- Growing concerns about US President Biden’s mental fitness have triggered a response from the White House that mentions a clash with the Israeli premiere. White House officials defended the ageing President by citing his foreign policy discussions with Netanyahu, The New York Times reported. Biden’s clash with Netanyahu over how to respond to Iran’s attack serves as evidence that he is still capable of leading from the Oval Office, the White House said. The NYT report said Biden had refused to support a significant Israeli response to Iran’s massive missile and drone attack in April. Biden told Israeli PM Netanyahu at the time, “If you launch a big attack on Iran, you’re on your own,” according to the report.
