Wow! Du bist so talentiert & mit der App Rocksmith sieht es so wunderbar spielerisch aus 🌈 da bin ich glatt motiviert auch etwas Neues anzufangen! Danke fürs zeigen! Sehr cooles Video ❤🎉
I'll give it a shot for the guitar! That's probably the opportunity I was waiting for, to remove the dust and replace the broken string to finally start playing again 😊
Wow, that looks super fun. 🔥 Without a doubt, I will give it a try. I've been eager to start learning to play the piano again for a long time, and I believe this is the decisive moment. However, I think I might need a few more days than Nicki. 😃
yes you can, as long as you don't have a MacBook, it works on computer as well :) if I remember seeing it correctly you can change the sizing on the app, so it should work on the phone as well, though!
@@NicoleMilikMusic how many instruments can you play and what grade are you in those instruments? I think you should know three instruments by now, unless you are a singer?
I've known Rocksmith for guitar, really cool to see the've expanded to piano now! When you have to play a chord, do only see separate notes you're supposed to play or do they also print the chord so can learn these on the side (or play them instead of thinking about the notes...)?
I think Rocksmith has been on the market for a while now, however, Rocksmith+ both for guitar and piano aims more at actually learning the instrument instead of it just being a game :) but yes, they've more recently added the piano and I think that's brilliant :) you can choose different ways of practicing and playing, if you just want to play the chords, it will show the chords, if you want to learn how to play the lead/melody guitar it will show the notes. It's really adjustable, which is what I love about this app!
Just one more question, do you think it's better to practice different right and left hand separately and it will eventually make sense together naturally or to practice them together (like super slowly) from the start?
I tried both hands at the same time and realised quite quickly it ain't for me 😂 try out what works best for you, but for me it makes sense to learn both hands separately and then it's a lot easier to play both hands at the same time :) keep your questions coming, if you have any! I'm here to help, when I can ♥
I learned piano with the Alfreds method books, and it recommends practicing each hand separately, actually mastering each hand separately before playing with both hands together. Hope that helps.
Awesome video! You always find the right words at the right time! This app seems to be pretty cool to start or improve some long forgotten skills! Thanks for sharing 🍀🍀
Absolutely great video. This should be really inspiring to a whole new generation of young people looking for a way to learn piano without all the frustration. Thank you for sharing. Also, the editing on this video is really good.
How do you pick the right level of song? Does it guide you through different levels or something? I would also wanna go right to playing If I Ain't Got You 😅
I think it's important not to rush it hahahaha...it might be worth starting with a song that's more on a basic player level if you're a beginner 😂 you can choose the song by categories, but you can also adjust the difficulty level, if you really wanted to learn how to play "if I ain't got you" first :D I don't recommend though...trust me..been there, done that 😂
Love how you started self teaching on the piano, Nicole! I could easily choose I musician like you for my wedding who has been well taught and rehearsed on piano or guitar and vocals!
thank you so much! I don't have the exact name of my piano with me right now, but it's a very old Yamaha Clavinova something.. when your a beginner of learning whatever instrument it's always important to have fun in the first place and just keep going. practicing an instrument will take time and can be frustrating at the beginning. That's why I love Rocksmith+ because it makes learning the piano so fun, even if you're an absolute beginner. there are different tutorials on a basic level and you can take it as slow as you need it to be. Don't try to rush it, it will get easier and better every day :)
Wow, I just saw the video, the app ticks many boxes for me. It has different levels, OK, that's expected. It has this scrolling timeline view with the upcoming keys (and also a sheet music mode!). OK. ... -->> It has a repeat mode for failed sections, wow! It has a midi input or can use the microphone to verify what you are playing... And it looks like when you fail a note in a section, it repeats that section for you to practice it. That's great! It has a training mode for the right hand, the left hand and all together. You can set the speed, of course. And it has a sheet music mode, yes! I play in a beginner level and got stuck there, so I think, this will help me. I can read basic sheet music, I can play the one-note-at-a-time melody line from the sheet, but this could help me to go beyond that, learn to use the left hand, ... Yes, I will try it. And it is not only for piano or keyboard, they have it for guitar too... I think, it's a great tool to learn and to boost how to play an instrument. Yes, it is still up to me, it doesn't download the music skill into my brain ;-). Repeat and repeat, don't go over errors, play it correctly, then I can increase the speed, then increase the complexity. I will definitely give it a try! ... and contine...
yes yes yes to everything you pointed out! It truly makes this platform so special to practice with :) I really hope it's going to help you getting into practicing your instrument ♥
Loved the video, Nicki! I am self-taught on drums, guitar, piano, and bass. I didn’t have TH-cam videos or cool mobile apps back when I started playing music. Consequently, I developed 40+ years of bad habits and improvised playing techniques. It would be scary to learn to play the “correct” way now, but I just may give Rocksmith a chance. After all, this may open up a door to some new musical creativity. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Steven! I totally see what you mean..It was scary learning the proper techniques after 10 years of the piano in the absolute weirdest way 😂 but it’s worth giving it a go!
Does this app gives you some explanation of the chords as well, maybe is there a tool just to practice plain chords / scales? On the long term I've found it rewarding to practice these things as well, because makes easier to learn new songs.
I know that you can practice scales on the guitar with this app, I don’t know if it explains the chords as well, because I focused on practicing the piano. There are definitely certain tutorials for basic knowledge on the piano as well :) but I totally agree that learning chords and scales first can be very beneficial!
For everyone starting to play the instrument after a long time again, don't start with to much expactations and a high difficulty level, it's a frustrating start 😅
Piano ist schon eine echte Herausforderung. Rechte Hand alleine geht, Linke Hand alleine geht auch. Beide zusammen und das Gehirn geht in den Überlastungsmodus😅 und bleibt auch dort.🤣
@@Toni-xg9wk Yes, that's why it is called a free trial. But of course, you can decide after the free trial whether you want to continue using the app and pay for it or whether you want to cancel it. If you cancel it during your 7 day free trial, you don't have to pay anything.
