And even current body armor will take an absolute beating from shotguns before any of the pellets make it through. However the fact that the pellets don't make it through doesn't mean there isn't energy transfer from the impacts. Bruising from even a single impact is possible and broken ribs are a possibility. So yeah, even with the armor that would have been traumatic but unlikely to be fatal in the short term.

What a coincidence. I recently watched this for the first time myself! I loved every second of it. I immediately watched the sequel as soon as it was over. Thanks for the video, Alex. We love and appreciate you! ❤️
@ProBreakers I haven't seen that one just yet. I saw the remake, though. That was the first Robocop movie I ever watched. I liked it and then I saw that HBO had all 3 of the originals on it. I wish I watched them sooner than I did. I was really missing out! Lmao
“I really need to know what happens if you shoot him in the mouth” Not much. His face is just stuck on top of a robotic head. A lot of people miss that. It’s not that his real face is surrounded by the robot stuff, they literally peeled it off, replaced all the stuff in his head, and slapped his face back on. EDIT: Good on you for actually catching that when he takes off his helmet.
Dude. John F. Kennedy former President of the US was still showing signs of life despite having half his head blown off. He ultimately did die, but he had a heartbeat and breath sounds. The human body can take a lot of punishment.

He survived but he did receive lifelong injuries to the left side of his face and experienced irregular bouts of epileptic seizures.
Oui, et Paul Verhoeven, qui est un grand réalisateur, intelligent et aussi malin, savait très bien qu'une balle dans la tête avec un morceau de crâne qui part avec allait certainement raisonner très fort dans la tête du spectateurs américain.
I remember watching the first movie of Robocop as a kid (And yes, there are sequels to this movie) and i remember thinking " This guy can bust through walls like the Koolaid Guy from commercials, can take on bullets like superman, and has the best design for a super hero cop". Robocop to me was the definition of an Ultimate Super Hero.
That gun is a Barrett M82 anti-material rifle (though in the film it’s playing the part of a fictional “Cobra Assault Cannon”) with a goofy ass fake optic on top. We used to use it to shoot unexploded ordnance when I was in the military.

Lmao Godzilla Minus One made everyone question why most movies today have insane budgets. Godzilla Minus One had a budget of about 15 million and it honestly had incredible effects.
Watched this movie to death when I was too young to be watching it, one of my faves. If you wanna see more campy cult classic futuristic Paul Verhoeven movies I recommend Starship Troopers (1997) & Total Recall (1990). Hollow Man (2000)was ok too.
Movies today cost $200 million because they use a lot of vfx people to make their deadlines, on top of stars getting a big paycheck. Red One has 2 big stars in it (Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans), that has to be close to half of the budget right there. If you look at Robocop, there were lots of known actors in there (Peter Weller was an established actor, but he wasn't GIANT MOVIE STAR), Ronny Cox, Ray Wise, Nancy Allen - but none were huge paycheck actors like Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, etc. The year before this, 1986 had Aliens. Aliens notoriously has a low budget for what they did. $16 million at the time, which James Cameron used very wisely, on top of paying Sigourney Weaver a lot of money.
Great reaction! It's a great movie! Robocop is my favorite childhood hero. And I also like the cool robot ED-209! I've always been amused by the moment when the ED-209 robot shoots itself in the arm, and then it has a short circuit from pain and shakes violently for a few seconds 23:37. And also the final scene with this robot at the end 31:03. Poor robot 🤖
The remake is absolute b*ll*cks, but the sequel is a campy blast! While RoboCop 2 isn't nearly as good as this one it's still well worth a go! The 3rd should be flushed down the same lavatory as the remake. With battery acid.
0:51 due you did the magpie better than the pidgeon, if i was taking a walk and heard you doing that across the street, id think im about to get swooped
I've seen other reactors calling popular movies "cult classic". So they don't know what that term means... a movie that was seen by few people but grew a cult following through the years. A box office hit like Robocop was widely seen when first released and liked by audiences.... so it's not a cult classic.
No the most attractive cop I've ever met was in Tumby Bay, South Australia! I was shocked by his beauty, he looked like he stepped straight out of Home and Away 😂😅
I actually got to fire the robocop gun once, was a lot less kickback then I expected, well only one single shot no tripple round. Apparently some gun maker did it as a joke, but was such a big hit people ordred enough they made a few.
The sequel is great. The third one is an acquired taste... It got watered down, violence-wise, to cater to all the kids that were becoming obsessed with him... feels kinda like a robocop from a different universe or something; only worth watching if you really liked the first two and just want more.
"1987..........Freddie Mercury has just died" maybe in another multiverse. and NO! you could watch RoboCop 2 and possibly 3, but that's it. reboots/remakes should always be ignored.
Robocop is so classic! I watched it so many times as a kid. The sequel is awesome too. The remake is ok, not great but not completely terrible. Probably not worth it, but also not to be avoided at all cost. For an action movie I want to recommend Law Abiding Citizen, that movie is so damn good! Or Guns Akimbo because it's hilarious and underrated.
When you're having a bad day, just remember that Murphy got ressurected just to get him back to work...

What we really need is Robocop vs Terminator
Somehow they were both treated like kids movies. Which is wild. But the T-101 would destroy Robocop
