I Was Laughing SO hard at that part, I had to Stop the Video 3 Times! I could no longer understand what he was even saying. I laughed for about 10 minutes with my sides aching and my eyes soaking wet!

Eating Seafood has always been a perplexing thing to me. That's why it's now very weird (and Now also Hilarious) because my Girlfriend is an Asian lady. (She doesn't like comedy and was just staring at me while I was Laughing my head off) I do like Some Seafood. But mostly, it's a "No.. Thanks!"

Exactly! I’ll always leave the extras for the others at our table when we’re out at a seafood restaurant. Dislike for any fish etc comes from having big brother throw fish scales and eyes at me when he’d clean his fish. I’ve never gotten over it! 🤢👎
Everytime I feel my anxiety taking over, I put on Jim Gaffigan clips and it always weirdly calms me down and gives me comfort. He's a great comedian 😊

As an avid seafood lover... I totally agree. This is madness passed to sons and daughters by well meaning relatives who also had ocean insects forced onto them in childhood. I can eat a whole cocktail shrimp ring from the grocery store, grub some canned crabmeat, shlorp some oysters, chew my way through a dozen tentacles from some poor creature, and I'll never understand it.
And now I'm hungry.

Saw him live once and I missed a few of his jokes because the audience and I were laughing so hard. He had a TV show a few years back on TV Land that lasted two seasons and was fun. He gets a lot of mileage out of "hot pockets."

I watched this when I was like 6 or 7 and understood "nothing". I'm 16 rewatching these, and it's so nostalgic and I understand it now. I love this years later, you're awesome at the comedic business.

When I was in my 20's, my father decided to have lobster for Sunday dinner. He put a whole lobster on my plate. I screamed. He yelled at me. I ran to my room, crying.
When i was 4 or 5, my aunt came to visit from Hawaii, with a cardboard box with a lobster in it. I thought it was my new pet, until it was thrown into boiling water. I cried.
At 31-32 years of age, i was cooking new years eve dinner at a good friend's house, when a friend of her's showed up with...
A card board box! We let her 3 year old mess with him for a while, then into the pot.
Crying ensued. "My Bobster! My Bobster!" Don't know why i didn't see that coming. Sorry, Max. I know how you feel!

I boiled a couple of live lobsters, and decided never to do that again. I like the taste, I do not like the involvement in fixing it.
@Mary O I'm from very rural Nebraska, myself, so I get where you're coming from. Looking at a big dead sea bug for the first time is pretty freaky. Didn't have my first lobster until my 30th birthday. Heck, I only ever caught crawdads to use as fish bait, had no idea they were actually edible until I saw them at a Chinese buffet. It's unfortunate. Crustaceans are delicious, but far too expensive in this region to buy for anything other than a special occasion. Much easier to just get a nice steak.

Seriously, I love shrimp, but if I order some at a restaurant and they haven’t been de-veined I will legit spend the next fifteen minutes painstakingly removing every trace of shrimp shit from each one. That stuff is nasty.
Easily remove with a toothpick (just below where the head would have been). I believe it works on cooked as well as it does on raw. Depends on how "cooked" they are. Chinese restaurants, not so much.

I saw one for the 1st time when I was 8 just before I went to NC for a Summer. I just assumed it was a huge booger at that time and adults were gross. Then in NC i was introduced to okra...i spit it out in the trash and asked my Aunts did they know it contained snot...still traumatized.
I'm actually partial to the Cream of Crab soup at Captain Billy's Crab Shack on the Potomac in St. Charles, MD. At least I was when I lived there 18 years ago. Awesome place. Everytime I walked in there, people were just smashing crabs with leftover wooden dowels from giant Ikea futons with such looks of glee it felt like some sort of not-so-secret murder club. The nondescript sheets of brown paper covering all the surfaces to make cleaning the aftermath easier just added to the ambience of general horror. So after removing whatever had just splattered on to my face from the table of eager crab smashers right by the door, I would sit down and wait for my heavenly soup while watching very inebriated folks set their wooden tubes of death down on random tables on the way to the bathroom, only to come out of the bathroom like an octogenarian leaving the grocery store attempting to find their car. Hope that place is still open.

Gaffigan - if what's coming up is even close to what you've said before about seafood, I'm looking forward to it. BTW, before the Civil War, lobster and shrimp where considered, as scavangers of the sea, only fit for slaves, back when we had slaves.
After that war tho, white folks got a taste for it, why, I don't know, but the price has only gone up since.

Well, until this Gaffigan bit, I was quite fond of clam chowder, oyster stew, lobster thermidor, crab cakes, etc. When he said "rock with a snot in it", that kind of ended the love affair with seafood dishes for me.
My husband loves seafood....shrimp, lobster, clams. I can't even watch him eat it lol He's so happy he gets to have it all to himself. I'm like, "Yeah...enjoy you nasty sea bugs" lol
