To be fair the harpy, cyclopes and wraith are more ascension than 2005, they just have a slight alteration but there the same. Still shows how good they look. Also they shrunk the cyclops.
@@thedstroyer0075 no but there's no way on earth they remade 6 enemy types from the God of War 1 (the video literally shows that for the most part the enemies they brought back are the GOW1 versions in terms of design and moves), made a fully rigged young kratos model with the OG Blades of Athena on his back, remade assets from the ship, the temple of Pandora and the desert of lost souls just to use them on a free DLC and call it quits. There's also the part where 2025 is God of War's 20th anniversary.
At this point they have all the character designs and assets they need for a remake of the trilogy so they may as well go for it. So much to look forward to from the series with an Atreus spin off and a new pantheon possibly in development. Great time to be a GOW fan

The Minotaur is SO HARD TO DODGE. I love the legionaires. They are more unpredictable than most Greek enemies, and are constantly attacking you. Good challange
They should update the Spar Arena in Niflheim to add a Greek Monster selection, along with another selection to combat the Trolls, Dragons, Wyverns and Drakes (the Dreki was included already), maybe they are planning another dlc that includes a "Valhalla Arena" location? Though it depends if the feature would have a story with an ending to Krato's journey in the Norse Saga since technically senior writer Orion Walker has teased that there's even more God of War to come following the release of the free Valhalla dlc, tweeting "You really think the credits are the end of the story? C'mon. C'mon now." Which means we might be getting a FINAL STORY that has more reveals like, Forseti, God of Justice, actually survived Ragnarok, Athena being the next antagonist, and maybe even a new path for Kratos that sends him to Egypt (that would be a perfect beginning).
The only thing thats underwhelming is the "centaur" It's clearly a reskin of the stalker* and doesn't feel any different I know the cyclops is a reskin as well, bit it looks and feels completly different
It would have been interesting if they had added the Goats Satyrs,Gorgons/Medusa and yours Sisters or the Copies of them + Cerberus Dogs It's a shame they didn't include them.. 🤔😭🙁😔 like and Bye!

The problem with these new enemies is that they’re just remodeled and reanimated old enemies. Like legionnaires are either draugrs or einherjars, centaurs are stalkers, wraths and sirens are these witch revenants , Minotaurs are bergsras and cyclops are ogres. And almost all of them have same finisher animation. Like cyclop and minitaur
Dislike the redesigns The nudity made them seem like actual undead creatures or even animals.. (we talking about greek mythology afterall) Also heavily dislike how its not as gory

I feel like in fact, the Cyclops in Valhalla are much smaller than the OG Ciclipes, many of them in the original trilogy seemed to be as big as the Troll and even bigger, GOW 3 Ciclipe was definitely the size of the Troll (just comparing the size of GOW 3 Cyclops and Valhalla Cyclops you can notice the difference, Kratos in GOW 3 did not even reach Cyclops' knees, Valhalla Kratos looked almost up to Cyclops' waist, and we must also take into account that Young Kratos he was taller than Old Kratos) The Centaurs of Valhalla were also much smaller than those of GOW 3 (although understandably, the Centaurs of Valhalla are female centaurs, while those of GOW 3 were male generals), the Centaur general of GOW 3 was also a giant unit, Young Kratos reached the chest (horse chest, not Centauro's humanoid chest) of General Centauro

They didn't put Medusa in this DLC. It was mention be Kratos when Freya ask him of an enemy in his homeland. They already had the mechanic, in Norse you could freeze enemy with Leviathan. The developer only thing they had to do is make the enemy on stone that it 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
What impressed me, besides the return of the Greek enemies. Is that here in Valhalla, all those enemies have gotten power ups or as if in this game they are really showing their true potential and toughness.
I hope when they do the remakes of the Greek God of War games they bring back the half naked bare booba designs for the female enemies, prostitutes, and bosses. Sucks that they’ve toned down with the nudity and violence in the Norse games Also the Valhalla centaurs are mythological accurate unlike the ones from the Greek games

I actually played Valhalla and then 2005 back to back for comparison. Not even close,the original is far superior in terms of gameplay. Way more fun,it was pure joy,had me hyped up again like when i was 7 and first played that game. Meanwhile with Valhalla i was just blankly staring at the screen while pressing buttons,like straight up depressed,wondering if this is worth it to get the real Kratos skin. After i felt satisfied with my progress(on mastery) i decided it was bs and that i might us well play the REAL og Kratos instead of the skin The sea is also way better in the og,here it looks too foggy and bland. All those improved graphics and constant walking and babbling,with nothing to show for it
