For the Hive Mother setup, there are definitely better options if one doesn't mind more setup. The joys of the game having experience based mostly on actions taken than action types done. Melee doesn't need anything if you're not looking for Vitality experience. No repairs when you just punch. Stronger weapons are preferred for Vitality experience. Ranged has Slingshots for a faster stream of shots. Magic has the Arcane Staff, which is drastically faster than the Simple Staff. The best option for this method involves getting 50 Range Combat to max out Weakness Detection and 50 Magic to max out Mana Channeling to upkeep mana. Warlock is the only skill that doesn't have a pre-wall better option, as you'd need a Tome of Depths from the Sunken Sea. The jellyfish minions attack a lot faster than the bats.
One trick I used to help gather the mobs that spawn on the far side of the hive mother is using the rift lens. I built the protected moat area similar to yours, teleported across to aggro the mobs, then teleported back. Also, you mentioned that you need access to iron in order craft conveyor belts, but I'm pretty sure you need tin to make them...? Great video, as always! @DakonsMadhouse i think you need iron cuz the automation table is made in the iron workbench, and thats the tabke where tou make conveyors. I could be totally wrong though.
Vitality gains EXP based on the max health of the enemy killed, red/orange slimes have the lowest health, it's probably better to farm the grubs than the slimes simply because they have more HP and the same spawn chance.
for range, summoning, and magic damage i kill king slime wear the crown set and just summon glurch since you can see his health bar its easy to know when to stop hitting him. the slime crown doesn't let you hit him with melee so thats the only thing that doesn't work and it only costs 500 money to summon him
Was about to try the Hive Mother hack, but how do you break through the floor/walls? Have iron equipment, but barely make a dent in order to make a moat! How did you do it at low level??? Read you can use bombs, but they aren't an exact demolition device.
you want to try to get your mining dmg as close to 281 as you can. If you add a ring of rock and a ring of stone that will help a lot. There's also the larva armor. The chest drops off of Ghorm. The caveling pants give a lot of mining dmg too. You have to use more than just the pick to get your mining high enough.
@@DakonsMadhouse Thanks for the info! Sort of a pain to switch back & forth between gear to get the special stats, just wish we had more/could add more gear set ups since they don't take up inventory slots!
any weapon is fine. when it comes to raising melee you get xp for each hit, so doing less dmg helps you get more hits per mob before it dies. But if you're churning through enemies quickly and the goal is to kill them fast for the vitality points also, then ya use a stronger weapon.
Can you make a video explaining what to do with the nuclear battery and what am I doing wrong that the merchants don't spawn in their room that I place the items for them are placed
the battery is the same as other merchant spawning items. You need to make a room that is no smaller than 2x2 and no bigger than 8x8. It needs a bed, and a door. Place the item in the room and the merchant will spawn in that room within a few seconds.

The teleport greatly helped me farm a variety of stuff not to mention, move faster than a feather trinket. Don't sleep on lenses

you can put any ground tile down for the mob farm. I put the slime down as an example because I had lots of it. Use anything you want.
Grubs need triggering those cocoons, so they're not the best choice.
In all fairness this is the best strat even after the wall drops. Heart OP Hive Mama

btw if you play melle you ca just attack without any weapons, its making you have an infinite melle weapons and you can be afk on it

Great ways to cheese the system! Now I just need to find some Shrooms - can they be grown in the Mob Farm or are the monsters randomised?
they can be grown. they spawn on fungal soil

Tried a similar setup but Hive Mother de-aggros and stops spawning pretty quickly but if I'm any closer she spews acid...

Couldnt you put a spike trap in that last farm on the single tile to afk farm?
yes you can, but if you have the spike trap kill the creature then you can't get the skill gain from killing it yourself.
