Thank you for your honesty and I hear your frustration. Over $200 is significant. You saved me lots of money. Been a fan of Pathfinder for years and this is way below expectation. When it is necessary to be negative and real be straight without being nasty. You nailed it. No need to apologize because they are the ones who should be apologizing for such a cash grab. They should be embarrassed at the lack of a quality product for such a price. Disappointed with them and reconsidering future purchases if this is the direction they are taking but appreciating you.
Bro hats off to you for calling out this BS. Listen I like the Dice Tower, and many other popular board game reviewers, however they get a metric ton of stuff for free, for review purposes(ain't hating on that at all), so I feel it can be hard for them to be objective at times, and don't relate to the reality that you're getting ripped off at retail because 99% of the game is behind paywalls and KS exclusive mumbo-jumbo. I'm tired of the "toxic-positivity" culture in the video game and board gaming space already. If it sucks, it needs to be called out. Also Rob, message them directly. The box SHOULD include all that is shown in that rulebook. An example I can recall is Portal thought they were slick by selling 51st state COMPLETE edition on Amazon, and it isn't complete, and someone did in fact message them. After a bit of back and forth and the person messaging with a bit of legal background told them, this falls under a false advertising claim, and they did send him the missing content. That's not laziness, that's just greed at this point, and should not be allowed in any form.
great to see you, Rob!!! sad to see another disappointing product from what used to be such a great company. thank you for the info and for saving me time and a bunch of money!!
I'm having similar observations from many games sold on Kickstarter for quite some time. Anything above 100€ + tax + shipping is just having a hard time breaking through. Thank you for your voice of reason.
I saw the prototype a couple of years ago at Essen and wasn't very convinced. This year I saw the game and the many, many expansions for it and just thought "Better check online what people say", because I like Pathfinder and its world. Glad that I checked some BGG reviews. This is just sad.
I know you don't like giving bad reviews, but I so value that. Looks like you have saved me some cash. Not impressed at all. Thanks Rob, appreciate you. Hope you and family are doing well during the storm recovery.
Thanks for this video! I am so grateful I am no longer chasing the next greatest thing. This looks so meh, especially the board and tiles. Sorry you had to waste so much money on this, but I appreciate your honest assessment so I can continue to keep the beast of FOMO in her cage.
An expansion should add to the game's core rules and change the game experience...this was just stuff they left out of the core set...they feel like Kickstarter add ons.

Thank you
this review is exactly what every reviewer should do…review the retail edition not the kickstarter
i agree
100% this. Not to mention, most times a full "all-in" copy is given to reviewers for free, making that much harder to remain objective
@ramonosuke How on earth can those board game reviewers give an accurate review with the amount of games they're reviewing?
Thanks for the heads up! Maybe I'm an old man but why are games so damn expensive
times!!! we can't get baseball cards for .10$ anymore things just move the wrong way to quickly
@@seahawk8601 When those little packs of cards came with the little stick of chewing gum!
Shrinkflation in the board gaming space... who would have thought.
Yep

It’s a pile of shit
Great honest review Rob
Thank you
That’s all that came in those expansions? I don’t fault you for feeling disappointed.
It’s garbage
Thanks much! Saved me the disappointment and cost.
No problem
I'll stick with Arena the Contest. Thanks for another great video.
godd idea!
Owner of Fun Forge sad that big crisis is coming. That they can feel it. But do not know how big will it be.
I was saying this a while ago but what do I know from the surface it looks bad
@@seahawk8601 On english I would say Calm before storm. As a croatian, like my father used to say. The sky stinks, it will rain shit/poop.
Hell yeah. Call these people out!
They suck
🤔 Realisticly speaking they could've put the miniatures in one box & everything else in another box, each for a reasonable prize
I agree
If its overpriced for you Americans, imagine how we from Europe feel when we pay for 90% of air in the box + taxes + delivery.
It is what it is
