What a lovely looking village Buckland is. The residents deserve credit for keeping it well maintained and tidy. Even on a drab day the village looks cheerful, and I think it's because of the lovely Cotswold stone.
Breathtaking beauty. It occurred to me while watching this that the people of England are masters of respecting tradition while simultaneously maintaining an optimism for the future. I'd like to think that Americans inherited this from (at least in my case) from our ancestral home. The uglier side of our national personality we picked up elsewhere. Some of the buildings are very large. Are they single dwellings or attached homes?
Never in history did these buildings look like this. Snapped up and sanitized, and royally groomed like a corgi for Christmas.
