@Nem Gam Boi I was so SO SO sad when I completed everything. I just wanted more and more. I want assurance that there is going to come a season 3, and then I´ll gladly and patiently wait.
I used to think Okabe was an annoying and over delusional protagonist but after watching steins gate then steins gate:0 I realized I missed Hououin Kyouma the mad scientist.
As okabe started to do his mad scientist laugh I smiled very wide for a long period of time. Steins gate 0 gave me a new appreciation for the original when I already had it up as one of my favorite anime.
I don't miss Kyouma, I'm actually quite glad he's gone. But for whatever reasons he does hold a great value to his friends, so I'm also glad Okabe went the Mad Cap'n Tom route for his mad scientist character.
Yess it's soo good... If you want to watch more science related anime, then let me recommend Dr. Stone, it is my personal favourite and is also very good. Although the humour of the show is kinda hit or miss.

Day 500 of watching this masterpiece of an opening every day Looks like we've reached half a thousand When I first started this after watching Steins;Gate in August of 2020 (yes I know I probably missed some days) I never thought that I would reach day 500 one day But here we are I'm also quite surprised that people joined me on this journey and what can I say except thank you all so much You guys are motivating me to continue commenting every day
I love that whole segment from 1:03 up until 1:12. I think it's incredibly well done in terms of the concept and the execution. Even if you didn't watch Steins;Gate, you can see how much those characters mean to one another. And if you did, it's all the more powerful. The majority of the OP has a very dark color palette, which is a stark contrast to these particular 9 seconds. The brilliant blue of the sky quickly invade the scene as Okabe and Kurisu run towards each other. The pace of the song speeds up, invoking a sense of urgency and desperation. All of a sudden, the backdrop of the city disappears. There is nothing but Okabe and Kurisu against the bright blue sky. The colors drain as Kurisu's likeliness dematerializes. This was nothing more but a dream. Nothing about the encounter was tangible in the first place. As the song transitions to the next verse (not sure if this is the right term for it; I don't know anything about music), its pace is briefly disrupted to reflect Okabe futilely trying to grasp onto the reality he once knew as he plunges back into the darkness. A little beyond 1:12, the song picks up its pace again, reminding us that Okabe wants to go back to that colorful time once again. I think it's also important to note that this is the Okabe dressed in black; it's the one we see in 0. This scene isn't about the dramatic change in tone at the turning point of the original Steins;Gate. It's about the present Okabe trying to cope with loss, his depression, and PTSD. It's about him trying to get back to the life he once knew and loved. It really gave me a genuine sense of loss and sadness. It's so beautifully done, and heartwrenching that I tear up a little every time I see it, especially when I relate it to my own depression. If you actually read this whole thing, thanks! I impulsively just wrote this mini-essay just because of how much I enjoyed those 9 seconds.
@@mr.stuffdoer8483 Yes, Natsuki Subaru is a character who also suffers a lot and sacrifices herself to save the people she loves, but I was talking about Steins; Gate not Re: zero, so Re: zero is also a good anime that I really like as well.
@@luca_ladu23 This is not mentioned in the anime for some reason but in the VN, it is said that there can only be one continuous world line, there are no parallels, so essentially the 0 okabe is the steins gate okabe.
Coming back here always makes me feel happy. Steins; Gate is just perfection and filled with absolutely everything you'd ever need in an anime. I love Okabe
It's filled with everything you need in a great story in general. It is a master class for story writers. As someone who is currently working on a fantasy book, and has several science fiction ideas in my head, on paper and on my computer, Steins;Gate's character and story writing is my goal to reach. I'm not sure if I ever will be able to, but if I could come even remotely close to it, that would be a great win.
I'm personally happy for Steins;Gate Okabe (the one who received the message from Beta Okabe) and Steins;Gate Kurisu in that they can end up together in that worldline. Now, sometimes, I really hope for Beta Okabe (this version of Okabe) and Alpha Kurisu (the Kurisu Beta Okabe fell in love with) [notably, both of them had created successful time machines before they "died"] to find a way to actually end up together as well, even if that can be a very hard way.
@@HereSomeLight It was explained in the VN that all wordlines are mere possibilities. Only one true wordline exists at any given time, that is, the worldline which Okabe is directly experiencing. Therefore, they all get their happy ending. :D
Nothing complete me more than having Stein Gate 0 back then, such an amazing alternative timeline and explanation of much more and what of Stein Gate The first second of the song is so hype i have it as alarm Man i miss SteinGate series now
I think I was basically crying at every episode of this season. As if it was not enough that we had already seen Kurisu's death and sacrifice the first time, we had to experience it again through time travel and Amadeus. Which is why I think that the first five seconds of this opening are the most beautiful and the saddest at the same time. Yet amidst the tears, the biggest relief came when after 3k leaps, Okabe embraced Kyouma again. I had missed that weirdo so much. Everyone, make sure to watch episodes 24 and 25 of Steins Gate after watching Steins Gate 0. Remind yourselves what all these sacrifices and suffering was for.
7 years after Hacking to the Gate, Steins;Gate 0 gave another banger opening Fatima in 2018. Was so emotional to see Okabe go through this for his beloved kurisu... The part where they run& reach for each other only to go through...Chills! The racing melody was so good except 2nd last line
@@nathaniel1069 My interpretation is that it's to do with Okabe's struggle through 0 Okabe himself when talking about world line convergence compares it to a god that's orchestrating certain events, a god which he obviously has reason to be completely terrified of. In order to reach the Steins Gate world line, he has to essentially realize that it's not a god that he's up against and he can still change things.
I don't think I like it as much as Hacking To The Gate (though that may be because that's one of my favourite openings of all time), but this does come pretty close.

0:16 I just noticed something Notice how Okabe is standing on the top of the radio building, beside the time machine C204? it's the exact same position Okabe did on Steins;Gate episode #23 near the end of the episode, after Future (Beta world line) Okabe instructed his past self not to give up on Kurisu. This led to Okabe regaining his confidence to become Hououin Kyouma once more, and he reaches onto the sky with a large grin on his face as he reclaims to the world that Hououin Kyouma does not give up. The intro of Steins;Gate 0 Mirrors this exact scene very brilliantly, as contrast to what Okabe did on Episode 23 of the original series. Instead of Him being the great Hououin Kyouma, he's now an empty shell of what he used to be, reaching out to a dimly-lit sky shrowded in heavy clouds, as he pulls back his arm searching for a reason to once more become who he is meant to be. 1:18 And this is a shot where Mayuri does the exact same thing as what Okabe did at the beginning of the OP, implying that she's willing to finnish what he started (which she actually does) and notice how instead of a dark sky that Okabe reached onto, Mayuri's reaching onto a sky of endless stars, showing how optimistic and brave Mayuri is. The more i look into this OP, the more meaning it holds

Nope, it’s not over yet. There will be a massive crossover between the three sci adv game in the future. Daru is one of the main protagonist of Robotic;Notes DaSH.

Robotic;Notes 4. Chaos;Child 5. Steins;Gate 0 6. In regards to how Steins;Gate ties to the Science Adventure universe and how they will return, (really massive Robotic;Notes DaSH spoilers ahead): In Robotic;Notes DaSH true ending, we find out what Okabe has been doing for 9 years. He threw himself into studying and expanding his knowledge. This, in turn, led him to study abroad-presumably at Victor Chondria University alongside Kurisu. There, he began moving in the same circles as a number of genius foreign scientists-including Maho from Steins;Gate 0. Eventually, using both what he had learned during his time in the Alpha Worldline and the results of his growing education, he was able to build a divergence meter. It’s then that he discovered something both horrible and potentially world-saving. While most of the time the number stayed at the normal 1.048596, there were times when the last few numbers would begin to fluctuate. Okabe came to understand that this only happened preceding events that could possibly knock the flow of time off of the Steins;Gate Worldline and into a nearby attractor field. The true ending route is centered around one such emergency. Daru, after the ending of the Akiho route, has returned to Tokyo and spent a few days with his family. It is then that he opens a one line email from Okabe who is currently away visiting America: “The worldline is fluctuating.” Soon it becomes apparent why. Someone has been hacking into some of the world’s most powerful supercomputers-and is now using the increased processing power to disrupt computer systems world-wide. This in turn is causing a major breakdown in infrastructure across the globe leading to a real threat of famine even in first world countries. After receiving an urgent request for aid from the Robotics;Notes kids-and returning to Tanegashima Island to help-it becomes clear what’s going on: a remaining copy of Robotic;Notes’ villain Kou Kimijima has begun enacting his latest gencodal plan. With the world in crisis as more and more of the world’s supercomputers fall under Kou’s control, phonlines go down. However, Okabe is able to pass a written message on to Daru. He confirms that Daru’s own thoughts on what to do are correct and reminds him that not only is he Super Hacker Daru but that he can rely on the support of the Lab Members as well-that they will gladly give their all to help him. In response, Daru puts Frau and Maho in direct contact, leaving the Lab Members to do support off site while the Robotics Club prepares to take the battle to Kou directly. This is the last we hear directly from Okabe in the story. However, seeing all that has happened, once the day is saved, Daru makes a decision. He gathers the Robotics Club members together and says he has some people he wants to introduce them to. And when they ask who exactly, Daru begins to tell them all the story of a summer a decade past: the story of Steins;Gate. (Yes I copy pasted it from the internet) (Also, Mr. Braun’s daughter, Nae is a character in Robotic;Notes) I haven’t played Chaos;Head or Chaos;Child yet so I can’t really explain how they would tie to each other. I finally figured out why this is titled Steins gate 0. This is about the exploits of the unofficial lab member 000 which is the okabe from the beta worldline. As he is the one who convinced alpha okabe to save Kurisu making him an unofficial lab member.
Basically alpha okabe and beta okabe are same person its just that one that is beta okabe you mentioned gave up on kurisu to guide another that you mentioned alpha okabe to steins gate they are both same till the tuturu slapped the alpha one at that moment timlines diverged and the one that got slap became different and the one who didnt became diffrent Its all a big ass loop okabe created by sending the video in past If okabe didnt send the video in past the alpha one would never be able to reach steins gate hence becoming the same as beta okabe and would have died in 2025 as suzuha told But as beta okabe who failed to save kurisu send the video on the day when kurisu was killed it created an infinte loop of beta okabe failng and alpha okabe succeeding

What more can really be said? This franchise is just...nearly life changing. If you're reading this message before watching the anime or playing the visual novel for the first time and it looks like some deranged cult around the anime/VN blindly repeating the same praises on how good it is to each other in the comments of anything to do with Steins;Gate, you're wrong - it's actually that good. It isn't an exaggeration. It will leave your mind blown and your eyes watering. You will grow to love the characters like you know them personally, and after it's all said and done it feels like a family friend died. For some like me, there's so much depth to the science and philosophy behind it that you'll spend hours chatting with others about it or search online for answers/others' opinions on things regarding Steins;Gate. I've never experienced "post anime depression" this intensely after finishing the anime + visual novel, it's almost crippling. Please, don't take that first experience for granted and cherish it. As okabe started to do his mad scientist laugh I smiled very wide for a long period of time. Steins gate 0 gave me a new appreciation for the original when I already had it up as one of my favorite anime.

You don't realise the importance of something/someone until they are gone
I don't miss Kyouma, I'm actually quite glad he's gone. But for whatever reasons he does hold a great value to his friends, so I'm also glad Okabe went the Mad Cap'n Tom route for his mad scientist character.
This was my first scifi time travel anime. And I love it till this date
Yess it's soo good... If you want to watch more science related anime, then let me recommend Dr. Stone, it is my personal favourite and is also very good. Although the humour of the show is kinda hit or miss.

Damn, explains why its better than the og op
Very impressive, thanks a lot!

Notice how Okabe is standing on the top of the radio building, beside the time machine C204?
it's the exact same position Okabe did on Steins;Gate episode #23 near the end of the episode, after Future (Beta world line) Okabe instructed his past self not to give up on Kurisu.
1:18
And this is a shot where Mayuri does the exact same thing as what Okabe did at the beginning of the OP, implying that she's willing to finnish what he started (which she actually does) and notice how instead of a dark sky that Okabe reached onto, Mayuri's reaching onto a sky of endless stars, showing how optimistic and brave Mayuri is.
The more i look into this OP, the more meaning it holds

1. Chaos;Head
2. Steins;Gate
3. Robotic;Notes
4. Chaos;Child
5. Steins;Gate 0
6. Robotic;Notes DaSH
Also, there is also another series in the Science Adventure, which is not a visual novel but a light novel it’s called Occultic;Nine.
There is also a new game that hasn’t been released yet (tba), it’s called Anonymous;Code.
The main enemy in the Science Adventure universe is the Committee of 300. They are basically responsible for everything bad that happens in the Science Adventure universe. They are also the ones who own CERN.
In regards to how Steins;Gate ties to the Science Adventure universe and how they will return, (really massive Robotic;Notes DaSH spoilers ahead):
In Robotic;Notes DaSH true ending, we find out what Okabe has been doing for 9 years.
(Yes I copy pasted it from the internet)
(Also, Mr. Braun’s daughter, Nae is a character in Robotic;Notes)
I haven’t played Chaos;Head or Chaos;Child yet so I can’t really explain how they would tie to each other.
So, all of this tie-ins points in only one direction: there will obviously be a massive Science Adventure crossover between all three series. Just like Infinity War in the MCU.

Day 467 of watching this masterpiece of an opening every day
First day of 2023, happy new year
I finally figured out why this is titled Steins gate 0.
This is about the exploits of the unofficial lab member 000 which is the okabe from the beta worldline. As he is the one who convinced alpha okabe to save Kurisu making him an unofficial lab member.
Okay, this makes absolute sense. Nice one
Basically alpha okabe and beta okabe are same person its just that one that is beta okabe you mentioned gave up on kurisu to guide another that you mentioned alpha okabe to steins gate they are both same till the tuturu slapped the alpha one at that moment timlines diverged and the one that got slap became different and the one who didnt became diffrent
Its all a big ass loop okabe created by sending the video in past
If okabe didnt send the video in past the alpha one would never be able to reach steins gate hence becoming the same as beta okabe and would have died in 2025 as suzuha told
But as beta okabe who failed to save kurisu send the video on the day when kurisu was killed it created an infinte loop of beta okabe failng and alpha okabe succeeding
(SPOILER ALERT)
I thought it's because it takes place before Steins Gate, and since it's at the very beginning it is appropriate to call it 0
I am sobbing right now. I don't understand why, but this anime hits me right in heart. Ive never cried over an anime let alone sob. Its like I can feel their pain, and its crushing me.
cozy4usgames its just so good
I literally non stop watched steins gate, steins gate 0 (what they have so far), and Steins Gate Deja Vu all in one 24 hour time period. I loved it to much so im going to rewatch it. Im really looking forward to Steins Gate 0
Finally a relatable protagonist who looks dead inside all the time just like me
Never watched ReZero, huh?
@@mr.stuffdoer8483 Holy shit XD
Sounds like satou kazuma to me
@@mr.stuffdoer8483 they kinda look alike though especially the hairstyle of some hair dangling in the front
Gintoki looks dead too
Though that show makes one laugh a lot
I’ve never forgot my experience watching both steins gate and steins gate 0. It’s a period in my life I’ll never forget. This anime is such a ride, I literally feel for the characters so much
After watching it in correct order. I realised this series has the best ending an anime could possibly offer. Literally no words exist in this world line equivalent to appreciate such a masterpiece.
*El - Psy - Kongroo*
true it all turn up good and both alive :) best ending evah
Chizuru yeah but one thing is for sure that this season “S;G 0” opening is actually made to cry people. Rem. how he was sad the whole series. I cry when I see him in the op scene and the bg ♬.
Madara sama
I mean it’s a game but sure we can pretend that’s not real so this show has any type of value to it.
@@mr.stuffdoer8483 the 0 anime is actually a canon extension of the VN mostly taking place between the last 2 chapters. Both the VN and anime are needed for the full story.
0:15 Love that world line shift they did when Okabe reach his hand out into the sky.
When you think about this story is just a v-tuber that ascended to a higher level of existence.
1:07 THOSE FEELS! ;-;

In a million years there will be no anime like this one
You can always rewatch the anime/replay the visual novel, but you'll only experience them for the first time... once. El...Psy...Congroo.
This is totally true, really good comment, the only thing is that You typed "Congroo" instead of "Kongroo"
@@HajimeHitoshiHideo It's fine both ways honestly, in the anime I've always seen it as "Congroo", but in the novel it's "Kongroo", so not everyone types it the same
I couldn't agree any more, everything you said is just so relatable, the characters and the story are so well made that you really feel like living the story with them, in fact while watching Steins;Gate 0 Kurisu's death felt like an actual loss of someone I used to know
All the praise Steins;Gate gets isn't an exaggeration at all, it's all deserved
El Psy Congroo
Why nobody is talking about the first 2 scenes? They are the most beautiful, intense (and many other words in english I can't think of) scenes i've ever seen in opening. The fast melody like a thicking clock, the beautiful opening of an eye looking like universe and adding the scene of shacking video in a frame with this intense violin melody. The pleasure for my eyes and ears is just out of this worlds.
Don't forget 1:03
A basic summary of Steins; Gate 0:
“mad scientist turned sad scientist”
