The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
Here for this thank you for showing us your way 💖
You're welcome Heather!
SHE USES REGULAR INKJET INK (I see a lot of ppl asking but not really getting an answer; I finally found a comment where she responded)🙂
Thank you, lol i just re edited my question based on part of my question being answered here lol
@@mamadubwize lol np love
Thank you!!! I have spent 4 days watching tons of videos, reading comments and finally getting my answer. It’s amazing how everyone is leaving out one of the most important aspects of sharing the details.
@@TaylorBeKnowin you’re welcome girl and ikr!
Does anyone know how to get the ink from washing out? I wash them inside out and on cold and before I can get them to the dryer the ink is gone I have the same printer
Please do an update. Since I do sublimation primarily, I’ve been using this DTF hack with my converted epson sublimation printer, and I haven’t needed to tape a second sheet to it on my printer btw. I’m curious how the inkjet holds up tho. So far I love the feel of the DTF and I can do cottons, I’m definitely looking into getting a DTF printer setup as a way to print whites, and since I can save on the shirts it might be a win win for my customers
Finally found someone who has an explanation for this stuff 😅.. I wanna start personalizing stuff to have a hobby I can earn from.. Thank you for this video ❤❤
You're welcome best wishes💫
I never thought it can work with normal inkjet printer. The result is good too. 👍👍👍
Porcha can you do a video on DTF Tumbler wraps using the inkjet
Nice video. Just a friendly reminder, to be able to make black and dark garments you need to have DTF White Ink so the design is visible. DTF White Ink also helps washability so the design last longer. That is why just regular inkjet inks can not last. Again, nice video for fun.
Cool, appreciate the info.
I pretty much knew what to expect but wanted to try it anyway, LOL!
@@ColorMePorcha So how was it after a few washes? Did not having the DTF White Ink make it fade faster? :)
When would you use the black DTF
I was intimidated about using DTF
But now I believe I can do it.
Thank you for being clear and concise 👍🏾
You're welcome, best wishes!
@@ColorMePorcha Is inkjet ink stable with washing?
@@motasemalsalkhadi6257I was looking for this video too.
This is awesome, thank you for sharing! My question is, can you stack these & store them for later printing, say for an event?
You're welcome.
I'd say no. The ink sits on top of the film so it can be easily smeared. You'll want to use it when you print it.
What software do you need to convert the inkjet printer?
Everybody shows the process on you tube. What they dont show is what ink to use.
Do you use the actual injet ink or dtf transfer ink poured into refillable cartridges and then used in the inkjet??
Do you know if your printer uses pigment or dye ink? Also what is better, the shinny or dull side against the decal/shirt parchment paper? Thanks a bunch.
In this video, I used regular inkjet ink. But have since taken to using my sublimation printer with this hack. The inkjet ink does work but doesn't last as long as ink specifically used for fabric.
Either side of the parchment paper will work. I haven't seen a difference between the press and the two sides.
@@ColorMePorcha Thanks
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I was wondering about the inkjet/dtf, and by George you solved it! I will be attempting this, Thanks again!
Best wishes ✨️
Hi i just came across your video i watched the film an powder how to use. You made it look simple. I have a project to do on a tshirt for a friend. im gonna try this see how i do Thank You 👍😊
Best wishes ✨️
I guess there must be some rollers that had to be removed from the printer so as not to smudge the image as its passes out from the printer......
I used my heat gun to cure the ink
Yeah, I've used a heat gun, too. th-cam.com/video/IvzZxSo3bSk/w-d-xo.html
Do you have to use a special ink or can you just use the ink that came with the inkjet printer?
I just can't get my powder to melt and tips
so was this standard Inkjet Ink or dtf ink?also how is it wearing with washes etc? great video
Standard inkjet ink, it's holding up very well so far.
Thank you!
Emotional outburst! 😂😂😂 love that. Thanks for the video especially because you showed using the white powder on a black tee, where most other videos advise using black powder. What's your thoughts on that?
Love emotional outbursts, LOL!
But yeah, at the time of posting, I didn't know the difference, so I went with. My husband had the shirt on last night, so he's rocking it.
Thanks for the video. Is it possible to use white htv as a base before printing the dft?
any tricks if i dont have a heat press to cure the powder??
I’ve heard some uses them small oven
did you just use jet ink or Dtf ink
Looks and feels like the shirt just came fresh from a silkscreen shop. DIG IT! LOVE IT!
The color isn’t as vibrant
I just started with all the same equipment you have. So I have searched for any helpful videos for days just to help me get started and this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for posting this!
Thanks, best wishes ✨️
Amazing thanks for sharing❤️❤️❤️
By using inkjet printer, do you mean using the normal printer with dtf inks? Or with its inkjet inks?🤔
Thanks!
In this video, it's just regular inkjet ink, but I have used sublimation ink, too. See here:
th-cam.com/video/isamIgXRlQ4/w-d-xo.html
Do you use any inkjet printer?
I don't have a large heat press like you do. Do you think I could use the oven with an open ajar door and a silicone sheet to heat the powder on the film? Thank you.
It seems possible, but I'm not sure. Also, you may not want a foreign product in the same oven you cook in. But a few things I know work are a griddle, and heat gun. Best wishes!
Thank you for sharing Porcha. I always learn good info from you.
You're welcome 😊
Please, I need some help! I REALLY want this to work for me! I have the exact same printer you're using but when I tried this hack, it does NOT work for me. I used the exact same materials you did, with the same printer. What print settings did you use? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!
Not sure what's going wrong,
But here are the settings:
Photo Printing
T-Shirt Transfers
High quality
Best wishes ✨️
Hi Thank you for the awesome video.
Awesome, what's the name of the powder you used, thank you
Was there a wash test after
I’m waiting for someone to come out with a hack for the UV dtf transfers for cups!!
Yes, that'd be dope!
How are you getting the metallic colors from an inkjet or is that just how it appears with your lighting? Either way, It looks awesome on that black shirt!
Thanks! You guessed it, it's the light, LOL!
Where did you print image from? a Word document? Straight from a photo image?
From the Canon printer settings:
Photo Printing
T-Shirt Transfers
High quality
Best wishes ✨️
Cute design but I would have but it on a different color shirt
Thanks! I did, see here: th-cam.com/video/52zB7t3kQQA/w-d-xo.html
Would you please share what was your printer settings, paper choice and quality
I second this please
Can you press this on other surfaces like acrylic, wood, mugs or is it just for t shirts?
I haven't tried it, so I'm not sure. I noticed it kinda melts into the fabric, and I'm thinking it wouldn't be the same for solids.
Wow. Inkjet printer. You are the first person with this hack . Is it durable?
I'm gonna do I wash test in a follow up video, so I'll y'all know 😊
@@ColorMePorcha How did the wash go?
Well! I've washed it a couple of times so far (cold inside out) and the image and color are still intact.
@@ColorMePorcha Thank you for the reply😊
What program are you using to print onto the DTF? I know Cricut you can only print to a certain size.
Not anymore... Cricut updated the size to large. Open the cricut program; click settings; the general tab, look down and click "BETA"! (That's It)... To make sure that you did it right click the "load tab" look for "print then cut page size", click on it and you'll see several large sizes for your images... You can find lots of vids on youtube for instructions...
Has anybody tried pressing it without the powder? Curious to see how it looks?
It comes out to light
Thank you for sharing this hack my friend it's beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Great video, have you used this product with the Cricut Auto Press? It is the heat press I currently have.
Thanks!
No, I haven't tried it with the Auto Press yet, but if you do keep me posted.
So I have a question. What could be the issue if your powder is not curing?
Perhaps the heat source is not close enough to the image.
And this works with any inkjet printer? Any DTF film/powder? Thanks! =).
Very curious about how it held up after a wash or two.
Hi! It's been washed about three times, and it's not worn often, but I certainly can see fading. I've since taken to using my sublimation printer and ink with this hack, and the results have so far held up great! See here: th-cam.com/video/isamIgXRlQ4/w-d-xo.html

so this works with ink jet printer?would like to know more about ths product and how to use use it
Hi! Yes. Here's another video I did as well:
th-cam.com/video/52zB7t3kQQA/w-d-xo.html
Love the process and the image!
on the DTF film can u uses it over again
No it's a one time use
What's the purpose of the painters tape?
To add weight to the film, so my printer will print on the film and not just spit it out without printing the image
Love this! How was the design after the washing?

Can this be done without a vinyl underlay on dark cotton?
Not sure, but let me know if you try it.
It would be nice if you stated that you used regular ink jet ink to print out the image or not at the beginning. Thanks Shaenobi
hi will this work on tumblers and mugs?
I haven't tried it but I don't think it will. The powder and ink melt into the fabric whereas I don't think it'll work the same for solid materials.
Hey
When I tried this inkjet hack it looked great on white shirts not so good on black. With that said when I washed the shirts the ink really faded out a great deal.
I must add I am really new to this hack so I don’t know much 😊if any one has any suggestions on how not to have the faded look please help thanks
Have you tried the black dtf powder?
Do u use the ink that came with printer? Or pigment dye
Hi, just plain inkjet ink
So when you use painter's tape on the shiny side, it'll make printing on the matte side better. Plenty of drag. Make it like you're printing on iron-on and normal paper. Easy print out. All correct?
How many washes would this last? seen that its inject ink and not DTF ink..

@@ColorMePorchai see. You used sublimation ink?
Plus, can this DTF work with stretch fabrics like polyester/nylon/spandex?
How does it hold up after washing?
Hi! So far so good through one wash.
I love watching you I’ve learn a lot from you ..I wanna try this on 11x13 instead of a4 film can you help me find 11x17 film?
Is there a difference using a sublimation then a ink jet with this method or is it the same results?
Yes, there is a difference And it's all about longevity.
Sublimation ink is going to last longer as it is specifically made to infuse ink into fabrics, whereas inkjet ink is first and foremost made for paper. Now when you Introduce the DTF hack to either ink it extends the life of sublimation on 100% cotton and enables you to use inkjet ink directly on fabric.
Also, I answered your question in a Q&A video: th-cam.com/video/kud9Ed811Kk/w-d-xo.html
HELLO, I LOVE YOUR SHIRT. NICELY DONE.
Thank you!
does it need to be a laser printer?
No, I know this hack works on inkjet printers
wonder if you could use the T seal sheet for the seal over the graphic? it's a silicone sheet that used to seal the dtf on the shirt it says that not for sublimation ink?
I have a question. Is this DTF film better for dark color shirts? I have Yamation film and when I do it on a white shirt it comes out perfect, but when I do it on a black shirt the black fades into the transfer. So the picture is no longer the original color it’s turning black. I tried turning my heat press down but still the same results
No, for dark colors you need different supplies. I haven't fully explored that yet.
Dark colors you have to have that white background then put the power and sublimation ink over it
@@fendibondie2545can i put inkjet ink ?
This is awesome. can i use the images on glass n tumblers, as well? thanks.
Im using the hp 4100e printer and it is spitting the film right out without printing, would you know why this may be? Also i applied painters tape to give it a little weight.
Can you do the same process for 16 oz libby cup
What setting on the printer do you use? I was thinking premium presentation matte setting.
When printing, should it be flipped?
would of looked brighter on a white shirt great video
Is this done with regular inkjet ink?
Where is the code I don't see it
When you click on the link it's on the page
so does this mean I dont have to have a sublimation printer?
Nope you don't, but I will say sublimation is my go-to option... this process is good to have in your bag though
@@ColorMePorcha thank you, ps your videos are the best, I love that you go right to the training!
If using sub ink do you cure the same way
Have you posted the Wash results for this one and the sublimation one? n e links? thanks!!
She responded in another comment to say it’s been washed 3 times and not worn much and is visibly fading.
I have a clamshell how else to do it
Great video! Thank you so much! I didn’t create my own DTF. I ordered them online. Do you recommend that I use the powder each time I use a DtF, especially those that have been stored and unused for a while. I’m new at this and would appreciate any information you can share.
I don’t think you can use it later. You’re supposed to put the powder on while the ink is still wet. The DTF company probably put adhesive on when they printed it.
Would I get the same results with a LaserJet printer?
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I have one question. How long was your cool down time? And how long after it prints do you put the DTF powder onto the image. Thanks in Advance...
I am told you have to put the powder on right away, and it has to completely cool down after first press.
Do this work with white ink?
Can you reuse the film?
I'd say no. I think once we cure the area where the power is, that section is no longer usable.
Thank you
Thank you
You're welcome!
❤️
❤❤❤
Does this work on Dark Fabrics?
No
You need printer to print white ink
Question, are you using the ink that comes with the inkjet printer, or do you have sublimation ink in your printer?
Hi! I'm using inkjet ink.
Game changer!
Do you have to mirror the image
Yes
what printer setting did you use, like what was the paper type option choosen and which side of the paper do we print on? How durable was this, did it go away with one wash?
