@@SneakerStation thought the built-in fan was to cool down the lights? Also, do you leave the “door” of your setup a bit open to ventilate? Thinking if it’s closed, there’s not much ventilation. Might try your setup compared to the ones that need to cut plastic containers.
Only the shoes directly under the light on the top rack will heat up. The middle and bottom racks are perfectly fine. I’ve been using this setup for a while now, and never had seperation.
Yep. Check out the description in this linked video. It’s my more recent icebox video. Ultimate Sneaker ICE BOX tutorial! Revive your YELLOWED soles! th-cam.com/video/vpFNbvvWR4Y/w-d-xo.html
Yeah, the light reflects on the mylar film so every angle is covered. I would recommend having the yellow areas face the light, and space them out if possible.
The stand is great because you get more space. I can fit like 7+ pairs in here at once. This is my old tutorial, you can find the updated one on my page
Hey! The UV light won’t fade your shoes. To be extra sure everything goes smoothly, try not to get any unyellowing solution on those type of materials.
Regular rubber can usually be restored in under 5 hours. Icy soles will take alot longer depending on condition. I check on them every 2-3 hours to see how they’re doing to determine. I don’t do more than 20-30 hours for any shoe though.

Thank you! Nice idea. ❤
Thank you for watching! I have a more updated video if you’re interested though.
I’ve seen other tutorials adding in fans to blow air in to keep the shoes cool. Did you think about adding that in your setup?
Its not needed. By using mylar film and having good ventilation, the unit runs cool majority of the time. Also there’s a fan built in.

@@SneakerStation alright. Will try it out. Likely just gonna use the second rack to be safe. Thanks boss.
No prob. Coincidentally I’ve been working on making an easier to follow guide. It’s basically the same thing but using a better shoe stand.
Hi sir. Do you have websites where we can buy the UV Lights? I really need your help sir, because it's so hard to find UV Lights in our hometown.
Yep. Check out the description in this linked video. It’s my more recent icebox video.

Thank you so much for replying sir! ❤ God bless
Can I use the same set up to remove yellow midsole.
This is mainly for rubber and icy soles. Midsoles are a hit or miss. If you tell me which shoe you’re working on, I can let you know.
This was so clear thank you!!
If I get this set up , I don’t need to dry them up in the sun ??
Correct. This method is also safer than using sunlight.
Do the shoes on the bottom get the same results as the ones closet to the light?
Yeah, the light reflects on the mylar film so every angle is covered. I would recommend having the yellow areas face the light, and space them out if possible.
Im making a ice box as well, thanks for the great tip!
Any time! Best of luck.
Is the shelf important? or could you just put your shoes upside down to get full coverage on soles?

Hi sir. Aside from Salon Care 40 do you have any recommendations sir? Because Salon Care 40 is too expensive for me right now sir..
You could try salon care 20 or 30. It’s slightly weaker but still gets the job done.
Okay bro, noted. Thank you very much bro! ❤🙌🏻
Thank you so much, this video is really helpful, keep it up bro🫶🏻
Thanks man!
The box doesn’t need any type of ventilation?
The unit comes with a fan built in, and I cut a hole at the top of the cardboard to allow air flow. I do 8 hour sessions and the unit barely gets hot
Could I ice multiple shoes at a time in this ?
Yea i can do up to 4-6 pairs in this
how long did it take for the foams to ice?
Hey bro, can this ice box use as shoes dyer too?
Hello, this is just to unyellow shoes. You could use it as a regular shoe stand too
@@SneakerStation ok bro its really helping, thanks bro
hey bro, does the uv light fade the shoes? like black nubuck, suede etc like jordans. thanks
Hey! The UV light won’t fade your shoes. To be extra sure everything goes smoothly, try not to get any unyellowing solution on those type of materials.
Can this be done in reverse somehow? Like a way to actively make shoes yellow? To make them look worn/vintage?
Hey! Its not possible as far as im aware
If you want to make a sole look old and vintage, dip it in coffee water.
or maybe wear em
will 1000 watt work just as fine?
Yeah, but its overkill. More power than necessary.
How long do you leave the shoes in there?

Ok I’ll try for 12 and see what happens
@@SneakerStation thank you
Also tape up the traction pods because long sessions can cause traction loss
@@SneakerStation ok cool will do thank you
Not you can only just restore your shoes in, you can restore your shoes in there. 5:39
