I had the privilege of firing a Legion P226 9mm back to back with my standard P226 9mm. I can honestly say that you can feel a difference in the way the gun handles. Nothing spectacular but definitely noticeable. I think this review did a great job summing it up. It isn't any one upgrade that makes it stand out but a combination of them all. While I don't foresee me spending the money on a new Legion P226, I do see myself upgrading my current P226 to get it as close to the Legion as possible.

I did not know I could upgrade to low profile decocker and slide lock and will look into that. Liked and subscribed!
I bought the one with the Flat short reset trigger a couple of days ago, got to shoot it today. AWESOME!!! Accurate right out the box and trigger was great too, didn't check the weight yet though. At 10 yds with factory ammo (115 Fed, and 115 Rem) I shot nice one hole groups. My match ammo also shot 1 hole at 10 yds. I wring it out at 25 yards on my next range trip. Very happy with this gun, wasn't cheap though.
I held one and got the chance to go over it thoroughly today! $1250 was the price at the shop I always visit! Super nice! It would be my first Sig if if goes down. Excellent video review! Thanks!

just for info, when equipped with a short reset trigger, you should always lower the hammer before pulling the slide off on disassembly. can't remember why, just remember it being in the manual :) great video.

I absolutely love the Legion Series Pistols; so much so that I convinced a buddy to rent one at a local range. We both decided we had to have one. It is one of the best shooting pistols I have ever shot in my life.
Just got mine. I had the mk25 ordered and a buddy called me and said a legion p226 was on the shelf. I couldn't pass it up for the 250 extra. The sites and the trigger alone makes it worth it.
Sig failed to do the X5 undercut under the Braver Tail so the so-called X5 undercut under the trigger guard does squat, in terms of a higher purchase on the still high Bore Axis.
Yeah, I compared the price of buying a base 226 and all the parts separately, but I realized that it saves me time and money just to buy the legion. And I do actually like the color of the legion. Like, it works out conveniently. ☠️
Steve------good video, my son got one of these ( I shot it and its a beauty)but being Navy I got a MK25 version( Lol Im a poser) what would you say owning both? I know about the trigger but I can live with mine but how would you rate them? Thanks
+russ elder I own both, so I see no problem with it! :) The only change I've made to my MK25 is the addition of the SRT kit. The Legion still shoots a BIT better (for me) than the MK25, but not enough to make me dislike the MK25. The MK25's military heritage makes it special.

I just made my lay away today. I took the dough I had down on a Glock 19 and put it on the 226 instead. I layed another two hundred down to add to that. Since it was used, I saved two hundred bucks. You can't even tell it's used. ...lol... I love the purchase, the night sights are awesome! I love the weight. It's a solid gun for sure. I wanna try out that Sig 365 for when it's way too hot outside. The 226 is gonna be my winter gun. It is so hard to put this pistol down without immediately wanting to hold it again. ...lol... since I never did get married, I have so much money left over to buy the guns I think I need to maintain my self esteem. It really isn't about self defense for me. I love plinking and just owning these motherfuckers is the equivalent to a penis enlargement, huge lotto win and all the girls that said no. ...lol...lol...
The legion is all hype to justify a higher priced pistol. I have a P220 made in 2002 stock for duty. To upgrade it I put a solid stainless recoil guide rod in it, went from 7 to 8 round mags, new recoil spring and night sights. That’s all I needed.

I flipped my 229 legion 40 lost 300 finish sucked, more than even a 600 hk p30 or my pass 229 that I paid 620 new for. They should learn some things from companies like Wilson combat or even a Springfield trp operator very durable long lasting finishes. What I should have done is shipped to Robar spent 395.00 and had the gun np3 plus coated but did nit want to throw more money into the gun.
I respect everyone's opinion, and moreso when based on first-hand experience. I also have a MK 25, but find the Legion superior in a number of aspects. Have you live fired a Legion?

I love my legion. Had to adjust the sights a bit, but besides that, it hasn't had any issues in roughly 750 rounds.

$1250 is a bit steep. You can find these for about $1100 on Gunbroker. $1179 with most online retailers.

Steve Jenkins, the grip on the Legion. is it designed more for right handed shooters? If so do they make left hand grips?
Aaron Howe i do find it is more for right handed shooter, but it is comfortable when i shoot off hand as well.

on it and the first trigger pull is long.
