I love how Denji is entertained by the movie but then pays more attention to Makima, Aki is watching the movie super intensely, Himeno is falling asleep and bored out of her mind, and Power steals Kobeni’s seat! It’s so true to the characters!
I have seen literally nothing of Chainsaw Man before, but I love the fact that the opening consists of just action scenes and references to other shows and movies. It really gives off this chaotic vibe that just goes perfectly with the song
I immediately read the manga after watching the first episode and oh man it's gonna be good, I would have read it as the episodes were releasing but I couldn't put it down.

totally true, more than anything due to the fact that it is full of references and the characters seem to be outside of themselves, like seeing actors behind the scenes, it's wonderful.
This opening perfectly encapsulates the trippy, chaotic, and feverish feel that Chainsaw Man has, and the countless movie references are such a respectful add-on for Fujimoto's work. There could not have been a better team to adapt the Chainsaw Man manga. You can see the love and energy put into it

As everyone expected, MAPPA definitely delivered with Chainsaw Man. This opening is just perfect because it doesn’t spoil anything significant and it’s truly chaotic, just like the anime.
Well tbh there is not much spoilable content in the first 38 chapters (12 episodes) anyways. Also true that, this is indeed a chaotic and visually enticing op.
I can't believe how well Mappa has captured the madness, the frenzy, the goofiness, and the love that Fujimoto put into his characters. This will be awesome.

@@MrCleans bruh, both the singers and composers/arrangers are literally the two same person, which they are Kenshi Yonezu and Daiki Tsuneta. Kenshi Yonezu as both the song writer and lead vocalist, Daiki Tsuneta as both arranger and backup vocalist. They are actually a good friend irl, so when they were drinking together, Kenshi asked him lightly, "Do you want to make the (Chainsaw Man) song together?", then Daiki agreed. And the rest is history.
Thing I love about this opening is it doesn't give away the whole damn plot. Some animes you can watch the opening and get the entire story laid out in front of you
I love the absolute chaos in this OP. Especially in the action scene from 0:52- 1:12. Usually in OPs the action scenes are very slick and the characters are doing these bad ass acrobatic moves, but here Denji and Power, are just flailing around destroying everything in sight , as if they don’t know exactly what to do but are just going with the flow and trying to save the day through brute force before finally collecting themselves and coming up with an insane, “super smart” plan, using the golden ball. It’s very entertaining and very much like their characters.
tbf most of Chainsaw Man's fights are like that. There's a 50/50 chance of the fight to be epic and glorious... Or end in the most anticlimactic way possible.
This op is not just a great expression of each character’s personality, it’s a love letter to tatsuki fujimoto’s love for film with all of the different references to classic films but with the csm characters. Really goes to show how the love for an author rather than just their work can enhance the adaptation of their work. Amazing job MAPPA!
Honestly tatsuki fujimotos love for film makes me love his mangas so many tropes and characters remind me of some films and if you like this aspect i suggest you read fite punch its also by tatsuki and its amazinf solid 9/10

This opening perfectly encapsulates the trippy, chaotic, and feverish feel that Chainsaw Man has, and the countless movie references are such a respectful add-on for Fujimoto's work. There could not have been a better team to adapt the Chainsaw Man manga. You can see the love and energy put into it

最初のチェーンソーのﾌﾞｫｰﾝから始まるの最高にかっこいい 天使の悪魔が言ってた「地獄で死ぬ前みんなチェーンソーの音を聞いてた」ってセリフ思い出す

As everyone expected, MAPPA definitely delivered with Chainsaw Man. This opening is just perfect because it doesn’t spoil anything significant and it’s truly chaotic, just like the anime.
Well tbh there is not much spoilable content in the first 38 chapters (12 episodes) anyways.

Kenshi Yonezu as both the song writer and lead vocalist, Daiki Tsuneta as both arranger and backup vocalist. They are actually a good friend irl, so when they were drinking together, Kenshi asked him lightly, "Do you want to make the (Chainsaw Man) song together?", then Daiki agreed. And the rest is history.

何から何までとてもかっこよくて鳥肌と興奮が止まりません。
I love the absolute chaos in this OP.
Especially in the action scene from 0:52- 1:12. Usually in OPs the action scenes are very slick and the characters are doing these bad ass acrobatic moves, but here Denji and Power, are just flailing around destroying everything in sight , as if they don’t know exactly what to do but are just going with the flow and trying to save the day through brute force before finally collecting themselves and coming up with an insane, “super smart” plan, using the golden ball.
It’s very entertaining and very much like their characters.

This op is not just a great expression of each character’s personality, it’s a love letter to tatsuki fujimoto’s love for film with all of the different references to classic films but with the csm characters. Really goes to show how the love for an author rather than just their work can enhance the adaptation of their work. Amazing job MAPPA!
