  • I was able to find an AMAZING deal on this used Cub Cadet 3 stage snow blower. It out preformed my expectations by a long shot! This snow storm dumped a lot of snow over a short period of time, In my area the snow drifts were as high as 5 feet, this snow blower worked like a charm. BEST MARKETPLACE DEAL EVER!

    Thanks for doing the video. I was skipping through it, didn't get much information on the unit itself. I'm glad I caught that fall! Made me laugh. I still don't get the point of the 3rd stage.. to me it looks and acts the same as a $300 2 stage blower.
    Also I wanted to point out. I personally would never blow snow from the street onto my yard. #1 it's the cities snow #2 all the salt / chemicals / debris from the street can harm your grass and soil.
    Unfortunately this year I didn't have to start up my 2 stage as it was a weird year hardly any snow but I did get to enjoy watching all that snow by you!

    That was a hard fall! Happens here on occasion. Nice review. First I’ve seen of the 3 stage.

    I fill a couple buckets with Luke warm water and splash into the auger to melt away the snow before putting it back in the garage. No more water in garage. Works great !

    Nice work. Just a few tips. If you got that used I bet the oil is old. It’s cheap and just a drain and fill super easy. I run Mobil 1 0W30 in mine. Try always blowing your snow in the direction the wind is blowing so it carry’s it further and you don’t get it in the face. I don’t know why you back up so far? Just turn around and turn the chute. If you spray your augers and chute all inside with WD40 before you blow the snow won’t stick and it will blow better. Waxing your paint will too in the off season. I couldn’t tell if you were using the yellow wheel release levers or not but make sure you use them turn and backup to save yourself. Even with the machine off the levers release the wheels into a “neutral” state and it is easier to move. If you ever pull the machine backwards make sure you squeeze both levers and tilt it back toward you. Just saved your back 👍🏻 I have the 30” 3 stage and it’s a beast but knowing how those levers work is key or you’ll get worn out fast.

      Thanks for the tips! Luckily the oil is in good shape, I’ll do a full service this spring. You are right about the release levers they really help maneuver the machine, much nicer than other machines I have used!

    I see you got one with the plastic chute. A couple years ago they switched to metal chutes. Your machine likely came from the factory with low grade shear pins. Cub Cadet upgraded to grade 8 shear pins for the accelerators (those menacing fan blades in the middle of the bucket). Before that, people were putting brass bolts in there to keep their machines running. The brass bolts will not shear in time to save your gearbox. Check to see if you have the new shear pins in your accelerators. They have a hex head. The auger pins have a round head.

      @ProjectsWithMatt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the heads up! I’ll check the shear bolts for sure!

      I have a 2019. It is a double cab SR5 with the long bed, 4x4. It is Super White with the cement interior. Been a great truck so far but I only have about 25k mi on it. My CC is the 30" version of the one you have. It has the 420CC engine but standard chute controls and no heated grips. Starts on the first pull and throws great. Really been happy with it.

    It would be wiser if you blow the powder in the same direction as the wind so it doesn't come back at you; adjust the chute to its highest level and let that wind take downwind of you. Nice machine.

      @ProjectsWithMatt I'm really curious, what was the original MSRP on this exact model/year? I just picked this exact one up for $850 and thought it was a deal but $600 is way down there! May I ask what you picked yours up for? I was comparing to today's model for like $1,600 but maybe this one wasn't quite that expensive brand new?

      @@zachhecksel2920 Im in Toronto Canada.. I paid $800 Canadian or $595 US for mine. mine is the last year with the single headlight. The newer design has 2 headlights. Mine has Heated Handles. I installed an extra front LED headlight like on the newer model. I also installed a battery meter, an on-off switch and a battery tray for the 12V14ah Led Acid battery. everything works well
