The four preset modes (Tour, Urban, Gravel and Off Road) on the 2020 basic model do not allow us to change the Power or Engine Breaking values. But we can change the Traction and Wheelie settings.
Does this mean P and EB are the most important elements of the bikes performance and stability? What should we set T at, in these modes? Why do the engineers trust us to select T in these defined modes? I’ve been riding for a couple of years and I’ve already ridden this bike in tougher/slicker places than many will ever try. But I’m realizing I don’t really understand the HSTC. I don’t want to overthink it but I’d like to understand it.

Lower it, so set it to 0.
If you want to wheelie, you need also allow the G-mode to be enabled so the throttle fully controls the back-wheel.

Hey, how to make the ABS AW and TC stay the same cfg as the last time the bike was on?!

Can't do that, if you are trying to make them stay off. What you can do is add one of them to the favourite-button. (The star)

The modes and settings are a bit confusing and misleading. If you set power to 1, that’s the most aggressive which is a bit odd in itself, but also you’ll only see one blue segment on the power circle which unless you knew otherwise you would assume means it’s the least power. Same goes for engine braking - 1 is the most and 4 the least. The circle graphs are poorly thought out and should make it obvious what less and more power looks like. The HSTC on the other hand is the reverse with 1 being the least intervention and 7 the most. Don’t even ask me about wheelie control, I haven’t figured that one out yet. I honestly don’t know what Honda were thinking when they came up with this setup. Despite all that, the bike is amazing and I think a little effort setting out a couple of user modes is well worthwhile.

@@firestorm996 Its confusing in my 2019 crf 1000 too. Power 1-2-3 More to less. Engine bragking 1-2-3 More to less. HSTC 0-7 Less to more intervention. I set mi bike in 1-3-4 for road. And 1-3- 6 for gravel and rain.
