I have a house similar to this. This one is called Ayutthaya Style. Mine doesn't have the separated buildings. I think my house is one of the prettiest in Thailand. Mine is all Teak on the inside walls, ceilings, outside walls. Floors are a mix of 5 tropical hardwoods, as Teak is not good for floors or structural pieces. The main posts are Mai Padauk, which is a strong hardwood. All the Teak in my house is recycled from up to 100 years old, from dismantled old houses. The wood is then remilled. I built it about 5 years ago for about 6 million baht. It took 4 months to build, with a crew of about 7 who lived in a camp they built on site before starting. I am in Wang Saphung in Loei Province in northern Thailand.
Where are the photos. Let us judge. 😁
@@lingdinh4510 I don't know how to put photos in a comment, or if I even can. To to my page and see for yourself.
Sounds like a dream - let us know where to view photos?
Can you share the builders details ? I am looking into building one of these beautiful houses next year.
Yeah please make a video. Video is better than a description, mate.
The first thai houses, so beautiful but a lot of wood to maintain i think , the hotel now they where beautiful with great views and reasonably priced. Hope all is well with the family
Yeah I agree Micheal, but in saying that if you are that wealthy to purchase you would just employ a full-time caretaker. Everything is going well my friend👍😊
I really like the "Jonny there is SOMthing happening"
intro in stereo at 0:08
Jonny: "I'm very good very good.
Som: I'm very good very good.
LOL Som looked cute :-)
@@jonnyasia I agree. 👍
Loved the house tour!!!!!
Nice big Thai style home Jonny. Might creak a bit😉
It was actually very solid and quiet Randy I was suprised, that was also with no furniture. Hope you are well, anything happening on the GC? 😀
I would be very randy as well, if I was living in that house and had a dozen maids looking after me 🤣🤣🤣@@jonnyasia
Great video. Had to laugh during your shot with the drone when you could be seen running around the house to keep it in sight … hahaha - added to the authenticity of your vlogging. Love it, keep it up.
I need to retire
😀
Me to, and i am at 39, moving to thailand in 3 months
If the house comes with Som it’s a done deal!
Not a bad view. Heaps of room underneath. Brilliant. Dunno if it be up for all the maintance it needs being all wood though
Amazing location! I agree Ricky the upkeep would be a nightmare, that's when you employ a Burmese full-time caretaker 🤣
Love Som chiming in on the very good. The traditional house is beautiful. If I could have it with air con I’d say yeah.
Looks like the Thai version of a Queenslander style house, it just needs a verandah all the way around the outside. 30 millions a bit steep, think I'd take the cheaper option, with one made of balsa wood. 😅👍
Love the old Queenslander they are a upkeep nightmare also LOL
Those floors are beautiful Jonny
The first house view is really beautufuo the owner should make it a hotel
Wow huge house. Love the pole comment.
Great video.😊
Thank you! Hope you are well 😃
Wow what a great price!!!! Thanks for the fluent talk t1 review just bought one and is doing wonders for me in Bangkok. I'm here for the jewellery exhibiton at the Queen Sirikit conv Centre. I really wish to bump into you one day I'm here till 16th Sept. Love ur channel.
Ohh thats great to hear they are a excellent device, i should use mine more often. Thanks for watching glad you enjoy the vids
Damn, 30 million baht? You can get huge villas with a swimming pool for that money.
Magnificent home
Yeah it is really nice 👍
The traditional Thai wooden house on the river is really beautiful and ideal for a huge family. I think the owner would need one or two full time workers to clean and maintain all the wood too. I am also guessing the area probably floods as many places next to rivers do. A little sad to see someone's dream all empty.
Yes robert i agree it would need a full time caretaker to look after it all, the owners live in the UK i believe so obviously have no need for it
Love the traditional Thai houses but that price is CRAZY! That $98 room rental is perfect for swingers hahahahaah (Jonny laugh)
Lol I don’t think of that! My god you could have a great old party 😂
I love the wood house but what is more up keep between wood and brick? The Wood is more beautiful for sure.
Cheers
🙂
Love Pranburi.
1:01 house looking is always fun, but that's not all us guys will be looking at today 😍
Some nice places , I thing the hotel would be nice to stay at ! Thank you guys , enjoy ....
Cheers Carl
@@jonnyasia Cheers back at you Jonny !! i go to Thailand Feb 6 . 7 weeks to start my retirement , YAHOO ...
Nice place to visit for two weeks..I'll take the states anytime jonny.....
Too many entitled American bitches
Home is where the heart is 😊
Hi Jonny and som
I like the pranburi area I’ve rented villas in pak nam pran just outside pranburi, not been down that way since 2019 , need to get down from chokchai sometime soon ,,
Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭
I’ll be there soon and relocating if I like it in Thailand money won’t be a problem when I come
That is a mansion. Having visited a friend's familys smaller wooden traditional built Thai house priced at 5 million thb, my first thought was that this is 30 million thb. Spot on, the price is probably set correctly, while not cheap it doesn't seem ridicriously overpriced. The riverside view is fantastic.
Yeah it’s a fantastic spot huge block also 👍😊
The traditional house is very nice, and interesting to see. I think 30m THB is a lot of money. That is a lot even by international standards. I think the complexities of buying as a Farang mean I never would. When I move over I will just rent, for the flexibility. I like the Ford Escort though. Very good, very good.
Jonny another room I like the little bungalows that they are showing right now. That house is way too big but I like this little bungalows you have 50 bucks a night 98 bucks a night very nice
The bungalows were great very peaceful me nice for a few ways to get away from it all.
Stripper poles......Jonny always keeps it real... 😝😝😝
I have a friend who owns a home like this - maintenance is not too difficult, and does not take much effort (mostly teak wood). They also rent the property out for traditional Thai weddings.
To hot in Thailand exceeding 50 celsius
I'm going for the wooden house. Maybe a second house for me and Ying.
Jonny, I have been told that foreigners cannot buy houses with land. Foreigners can only buy Condo. Australia is the only country I think where people can buy land and houses here.
Hi there! It's not entirely accurate that foreigners can only buy condos in most countries. While property ownership regulations can vary from one country to another, many nations do allow foreigners to purchase land and houses. It's important to research the specific rules and regulations in the country you're interested in because they can differ significantly
Basically, that’s true. As an individual. Company laws allow you to.
👍👍👍
That traditional house is amazing . Johnny I have no idea…are. These varnished or are they just natural ? Maybe oiled ? Truly amazing but do people just look at that. Price as we do at something costing $40 million ? Funny seeing som busting balls imitating your intro 😂!
The 30 million one is on my list now 🙏🙏🙏
Invite me to the house warming party please :-)
@jonnyasia you are the first on the list bro 👍👍
You are perfect as a couple
LOL Thank You :-)
Its really lovely Jonny but its too expensive to buy and maintain and far away from the action. Plus you need to install security to protect your family and possessions. Probably need lots of entertainment given the poles at 03:53 🤣
Lol funny you should mention that a Thai police officer was taking me though while filming😂 it’s a very safe area, I think he is just the key holder/security while the owners live in the UK.
You remind me so much of the cartoon character, Johnny Bravo, in a good way! 🤣
Thanks keith glad to hear i will check him out :-)
We just drove past that place last week on the way to the Chinese shrine up the road and wondered why it was all locked up and how much it'd be worth. Now we know...and we sure can't afford it! Thanks anyway.
What's the chances of that happening, it's a small world LOL
I prefer the wooden style jonny😊
Yeah me also! but still needs another 10thb million to furnish, pool, landscaping & boat of course 😀
@@jonnyasia Chad has a little boat for sale....it's probably cheap 🤣🤣
Jonny, mate. I will be back in Hua Hin in October. I have a book out and asking if you would avertise my book on your channel, just a quick mention....see you soon Gary
riviera 585 suv johnny lad, from your neck of the woods....why dont you buy it and turn into exclusive guest house with boat trips sideline....you got the money so why not?
Great for a nice romantic getaway
Have to be honest mate the house doesn’t do it for me , old fashioned white suite in bathroom with dark wood no thanks 🙏 thanks for the tour , wild money too
You would know, do you have to clean and antifoul every year like in oz, or are the waters different there?
Pretty much the same I would imagine, depends on the boats usage etc. But a boat should be polished every 6 months and antifoul every 12 months. BOAT stands for (Bring Out Another Thousand ) :-)
What about termites?
The key too retiring any where is cash ..... and lots of it lol
Yes Mark I agree lots of cash and good health :-)
Would you consider moving to a different area if foreigners keep moving into yours and developing?
I don't think think so Danny you cant stop development, but i would live in the Pranburi area 😊
I like wood, and those wooden houses were beautiful. I have book about wood, but it does not mention Perdue wood. Is there another name you can give me?
@@billhansen2786 it's called Padauk in English. Mai Padu in Thai.
It’s nice but the feel of it is cold
I can understand that, being empty doesn’t help I think. 👍😊
wonder what the life expectency of the thai house is
With the right upkeep & maintenance there no reason it wouldn't last longer than 100 years +
I miss. Som
Thanks jonny and som 😂
Thanks Michael
A little traditional Thai music would have been nice for the intro.
Johney you should get a job with tourism thialand.
Lol I dunno about that 😂
My big question would be if the Thailand people would want to have USA people retire in Thailand?
You almost had a bird strike at the beginning of your video , just avoided having to declare an emergency
LOL I actually had a bird strike in the 1st attempt, that flock of birds hated the drone 😂
They were very protective 😂
3bd 3bath private pool in Laguna hua hin will do me at less than a 3rd that price aud mate no brainer for me.
Any gators in that river?
No Crocs! But you would get lots of Monitor Lizards I imagine, they love that environment :-)
is this teak wood?
never mind i heard the answer
Internally it needs the de-wooding,too much of it,like a fleming yacht....externally beautiful but too dark inside, too much wood.....16-20 million and i'd be tempted.
Did you sell your business to a number closer to 2 million, 5 million or 9 million.
The best i can hope for is a house rented out
More rentals coming soon, what price are you looking for per month?
I was drawn to your channel looking for a cheaper way of life but I would love to see how I could live on a $10k usd per month budget over there.
you can live like a mutha fuking G for 5k usd a month@@clt72pilot
@@clt72pilothaha, you could live like whatever you want on that per month..
If I had the money for a Riv, I would live in it and bugger the house. Dont like the neighbours? head off to the next marina. lol
Very smart thinking you would need atleast a 48" Flybridge, do trips over to Pattaya 😆
@@jonnyasia Hahaha yep that would be comfortable, but with outriggers for some Billfishing and wild nights lol. A Viking 44 open will do me. 😍
I like wood, but this is too much for me😂😂😂
You would definitely have to like & appreciate wood to buy 😀
Rental prices are ok, 30 million baht for house 😂need to think overnight
Any snakes there near water?
mate. I asian and Idont want to own Austrial. I..................
1k likes on this video, 900 from termites.
To much wood Jonny
Def alot of wood to maintain
How many ghosts does this house have?
Why show videos of 30 million baht Thai properties . There is only 1% of the worlds population that could afford this , maybe not even 1%
It’s actually 1.1 % of the world's adult population are millionaires. This adds up to about 56 million people.😜👍
Triffic
Resort is overpriced in my opinion.
Looks nice, but in today's world it's an impractical house, one hurricane may blow this thing off the ground, one small fire may burn it to the ground, plus it's outdated in general, we no longer live in the 500's.
