 (a month before my birthday). I was interviewed (only a question or 2 since it was with my family), fingerprinted, and got a 10 year visa, and now I have to apply for renewal.

No you are not eligible, if you were older than 14 years of age when you got your visa for the first time then you would have been eligible

No need to renew your visa. Your visa is still valid even if it is on old/expired passport. You have to carry both your passports every time you travel

Or can we access the dropbox location in kochi for our documents submission? And if yes do i need to book and appoinment in kochi or is it same as chennai OFC appointment. thanks in advance.
If you’ve booked an OFC appointment in chennai, you’ll have to attend it in chennai itself. Your appointment confirmation page should contain address for all OFC and VAC centres
@darkloards, i am under the similar situtation now, i have booked the appointment under the waiver program and got appointment at chennai, if its just dropping the documents, can we use the other drop locations which is nearer to me (bangalore) instead of going to chennai. I dont see clear guidelines around this. what did you do?

@@ashrithasangli9475 I raised a query request, and they confirmed that I can drop off the documents at any of the listed drop box locations on their website for a fee of 850 rupees. I will be dropping off the documents in Bangalore on the scheduled appointment date.
