Printing this on a P1S with the textured plate without glue. I am not having any adhesion issues. I haven't used glue with my P1S yet. As far as I know it's only needed with specific materials. PLA should not ever need it
I've had so many issued with adhesion in the past with other printers that this has become part of my workflow, especially when they supplied it with the printer. Every so often I wash it all off the plate and start over, so next time I do ill try some prints without the glue stick and see how I get on. Thanks for the tip.
@foxmcleod yup. One of my old ones was a creality. I decided just to stop thowing money at them for upgrades to 'fix' it and just invest in the P1S. Glad I did.
Hello. Yup I've got loads of the v1s printed and I'll be releasing an updated (previously recorded) video this week if all goes to plan. And I'm always confused by the neck and only noticed the abdomen was sided this week.
It would probably print but I doubt it would snap together in resin. Maybe an abs like resin might have a bit of give in it that would possibly work. Best to try just a couple of joints first to test.
I've never used glue stick and I have 6 3D printers and never had bed and he's in problems with any material, and to my knowledge I think glue stick is used for certain materials to make it easier to release from the bed not help it stick from that information I was able to get by doing some research before I got into 3D printing.........
Yeah, I've read that on certain bed/material combinations, you have to use it too (PETG maybe?) I've just got into the habit of using it as I used to have terrible adhesion problems with previous printers. With hindsight I think it may be more to do with humidity and hydrated filament because of the environment where I print stuff. I'll give it a go without the glue next time I clean up the plate
I really want to get into doing articulated figures like the Dummy13, which filament would you recommend for these types of prints with lots of joints? PLA or PETG? Im on an Ender 3 btw, the base one.
Thanks! This was helpful in building our first dummy 13.
Thanks for a great Dummy 13 building video! I found the designer's silent video quite daunting
Welcome. I love making them. It's addictive..
Thanks i made an 500% scale one and you helped me assemble it
Wow how tall is that? I wouldn't need a macro lens for one of them..
@@spidermaf if you want one go to bambu handy and search up dummy 13 500% scale with opposable hands and the pic should be a blue one
Why do this to me. Now I really want a 3D printer. Damn you sir. 🤣😂
The bambu A1s are a good deal now. Go with one of them if you want something that just works that won't break the bank
My modi-bot snuck away 1/2 way through this video. Found him hiding behind the resins. Cool vid! That looked fun to assemble.
glue on the textured PEI plate?! why?! the reason for using that kind of plate is to avoid the need of stuff like that
Thanks

@@spidermaf I know how you feel. My creality had a lot of issues. The Bambu is like magic next to it.

Printing parts for the Dummy 13 requires glue every time single time on my P1S, the frame parts in ASA.
@@martinjohansen9128 glad it’s not just me. I tried again without glue specially and just produced spaghetti… again..
The abdomen is backwards, and the neck piece is upside down. Have you printed the V1.0?

What filament did you use ?
It was all bambu pla matte in this video.
would you say it's printable in resin?
It would probably print but I doubt it would snap together in resin. Maybe an abs like resin might have a bit of give in it that would possibly work. Best to try just a couple of joints first to test.
Salad fingers? Is that you?
Still no. Wrong accent.
@@spidermaf”I like touching rusty spoons”
Why you do mistake and dont cut this part im lost my dummy
Can we make it of different colours
Of course. Just change the colour of the filament.

I used bambu's pla and pla matte for the armour parts, but the black connector 'skeleton' parts are just a cheap black pla from amazon. Sunlu maybe?
