      Hey! SBC 350. I'd give the manufacturer a call in regards to LS Compatibility.

    Hi
    I was wondering if you had to calibrate your spedo? The instructions are not very clear. It’s off by 8-10 mph. I have P235-60-R15 tires. I will have to find another rear end the smaller tires really gear it down.

      Hey Nathan! We actually put a 4 on the floor in it recently and switch to the gps speedo unit. We never had to calibrate with the old unit because it was pretty much spot on out of the box.

    I found a 0-30 ohm sender for my 66 Chevy truck. Do I need to bend the float down a bit on the new sender?
    Thanks

      Hey Nathan! If you run into issues in regards to the fuel gauge not reading correctly, I would look into that. You want to make sure that the arm holding the float has the correct range of motion. We thought we had an electrical issue with ours, but that wasn't the issue. The fuel gauge wasn't reading correctly because the arm holding the float didn't have the correct range of motion out of the box. Super frustrating. Hope that shaves days off your life. Lol. With this in mind, try it out first. You may not have this issue at all. That could've just been a manufacturing defect on our end.
      On a side note, I appreciate how active you are in the comments on the channel. I should take the time to be more active on here as well lol.

    What's the update on these gauges. They still good and working???

      Moe Contreras I’ve actually got them installed and they look killer. We ran into some big headaches while wiring the car though. I’ve also been slammed with work etc. lately, but that’s just an excuse. I’m a lazy bum who hasn’t been keeping up with his “weekly” videos. Lol. I’ll work on getting some content up this week.

      @@asapgarage7697 lol it's all good man, I'm thinking about buying some gauges myself but I'm skeptical about buying these because they've had bad reviews. Just trying to find out what's good for the buck you know????

      @@MrMoe82420 They were a good fit for us. We did run into some small issues with the water temp sending unit and speedo sending unit. Overall, I'm really happy with the gauges and the guys over at intellitronix were cool to me. Everything is currently working and they look awesome.

      @@MrMoe82420 For sure. When I put up a vid discussing the installation I'll try and remember to tag you. I'd just buy them knowing there may be some minor headaches, but our water sending unit was bad and they sent another one out to us. I'm happy with them.

    I’m having trouble with getting my gas gauge to work with the original (new) gas tank sending unit. The sender is 0-60 ohms and the gauge is 0-30 ohms
    How did you work this?

    are you able to show how you hooked up the speedometer? i am trying to install one on my 1965 C10 and am a little confused..... thanks for sharing the video!

      Hey! Man, in full transparency the truck is done. I just have had no time to edit. Those vids on the engine build took me foreverrr. The speedo was tough to figure out. I ended up custom wiring it for the wiring kit we bought. Something that really was frustrating was realizing that the speedo sending unit was binding up the little plastic speedo gear in the transmission. Make sure that every thing is moving freely on that end. I wired it correctly, but thought I did it wrong due to that issue. If memory serves me correctly I simply wired the speedo sending unit signal wire to the back of the cluster (signal wire on back of the cluster) and made sure that the sending unit had power and was grounded. If I get some time I'll double check that. It's been close to a year since I wired it, but it was a pain to figure out.

    Did all the senders fit? Speedometer sender fit the old 3 speed? The oil n temperature senders ok? I have the same going in my 66

    • @asapgarage7697
      @asapgarage7697  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nathan, All the sending units did fit. That said, do not over tighten the oil or water sending units. They can break if you do that. The speedo sending unit was a pain. I had to custom wire it with our american autowire kit which was fine, but we ran into other issues with it. If you're not careful, you can lock up the plastic speedo gear in the transmission. We spent hours troubleshooting that. I thought I had wired it wrong, but it turns out that the sending unit was putting things in a bind. Make sure everything moves freely when you install it. Your speedo wont read if the speedo components are in a bind.

    Did you have to use a 0-30ohm sender?

    • @asapgarage7697
      @asapgarage7697  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Nathan! you have to use a sending unit that matches your gauge cluster. For example, if you're gauge cluster is 0-30 OHM you'll need a 0-30 OHM sending unit for the gas tank. On a side note, make sure the rod for the fuel tank sending unit reaches the bottom of the tank. That was problem we ran into. It took us a while to figure out that our issue wasn't electrical.

    I'm not familiar with how durable the switches are on a 1960s GM truck. Would now be a convenient time to buy a set of new switches just so you don't have to think about going thorough the process of replacement instead?
    I prefer analog tachmoters and speedometers on gauge clusters, and I love that these digital companies made prefabricated gauge analog gauge clusters. Modern analog gauges are so much better lit and easier to read than old ones. Also, I never liked rectangular speedometers, so this is a solution for me.

      Hey! This specific gauge cluster was designed for a 1964-1966 chevy c10. I'm not sure if they sell a direct fit cluster for that year model of camaro. Here's a link to their website to check them out: www.intellitronix.com/shop

    I've got this exact same Intellitronix unit in my 66 C10. Everything works but the oil and fuel readings. Both need to be reset or recalibrated. Have you run into this issue? I'm thinking for the fuel it's not reading the sending unit. How is Intellitronix customer service for questions like this? Thanks again man

      Various cars come with various resistances on the fuel level sender. Sometimes when someone selects a new gauge cluster, they also set it for the wrong fuel float level sensor. However, it might not match the existing sensor.
