That's a fabulous walk. We were looking for windows with shutters and flower boxes, but if the residents needed such things, we're confident they would exist.
Visited 20 years ago when I lived and worked in London for 2 years. I adore England's historical architecture. So beautiful. Thank you. From New Zealand
Another superbly filmed and presented video Kevin. I certainly think that Bibury is a contender for England's most beautiful village, but there is a lot of great competition. Some years ago I drove my son's then girlfriend back home to Hereford and deliberately made a detour to visit Bibury. Once I saw the The Swan in your video, I realised it was where we had lunch that day. It is a wonderful hostelry. Keep up the great work.
I always thought bibury was the most beautiful village I ever been through. time 23:19 the Gables, I know the people who lived there. I was stating there at RAF Fairford from1982 to 1983. they are the most beautiful and wonderful family I ever know.
Hope it never gets ruined. Walderslade Village and surounding area as well as Lordswood Chatham Kent, were once old country places with a slow moving life, gone is the beauty and peace of it all with the building of new properties, you need to go back around 50 years to find it as it once was. In many ways very similar to what this is now.
Tourism is both a blessing & a curse for scenic & historic villages. Too many cars & too much noise but they may be the economic support the area needs to survive & maintain the old buildings & parks. I lived in such a place in Upstate New York years ago. It could be miserable to get anywhere or go out for a meal during "the season." Do these places a big favor & take a train, bus, bike, and/or hike. Leave the car at home if you can. The locals will love you all the more.
These beautiful places should be kept a secret, I'd hate to see it become a tourist attraction for city louts. Dedham in Essex is my nearest place to get away to but very sadly has become a huge hotspot for 'some' people in the summer & locals are getting fed up with them & the congestion & being disrespectful with unruly children that are often called Esmee & or Bonjela or spudulika.
This National Treasure should not be open to automobile traffic. Mackinac Island in Michigan USA does not allow automobiles, but only horse and buggy to preserve the historic quality and feeling of your visit. All those loud autos filling each lane and parked in every nook and cranny is a blight on stepping back in time.
ACCORDING TO A TV SHOW 2 YRS AGO, ABOUT BIBURY. IN THE 1930'S, A HOLLYWOOD BIG-SHOT PRODUCER, VISITED THE COTSWOLDS AND WAS SO STRICKEN BY ARLINGTON ROW, THAT HE OFFERED TO BUY IT. BUT-- HE WANTED IT CAREFULLY DISMANTLED, BRICK BY BRICK, AND SHIPPED TO CALIFORNIA, WHERE IT WOULD BE RECONSTRUCTED.
I just wish there was a way of hiding the cars away, maybe a park and ride outside the village, with permitting for the folks that live there, bit simple, as if a visitor renting a cottage may be more difficult, but maybe a temp one for your stay. Great film, as I get older I just have a thing about so many cars. Before anyone else says it, just being an old git! Taken quite a time to get here, but now fully qualified!
There are, of course, hundreds if not thousands of places like this in England. I suppose those of us that live here are fortunate to do so. Naturally not the whole of England is like this, by any means. Alas we do have our dirty and crime ridden towns and cities. The `muppet` end of the scale !
Hi Sipahi Hard to choose but so far Bishopstone for villages and Bourton on the water for towns. Not many people know of Bishopstone, but its a unique, quintessential and beautiful village. I have a video on my channel if you would like to check it out.

Just Imagine it again as it was a hundred years ago. Maybe it was even worse and the waterways were open sewers? I doubt it though, I think it was just one of those little nooks, that got overlooked by the destructive forces of progression. A beautiful place, spoilt only by the noisy cars and tourists

It's a beautiful little village. Unfortunately in my 76 years i think I've only seen it about twice in daylight and then only while passing through.

Reminds me of Simon in the land of Chalk Drawings

I agree the traffic definitely spoils the ambiance
I think the people who live there quite like that they can drive home….it’s not just a tourist attraction

Hi Daisey, I have heard that story before.
I just wish there was a way of hiding the cars away, maybe a park and ride outside the village, with permitting for the folks that live there, bit simple, as if a visitor renting a cottage may be more difficult, but maybe a temp one for your stay. be nice to see this in summer time. also do you go up to some of the historic plaques so we can read them?
There are, of course, hundreds if not thousands of places like this in England. I suppose those of us that live here are fortunate to do so.

I’ll take it over Disney anytime.

💜💜💜
Do you people live in those cottages/houses?
Yes 👍🏻
Pohladenie pre oči, tam akoby sa zastavil čas.
👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯
With so many tourists and cars, the village does not seem like a village.
anybody live there? inside the houses?
Yes, it is nice. But all the parked cars and traffic spoil it somewhat.
5:25 коренные жители Англии 😂😂😂
So beautiful and peaceful except for all the tourists waddling past the doors and windows of residences. I'd really dislike that.
England's Scotland, basically! ☺
The epitome of universal appeasement🙏🙏🙏
Is it really though ?? I've seen and been to somewhere more beautiful in Cornwall.
Why is the village an example of beauty but the roads are a scene of desolation.Kevin ..
Now ruined by all the tourists 😂😂
What a car dominated country.
Pity.
Overtourism ruins everything
You have a very bizarre understanding of beauty in England. Just crazy.
