Tusk Pilot Pannier Quick Release Without the Top Straps

- This video is showing how to use the Tusk Pilot Panniers without the two top straps. The straps were in my way, and defeated the purpose of having the quick release brackets. Hopefully this video helps some people in the future, as I couldn't find any information about this online.

Baja rocks, a lot of places to visit, mountains, deserts, beaches just dond do the highway only get some off roads tracks they take you a very wonderful places, i live in Ensenada, just don't do it in summer you are going to sufer a lot... Cheers and good ride!!

I’ve ridden through Messico twice and I find the federales are as bad as the banditos when it comes to kidnappings. Be sure to take a large caliber, well concealed hog leg and a small shovel to dig a shallow grave when someone with questionable morals and a troubled childhood comes along. Safe travels!

I'm not sure when I'll end up in Mexico. The plan was for this past summer but we got delayed and didn't want to do Baja in late July. I'll definitely keep filming

Take the straps that go across the top of the bike off and remove all the buckles.
Now move that plastic retianer that you just took those straps off to the top of the bag just so it's not under that vinyl cover.
Put your strap on the retainer run it through the plate and through the retainer agian.
No extra parts or jerry rigging necessary
Can you advise what flat panel do you have mounted to the Tusk quick release bracket?

What are thoughts about not buying plates and doing your Paracord (or maybe a buckle for easy removal from Bags) to Tusk rack to avoid going over seat, and then leave bags on and just take Drybags with me? Think that would work?
No Tusk pannier racks available. On back order! Good video though!
At least it's going into winter, you should have plenty of time till spring... I've got a lot of upkeep to do on the bike this winter myself
