It was obviously intentional. Watch how she changes hand position after trying for the ball, and stabbing straight into CC's eye. Not only is CC being fouled more frequently than most, but she is also being treated unfairly by some of these referees. CC is the “cash cow” for this league. CC plays at a very high level, driving for the hoop. Also, CC is WHITE! Sheryl Swoops can’t handle having a white girl smashing all women’s basketball records. The only reason I’ve started watching the WNBA is because of her shooting skills. If I could see a 6’ woman defying gravity and slamming the dunk like Muggsy, Boykins, or Spud, I’d want to watch that too. CC could hold her own against any NBA player shooting the 3’s. To have these jealous beeches flagrantly fouling like this should be an immediate ejection and deal with them after the game. In MMA, a fighter may get away with one or two eye pokes but then the fight is called and the culprit is suspended. CC seems like a smart, determined, skilled and fair individual. You lose her to a season (or permanent) or career ending flagrant foul, your WNBA can go back to $hit ratings. I hope she has an outstanding insurance policy.
