    Now I know exactly why I have been having trouble clipping photos to a mask. I never understood why. Thanks

      For sure! Affinity version one (in my opinion) made it easier. I had to get my head around it at first too. Glad it helped and thanks for watching another one Elizabeth!

    I just found your channel. Really liking your method of teaching the program. Lots of information but done so it is understandable and usable for a newbie. So easy to go and repeat the steps you have done to try to learn the techniques. Keep up the great work.

    Thank for the video.. Do you have a video where you do a window pull for real estate photgraphy?
    Thank you in advance

    Forgive me if this is question seems dumb,but after I fill text with an image,how do I export for future use?
    Do I group everything and just export?
    Sorry,but I really am a complete novice🥴

    • @bydesignmethod
      @bydesignmethod  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey jpla, no bad questions here! If you just want to export what you have on screen you can just go to 'File > Export' and what you see on your canvas will be exported (you choose which format, JPEG, PNG, etc) if you want JUST the text with the fill and no background first go to 'Document > Transparent Background' and then export as a PNG. You can also save your file for future use, no need to group them before export. Hopefully that helps, if I misunderstood I apologize, just let me know!

    Does this work on 1.0? I can’t seem to get it to work.

    • @bydesignmethod
      @bydesignmethod  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! parent/child layers do work in 1.0 but it works a bit different. You have to drag on top of the layer so the line appears 'vertical' between the thumbnail and the text on the layer. Hard to explain but I hope that helps - it can definitely be done!
