If only I had this knowledge back then, man mashing buttons and losing to jinpachi for hours was not fun.
AI would read your inputs frame by frame so you can't do any cheese set-ups against them. They have specific AI-cheese tactics for every individual character that don't work against humans. E.g. abusing specific strings that they don't block, moves that they like to get hit by and specific oki after a combo. In TDR Jin's d1 is an anti AI move which gives a guaranteed stomp d2 afterwards. AI allways eats it and never techs. If Kazuya finnishes his juggle with df4,4 you can do 4~3 and they will just eat it without even trying to side roll. Lee Chaolan's d4,4,4,4 is an anti AI string. They never block it. Just eat the whole thing if you've managed to hit them with the first move. It's not a natural combo. That kind of stuff was removed since T6 but AI got weaker in general.

In Tekken 5 you can technically do a position reset by playing a move in the command list and then backing out quickly, it's a bit of a hassle but it works.

Could you look back at the devil within mini game for tekken 5 while you're covering the game. It's not as special as tekken force but it's super nostalgic for me when I played it as a kid

T5 Roger was so broken/fun. Tech trap re-launch and death combo on the wall.

Not many knew/know this but T5 heihachi could get a dash cc cd+4,4,1 to d+1, oki after his fc d/f+4. Escpecially fun when close to the wall.

You can also do d/f+3,2,4,4 on wall for better oki and more damage. Also other characters in T5 have similar setups for guaranteed damage on techroll i.e. Bruce.
Are you sure the 10string has better oki? Aren't the recoveries of 10string moves garbage?

if tekken 8 comes out in 2024 i would notion a full remasters of all pass games kind of like tekken hybrid just amp them up to at least 1080p or more and keep all the gameplay intact. though with 5 it would be cool to see the original and dark ressurection which sadly i only had a chance to play that one on psp as it took years for me to release they made a ps3 port. Just saying Harada i'd pay for it i am a sucker just keep the movies buried we don't really need nor want those.

MainMan, you are making all these videos about all of the most broken characters in the history of the series, but maybe you should make some about the absolutely worst ones. I think it could be pretty interesting.
Just using Tekken 7: Anna is flat out garbage as is Gigas, Marduk can't poke and his big body makes him a juggle magnet, Lee has really bad damage and is very execution heavy, Asuka is weak on offense and can't pressure opponents, and Yoshimitsu's entire movelist is situational with his self-harm moves never gaining the just frame recovery that his SC4 version has.

If you do rage drive and connects, quickly hold uf for heavens gate extension and automatically transform to Devil. Or simply input ub1+2

Heihachi classic twin pistons was the best...hell sweep or spinning demons to demon up should've never remove from Heihachi...they should of remain forever.
I think all the Tekken games before 7 had more unforgiving inputs. Tekken Tag 2 was maybe a little more lenient than Tekken 6 but that's it.
Having the execution to pull off any of heihachi’s stuff on pad makes me proud when TMM still has trouble 😂

The first version of Tekken 5 dr arcade Heihachi was absolutely Beast. He had a low hitting throw and tons of tools that were removed in later iterations.

Kazuyas b12 and 22 range is nothing special...
Ws44 is like -6 on hit, WS12 whiffs...
Jin, Paul, law and others are more consistent, Kazuya may have best WS punish but surely not standing punish

kazuyas b12 has decent range lol, it can punish get up kick mid quite consistently which jin or in general most of the characters cant do.. jins most of the time punish with 2,4 (which already lacks rangw) from -10-13 while kazuya has more alternatives there.. and btw, you cant just count his ws punishing out and say "he is not the best punisher in t7" lul. and jin is definitely less consistent since his punishers lack more in range than kazuyas

the opponent doesnt have to worry about a 65 dmg punish on a -10 on block move, if they never get their -10 on block moves blocked in the first place
