Every once when in a while, when Israel and Palestine are in the news, I try to do a little research in order to educate myself on the issue. Unfortunately, pretty much every media source is blatantly biased towards Israel, and it has been rather difficult trying to find any piece of journalism describing Palestine's motive for striking Israel. In the past, I just googled the "Israel-Palestine conflict",read the first few articles that popped up, and left it at that. This time around I noticed many countries are siding with Palestine and it piqued my interest to understand why. Can't help but feel I've been misled on this matter...now my goal is to gain an understanding of why I was misled. This world is something else.
Then do more research. Most videos that support Palestine conveniently leave out the first couple thousand years of history. The world did not start in the 1900’s. That’s just a simple fact.

Gazans held elections, voted for Hamas (who won by less than 50% majority) and subsequently Hamas went on to kill their Palestinian political rivals and never allow elections again. They steal billions in foreign aid given to Gaza and use it to buy weapons, make hateful propaganda videos, and to maintain their leaders who live lavishly in Qatar (Ismail Haniyeh is just one of them). What Gazans need to do is release the hostages and get rid of Hamas, for the good of its own people.

What I am confused and at the same time upset at world leaders who can do things are simply not doing enough. You don't let people in Gaza or West bank into the dark and not expecting them to turn a light so they can see where they are or where they are heading. People could have done more. For example checking Hamas where their money is going, checking that Israel does not take more and more land in West Bank by destroying houses of Palestinians and taking their land. It's really sad that you have 1300 Jews dead and now most likely thousands more dead Gaza people. It reminds me exactly with the war in Ukraine. America and Europe saw that Russia was building up its army next to Ukraine and nothing was done to stop it and now we have a 2 years war where thousands if not hundreds of thousand people died. As a Christian I feel sorry for those who have not experienced the joy this has bought, the strength in adversity and the lessons learned about our role on this earth even in Sunday school.
