I saw the other view. The game should have been stopped, Carrington jailed for assault, CC treated medically for what could have been a serious injury, and the refs fired for corruption. This was an attempt to injure CC PERMANENTLY! It was deliberate, and she wasn't in the game mentally from then on. I think the league has been corrupted by outside influences. The refs and some players are obviously out to stop CC. Until this is straightened out, I think CC and the Fever should take a break and clean up their own organization as well.

Hahaha. Now, WHY would they want Clark OUT of the game. She was the SUN'S biggest asset. She didn't just go 2-13 from three, she also had four turnovers. The person she was guarding, Marina Mabrey, had her best game ever with 27 points off the bench. She was 'injured"? Really? How do you explain the fact she was even worse when they played the Suns to start the season? That was the game she set the WNBA record with 10 turnovers in her debut. She was assaulted then, too?

She should be suspended from the playoffs, period. But the W won't do a damn thing. Then there are the Refs. Three timer play stops when the Fever was making a fast break and none when the Sun was making a fast break. Calling a foul on a black woman who wasn't anywhere near the infraction and then shifting the foul to a white woman? They don't care who they call a foul on as long as it isn't a Sun player.

I'm only watching the WNBA due to Caitlan Clark. I believe Carrington planned her attack on Clark and maybe even practiced how to do it. She used her right hand to come across Clark's face and stab Clark in her right shooting eye, knowing as a player the impact that would have on Clark's right handed shot. Clark is right eye dominant, right hand shooting. Carrington knows that and she also knows the psychological impact being intentionally attacked has on a person! Carrington intentionally bent her fingers into a claw with nail extensions at the end of each finger and stabbed Clark in the eye. An act of criminal assault.

The fluffy false eyelashes are a hindrance, you see Carrington trying to fix hers after she lost a contact lens, stopped the game to find it (who gets to do that), she found it on the dirty floor and placed it back in her eye with no cleaning solution etc. Potential eye infection. This is the 2nd time Carrington hurt Clark. Now that more people are watching the WNBA games it’s time to put some dressing code rules and behavior rules in place (bullying behavior). The way it is done now an “Accident waiting to happen.” No preventive measures.

I know if any player is injured by the types of assault Clark has suffered , I will now longer watch or support the league. I think millions of others feel the same way. Let the Sport go broke and just go back the way it was and struggle to stay alive.

If the WBNA does not protect high scoring players like CC with reviews of flagrant fouls that should draw fines and suspensions, it will regress into obscurity. The NFL finally made rules to protect quarterbacks when they realized how important they were to the popularity of the game and higher scoring.

That girl's hand motion was not a basketball move. A basketball move would have been hand straight up with fingers spread. She intentionally bent her wrist down with her fingers pointed directly at Clark's face after the ball was already gone.

WNBA ... You don't have to ask if it's intentional... Watched the footage the fingers turns sunddenly Into a snake like form and hit it's target in the eye... Action against the players and the refs should be done...

Cheating is when you intentionally do something to harm and make the other less competitive to gain advantage. The hand motion clearly shows the intent to harm. If it's not intentional the fingers should have been apart and the follow tru should have been a slapon the head and not a poke in the eye. That's a dangerous intentional foul that can lead to blindness. Thankfully those long nails did not hit her eyeballs. For me that's CHEATING plain and simple.

The WNBA Playoffs. We expected a tough battle. A young team against the seasoned team. We now won't see that. A cheap shot. A cowards act to fix the game. This is as bad as Harding vs Kerrigan. A clear assault that will effect the outcome. Sad.

Why wearing those talons? An eye poke isn't too bad with just the finger but with those 9" NAILS not good for the player. She should get fined and suspended but that is just an old fan of WNBA suspicion of a foul uncalled,

Watching the follow through of the attempted block, it seems clear it was intentional. The folding of the wrist downward toward her eyes was not a normal reaction. When attempting to block a shot the hand always got UP, not Down.

The slow-mo replay clearly shows a non-natural motion aiming for the face - DC was just lucky to get the eye. She should be suspended - but the chickenshit WNBA will claim it was just a normal follow-through of her attempt to block the shot.
