Yes, that is the album artwork. And good eye for art because it’s by the legendary Storm Thorgerson! The man created a massive number of album covers, including probably the most famous cover of all, The Dark Side of the Moon. He did the following Muse album, Black Holes and Revelations, as well.

I think the album art is the Rapture happening during the Apocalypse (the album’s opening track is “Apocalypse Please) and the guy left behind is truly an outcast because even his shadow is facing the wrong direction.

I love Muse. First thing that comes to mind is how does the lead singer sing so high with such intensity while also soft? Then the instrumental parts consistently keep you on your toes and they take you in an unexpected yet satisfying direction. Love the synth arpeggio floating around in the background. Great pick and great react!

Muse is such an underrated band. They hit big at a time when others like Incubus, RHCP, and other hot pop punk bands were going off so they often get forgotten in some circles. And yeah Matthew Bellamy is incredibly talented - classically trained in piano and can just shred on the guitar, all while singing. It’s insane. I’ve been able to see them live a few times and even got to meet them. Great reaction!

They're one of the biggest rock acts today. Gtfo with that underrated shit

@@ashraffaridharis5570 in the U.S. though? Like I said, in some circles, they wouldn’t even be mentioned in a top 10 of favorite bands. But yes, their shows are some of the most elaborate performances out there and draw big crowds, especially in the U.K.

@@Neo6364 i agree with you 100% and you’re so lucky!! i’ve never seen them live but i need to badly, especially on this tour

@@dsxndoval I hope you get to see them. I believe they belong on a list of bands that sound even better live and put on an incredible show. I met them in 2005 when they were doing an MTV-U campus tour in the U.S. They came to Michigan State and I won a raffle during the village event a few hours before the show. I had them sign a vinyl size poster of the Absolution cover art and still have it packed away somewhere. Chill dudes and very appreciative.

I’ve reacted to a lot more Muse over on Patreon including live performances because they unfortunately usually get blocked from release on TH-cam, thx for watching! :)

If you haven't heard much Muse, it sounds like you might really enjoy some of their best stuff. I'd recommend checking out their song Citizen Erased off an album from 2001.

Trish requested the live version of that one a couple months ago it’s on the Patreon ;)

You made a comment about Matt singing high registers a lot here. Man y'ain't heard NOTHING. :) Check out Micro Cuts if you want your mind absolutely blown by that voice. 100% falsetto and still somehow metal as fuck. It's a unique beast even amongst Muse's discography.
Also, just a note: You should listen with both earpieces in. Stereo tracks split some instruments into the left/right ear only, so you're almost definitely missing out some of the depth of the songs you listen to.

You finally got a Muse reaction to TH-cam! Somebody should request One Direction’s Stockholm Syndrome song at some point haha. ;)
Also Muses new album WILL OF THE PEOPLE comes out this month (August 2022). ;)
