I've never wanted to learn v perm, but i immediately chose number 7 when i saw it, and i do it like this. Regrip thumb to the top, R' U R' U' R D' R' D, regrip thumb to top, R', then U and D' at the same time, R2' U' R2 D R2'
Hey, I know I'm a year late to the party but here goes. At 5:12, I learned this V Perm from you, but I found starting this V Perm with right thumb on the B layer and my other fingers on the F layer as opposed to my thumb on the D layer and other fingers on the U layer. This eliminates complicated finger tricks and regrips, but at first, it can be an awkward grip, but it's what I'm used to now
5:19 For this algorithn, you can do the following finger tricks (I found this on my own). Start with thumbs on front. R U' (with left hand) rolling R U (left hand push) R' D R D' (left ring finger push) l F' B R' l' U (with right hand) R' l' F' (left ring finger push) l R. You also end with both fingers in home grip. It looks complicated but it's not when you actually do it on a cube.
I usually do the V perm that J perm recomended, which has the block on top left, since I do my A perms also with the blocks on the same spot. So I can always line up the blocks to the top left to see which one it is (Aa Ab or V), and also this V perm is easy to do AUF. But if the situation is good enough, I would still do the forth one shown in 9:14. A rolling upwards R2 in the beginning and a soft regrip during the double move. Hope this helps
So I saw a comment on this video with a modified alg #7, it looks like this, start with thumb on top R’ U l F’ U R U2 R’ U’ R U’ R’ U2 R U R’ U’ the l move turns it into an RUF alg. It's my new main alg. I can't find that comment anymore, so I'm leaving this here. Props to the original guy who commented it
The one I use is this: R’ U l F’ U R U2 R’ U’ R U’ R’ U2 R U R’ U’ which is the same as the #10 in this video, but I visualize the cube rotation as a wide L F' instead of an R U' x'. I'm not it actually saves a move, but it seems more fluid to me and helps me remember the move better
I'm still going to use the no.6... it's still much more consistent and easy to finger trick. It has no risky wide moves and cube rotation which I quite mess up especially under pressure
I’ve got a really stupidly simple one for you... R U R’ F’ (start of a J-perm) R U R’ U R U2 R’ (sune) F R U’ R’ U (undo first four + U) R U2 R’ U’ R U’ R’ (anti-sune) It’s got no grip repositioning, it starts from home position, and for me at least it’s just as fast if not faster than the other ones I’ve found
You can do the standard v perm without rotation but you do a regrip whenever you roatete you can do a dw' to cancel the rotation and whenever you hold your cube there should be a block on front left whenever you use the alg
I discovered number 9 last yr and have been using it since. A little clunky, but I really like it. Other than the regrip at the start, the only other regrip can be done while doing the last D move, so not too bad
Daaaamn I just learned full PLL and I was waiting to see where my chosen V Perm ranked and he called it the "old standard algorithm". Guess I gotta learn a different one.

There’s also S’ U2 f R U’ R’ U’ R U R’ F’ R U R’ U’ R’ F R f’ U2 S. It’s a terrible algorithm that no one should ever use. The only advantage it has - much like the Aa perm as wide T perm - is that I already had most of the moves memorized already, since it’s just a setup to Y perm.

I do 7. R' U R' U' R D' R' D R' U D' R2 U' R2' D R2 with 2 "soft" regrips instead of one hard regrip so U D' are also done with rh index and ring from home position.
V perm is probably going to be the last one I learn, once I know what finger tricks I’m best at. So far, I’m about halfway through the PLLs, with Aa, Ga, Gc, H, Jb, Na, T, Ua, and Y, plus mirrored versions I use for Ja and Nb that I’ll probably end up changing. I use two Aas for Ab, two Uas for Ub, two-look starting with T-perm for F, Gb, Gd, Ra, and Rb, T U2 T for E perm, and I solve Z perms intuitively. V perm is the only one I still have to two-look that has a diagonal corner swap, and I don’t like it.
@@aidenbagshaw5573 oh ok that makes sense. I use the MU ones and as soon as I had Ua I basically has Ub because all i had to do was turn my U moves into U' moves
instead of doing two look f perm with t perm . u can use this: R' U' F' Tperm F U R. also notice that F' at end of t perm and the F move while undoing setup moves will cancel so ur alg becomes: R' U' F' (Tperm minus F') U R
when you have one of the headlights solved place the headlight to the left and do Algorithm Votes R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F' which will lead to EP (edge permutation) if you have no headlights solved , do Algorithm Votes F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F' at the point where the corners need to be swapped diagonally and you get those perms
I have a V perm algorithm that goes like this. You hold the 2x2x4 block of the unfinished layer back left (unfinished corners back right and front left, which puts the unfinished edges one at your right side and one facing you) and do this. r' F R F' r U r' F R' F' r U2 R U2 R' I don't know how many cubers are interested in this algorithm, but I think this algorithm is worth mentioning.
