People hating on the G's! Infiniti is more sport/luxury, so it focus more on sport, than luxury. Yea it may have some quirks but than again what car doesn't? If the interior fell apart in 5 years i wouldn't give a hoot, cause its a Nissan and it will keep on going. As for the "unrefined" engine, i LOVE, and most people do the sound of a VQ engine with a intake. That "unrefined" engine has been on Ward Best Engines longer than any other engine in 14 consecutive years.
The exhaust note is the best among the class. I don't notice Acura, BMW, Audi, or Mercedes as they accelerate from a light while I wait for the crosswalk because they don't make the noise an Infiniti makes. I notice the Infiniti right away because the VQ engine sounds great and the exhaust note is just downright menacing!
you claim the interior is too Nissan and you wish it were more luxurious like your tsx but in your tsx vid you admit the interior was "old honda" and pulled out of an acord.... how is this too Nissan, when this interior design was in infiniti first, then Nissan like 2 years later...
My grandpa has an 09 Infiniti G 37 sedan. The interior is very fancy and luxurious. Despite how Nissan has a superb amount of inventory I just personally prefer Infiniti over Nissan.
The 0-60 is 5.0 seconds on this model. You would never have known that this is a 5 second 0-60 10 years later in 2021 which is still a rarity from a luxury sedan because of Sofyan's obvious bias against Nissan here. Shameful.
Funny cause i test drove a G37xS tonight, and...I think a mid 5sec 0-60, and man this car is awsome. Interior, exterior, engine, i mean...I was looking for a Wrx, but after I test drove this thing...dang!
The chipping steering wheel and door pulls was an 07/08 issue. They also fixed the warping dash problem. If you had warranty and took the car in, they'd replace it all with the newer updated materials. Sadly, most G owners aren't as enthused with their warranties as I am so I see all the chipped shit and it looks terrible... I am curious though to, what Infiniti does with the next gen G. It is getting a bit long in tooth compared to the competition. And yes, the car is easy to speed in lol.
Insideline's long term cars. The wood was peeling off the doors, plus we all saw intechdude300's video on the M with the peeling wheel. The aluminum trim on the G we had was also easily scratched and the leather felt thin. Our 2007 G35 rental car was also rattling very loudly and the sunroof trim was broken and it had 19,000 miles on it. Not impressed for a "premium" brand's interior.
g37 didn't come out until 09 on the sedans, and 08 on the coupes. The X means AWD and that wasn't released on the G sedan series until 04. All 03 Gs (which were G35s) were RWD.
I'v never heard of wood peeling off the doors in a new car... and if it was a bad enough problem they would have issues a recall like the steering wheel in the Ms.. which letters and emails were sent out notifying people that they would get entirely new steering wheels. Yea, Gs have their fair share of squeaks and rattles but honestly, the only car i'v ever driven that didn't was a brand new Lexus.
This is my favorite car in its class after the Benz. Although I like Acura, id definitely take this over an Acura, especially when Infiniti launches a new model which should be pretty soon. I would take an Acura over a Lexus though.
Why would you take a Acura TL over this? The TL is front wheel drive.... which is fine for cruising I guess but as a performance sedan I think the G37 is better.
The interior is do cheaply built IMO, I could find better tighter quality in an Accord EX-L. Not to mention the problems these cars have with warping dash boards. I take an Acura TL. Could you do a 4th generation TL or an MDX? :)
You can see the gauge hood separating on the left hand side pretty badly, really disappointed with Infiniti interior quality. I've seen the new FX and M interiors falling apart both on youtube and on blogs as well.
Infiniti V6 a gas guzzler ? If you divide the fuel consumption by 6 cylinders, the per cylinder gas consumption is the same as the Honda Civic. May be simply a V6 is not for you !
The G37S sedan or coupe looks far better than the Journeys and gives a bit of an edge when it comes to handling and of course you get the upgraded seats. Window tinting will also help the blandness go away. Driving this car in any trim is anything but bland however.
Easily scratched, cant comment. After nearly 50k in my G the trim isn't scratched and yea the leather sucks but mine isn't as bad as some because I take care of it. I think every car brand has its quirks and pros and cons. The interior in an Infiniti is probably not as good as say, a Lexus, but it certainly isn't that bad and it stays a lot better if you take care of it.
the genesis doesn't really compete with this, its more an infiniti M player. But I'm just not a "Toyota" fan although I will give Lexus more credit, and I like their new GS a lot, more than the Infiniti M
Great review, especially your notes about the sounds it makes. I too prefer a quieter car, a serene drive rather than noisier one. If I wanted a noisy drive, I'd buy a tractor :-)
What exactly have you been seeing thats falling apart on the FX and M? The chipping steering wheels?? That was a recall. The 07+Gs with the warping dash is a shitty design. Shouldn't do that. Whoever the hell thought glue was a good idea is a dumbass.. The 2010+ cars dont do it anymore thankfully.
"It sounds like a truck.. very unacceptable"
*5 seconds later*
"It does have a very nice sound"
KawiChris lmaooo
Lmaoooo
Lol. I know right
this review was so bi-polar.... one moment he hates the car then the next he's like but wait I love it.... LOL
Hes called redline reviews
Buddy. Nowadays people are buying this car for the engine and awd system. And the potential hp you can make. The interior is nice enough for me

"too nissany", "especially for an infiniti" *Google's who makes infiniti* *Nissan*
It's a nissan skyline 370gt rebadged

Ya, I have this exact same car. It can do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds at best stock...
Funny cause i test drove a G37xS tonight, and...I think a mid 5sec 0-60, and man this car is awsome. Interior, exterior, engine, i mean...I was looking for a Wrx, but after I test drove this thing...dang!

Just realised this is Redline Reviews lol
This guy sounds like Sofyan Bey from the Redline reviews.
koykorom It is Sofyan Bey before Redline Reviews
How can you say it sounds unrefined and you don't like it...THEN start revving the engine then say "It makes a nice noise though"...?!?!
i m getting one this week! thanks for the video
You complain about everything

the 3.7 Liter VQ is a powerful engine but it becomes really raspy when you push it...i like the 7 Speed auto though.
The transmission is very responsible for each shift up or down
I saw this exact car in almost the same looking area on a car buying app

Ok, this is a bad review. I've wasted a little over 8 minutes of my life.
Keiron Smith
as soon as we get one as a trade you know I will lol

You should really use a wider lens for your videos if your going to be in a car
Hey! Say what you want. Won't hurt my feelings lol.
Why would you take a Acura TL over this? The TL is front wheel drive.... which is fine for cruising I guess but as a performance sedan I think the G37 is better.
I don't think it's bland looking but it's bland looking compared to the refreshed model. I love these in coupe form!
Also G35x kills the TSX in 0-60 times. By at least 1-2 seconds.
yes it has but the Older VQ Engines are smoother...like the 3.0L in the Fourth Gen Maxima.
The interior is do cheaply built IMO, I could find better tighter quality in an Accord EX-L. Not to mention the problems these cars have with warping dash boards. I take an Acura TL. Could you do a 4th generation TL or an MDX? :)
My friend has 03 g37x I believe. It's fast as hell.
G35
I certaintly will once we get some
One of my favorites, but I'd rather have the G37x Coupe, but you can't get the manual in the AWD.
My only gripes with the IS is the cramped interior (especially the back seats) and dated design.
I like it im getting one myself one owner beautiful

He sounds just like the redline reviews guy
I like the new G37S Cabriolet :D
Good job! Only - on your channel is: try to hold the camera where you are looking yourself. ;-)
Which year g37x is the best?
nice G37 and I agree, I like the newer gauges better than this
The G37S sedan or coupe looks far better than the Journeys and gives a bit of an edge when it comes to handling and of course you get the upgraded seats. Window tinting will also help the blandness go away. Driving this car in any trim is anything but bland however.
The base TL isn't as good, but get the SHAWD model and it screams
Would this be a good first car ?👀
Not for a new teen driver. Too much power.
Easily scratched, cant comment. After nearly 50k in my G the trim isn't scratched and yea the leather sucks but mine isn't as bad as some because I take care of it. Ok, let me correct myself. My friend has a g35x. Idk what year. Maybe 04.
@xoquixxoqafxo can you please make a video on a 2013 Ford Explorer sport if you
can find one
lol I was waiting for you to comment on this! I was trying to watch what I was saying :P
Why the fuck is the back license plate like that
I agree, and that is not something you a want sport sedan to radiate lol
how reliable are these long term? and why do i read allot of dash cracks, are those cracks expensive to fix?
That's true I have one and my dash is cracking
Ive read theres a recall coming for summer 2017
Mine doesn't crack most likely because mine is always armoraled and conditoned but I do have one idk how to fix it
What’s throttle blipping
Does this car have auxiliary???
@7:25 pay attention to the speed odometer relative to the engine sound. A lot of varoooom but not much movement on the needle.
Does this have aux cord
the genesis doesn't really compete with this, its more an infiniti M player. But I'm just not a "Toyota" fan although I will give Lexus more credit, and I like their new GS a lot, more than the Infiniti M
They came out in 08
No the the g25 in 1991

OMG THIS IS REDLINE REVIEWS LMAO sofyan
I agree, I hate the interior quality of these
It's just a rebadged nissan skyline v36 that's why it screams nissan to u hahaha
horrible review
Nobody cares how soft the plastic is
@wannabess my homie has a 09 gs350 and it makes a wineing rattle noise so.yeah no car is perfect
It's so... bland!!
