@@DiamondCake2 I think it's the constant need for upkeep/maintenance, accumulating profits, keeping the guests happy, etc, etc that makes me give up on these types of games. I used to have Roller Coaster Tycoon on my iPad and played it a decent amount but it just became so tedious. So watching Jon do all of the fun stuff while cutting out quite a bit of that type of stuff is great.
Theres tons of games that are just more interesting and fun being a spectator. Ive tried tons of times to play games like crusader kings or civ but its just boring but i can watch other people play it just fine
Technically, you don't have to, they auto hire when opened, but you do have to hire staff to cover for when the auto hired staff need a break though. What he didn't actually discover was that you have to manually open the shops, a weird change (they auto opened when placed in PC1) that I can forgive him for overlooking. It's just a lack of diligence that stopped him checking they were working.
The existence of Captain Jons very much sexual adventures have now been implied twice now, and thus I think I speak for AT LEAST 3 of the viewers in saying this needs exploring.
What a lovely wooden coaster you've created Jon, not at all a recipe for getting guests' necks snapped off when they run into tree branches at extremely high speeds.
Absolutely S Tier title. I still think about that poor lad getting named Captain Jon's Non-Sexual Pirate all the time. One of my favourite bits of the whole channel.
Your Roller Coaster Tycoon playlist is still one of my favorites that I frequently revisit. Was very surprised to see a return of Jon's Non-Sexual Pirate Adventure so many years later.
Jon... thanks for adding the link to your RCT2. Wow... 8 years ago. Things were so different, and I love how even your voice seems calmer haha. Jon, I just cocking love all you do. 🎉❤
This park reminds me of a very old Disney water park they used to have. It was called Typhoon Lagoon. It's not open anymore and has been like that for so long, I actually wondered if my childhood brain just made it up. (It thankfully didn't that time.)
Finally, a normal person playing this game on TH-cam. I've been enjoying seeing creators build insane looking stuff, but these people have full on dedicated channels to this game and maybe Planet Zoo. So I was wondering from a "I've only got that many hours in a day" kind of perspective what it would be like for someone with less time and experience in it. I played Planet Zoo a little and while I enjoy what the building system can do, it just always felt too overwhelming and tedious to get things right when there's not a pre-designed building I liked.
As a massive coaster nerd i do kinda love watching Jon design coasters. Betrays the classic design of the first drop being the biggest, thinks his ride isnt that big despite it being top 10 biggest wood coasters in Europe, and has super janky transitions where he doesnt use the smoothing tool when im used to people going over the ride again and again to make sure its super smooth and realistic. I struggle to build anything in this game because making it realistic is tough, whereas this is like a themed version of everything i loved building back in the rollercoaster tycoon days.
Is it just me or is this park actually good? Like the only real problem is the lack of lifeguard coverage in the lagoon and that could be sorted by sticking a couple on the island and around the edges. Though yes I do want Captain Jon's very not safe for work pirate adventures.
@@Jute511 Ooh, thanks for the warning! I've played through Cyberpunk 2077, so I can deal! But, if i wanted to play on my time off work, then this would suck to not be aware of the buggie ness.
You know, when you said you were taking Captain Jon's Non-Sexual Pirate Adventure to the next level, my first though was "so it's going to be Captain Jon's Sexual Pirate Adventure?"
Day 251 of requesting Age of Mythology. I was there for the livestream where you renamed a rollercoaster with this title. If you really want to make it accurate, you need to omit the word "adventure" at the end due to a character limit. Also, your giant pool idea isn't too far off of a real world attraction. I forget where it is, but it's big enough you can rent sailboats. There's also an incredibly deep pool with ruins built on the bottom you can dive to explore. This game still needs more animatronic options if it wants to get me interested, but it's got potential.
I wish Jon got a little bit more into the management side of the park. That's where the longevity for a game like this is, and PC1 wasn't the best at it...
If I had a quarter for every video where I’ve seen a British TH-camr play this game and dedicate the park to the idea of “big pool” I’d have 2 quarters which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.
Hay Jon, did you know that you can build and test your rides at the same time and you can see the live data from your rides from the testing tab in the ride menu.
Expected Jon to say that what the bridge needed was some ballast. Also, does the game actually look to see if a design would cause a coaster to derail or any other such lethal disasters that I super expect Jon's works would result in if made in the real world?
It's not in the premade blue prints but you can use the many different pieces of scenery to make whatever you want. People made stuff like a full sized Eiffel Tower in Planet Coaster 1.Someone's already made a Timberborn scenery pack for RCE. Give it some time and there will be a pirate scenery pack.

Same with that aquarium simulator he played years ago, I watched a 6 hour stream of it but got bored of the actual game after 2 hours lol

It's that narrative rizz.
Same. You should also see Silvarret's builds. [In this and PlanCo 1]. If you haven't, do. Amazing.

As one of the devs I’m so happy to see you playing this. Hope for a livestream ❤
It's always nice to see devs in the comments! The game looks super good, congrats :)
@@arturillosmeriglia8029thank you :)
You are taking notes to add a pirate themed DLC, right?
Will we be getting the themes from Planet Coaster 1 anytime soon? I'd love for the pirate, space and fantasy themes in particular to make a return.
Are you guys working on sci-fi themed stuff?
The existence of Captain Jons very much sexual adventures have now been implied twice now, and thus I think I speak for AT LEAST 3 of the viewers in saying this needs exploring.
Captain Jon's Hedgehog Pirate Adventure
Definitely at least 3
That was one of his valentines specials where he made monster women into sex slaves as a pirate
Those would be his House Flipper videos.
Just OnlyJons, complete with egg cartons in sexy poses and with hedgehog cnsor bars :P
23:22 Not sure if it can be branded the “secret island” if it houses quite possibly the largest tower mankind has ever seen 😅
Jon: makes island with a massive structure visible for miles
Also Jon: Secret Island
If I went to a theme park and looked up only to see an HVAC unit dangling from the trees above me I think I would have a breakdown
It adds to the *atmosphere*
Jon makes "Non-Sexual Pirate Adventure" Also Jon: "The guests will get smacked in the face, that's just part of the experience"
smacked in the face with *wood* specifically.
I love how specifying "non-sexual" makes it seem like it is absolutely going to be sexual.

In my head that’s the guy who opened this park.

The most non-ominous title I've seen for a theme park game video.

Builds 20 different shops. Doesn't open any of them.

For what it's worth, the game looks lovely, and so does your design.
Nerdcubed and MATN doing planet coaster at the same time!?!?!! WOOOOOO
Second?

You make custom arch signs jon. you make custom arch signs.
Can't wait for my budget to allow this purchase. Can't wait for you to discover how custom you can get with the decor.
It's currently a buggy mess, I'd wait.

A tiny little roller coaster - and we get the roller coaster from hell. Well done, Jon.

my park name is raising a lot of questions already answered by my park name
Love the park name. I rewatched that series not 6 weeks ago.
Many a True Nerd? Rollercoaster Tycoon 2?! Pirates??! Hell yeah.
I was expecting drink coasters so condensation won't spoil the finish of the table.
I think jon is the first person ive seen play this game who didnt turn instantly his park into some kind of capitalist dystopia/murder park
Shh, don't give him any ideas. This is nice Jon. Evil Jon absolutely would.
@@Toni-lo9ms I know I'm so surprised. I was expecting a Planet Coaster 2 kill everything run.
"It's more difficult to make it, you know, jiggle, because it's heavier, 'cause there's more of it"

We need this as a series. Ive had enough fallout knockoffs and spinoffs.
Give the people captain jon.

Oh my god the title cuts off at non-sexual pirate before you've clicked on it, that's some perfect meta humor!
I watch the RCT2 mini series once every year... time to enjoy this one :V
Does this park have any relation with the non-sexual magic pants?
Captain Jon's Non-Sexual Pirate Adventure World. Then Jon builds a ride called "The Secret Tower".
That pool is pretty sexy for a non-sexual pirate adventure 🤨
I am not surprised a 1000 people went to this park right away. It might have been the first non-viking theme park they've ever seen.
I like the fact that Jon call it non-sexual something and the first thing we see at 4:22 is a pond that look a little bit like a male appendage...
All my homies love asexual pirates (platonically)
"Less people will drown" what is the acceptable limit for that?
Jon obviously hasn't talked to to Dan in a while if he can't tell if Planet Coaster 2 is good.
Non-sexual pirate adventures? What the heck am I getting into?
This is just another Wednesday in Jonopolis
You are getting into non-sexual pirate adventures.
Rated "aaagh" for poor planning, worse puns and a distinct lack of waterborne vehicles.
Cannot wait for the non-sexual pirate live stream!
This may be a theme park builder, but I am still half expecting the sex gazebo.
All things must have a sex gazebo.
Wow the shops never opened xD!
Can it be more insane than Dan's multi-level swimming pool with the bottom half down a hole in a cave? Let's find out...
Reminds me how much time I poured into Planet Zoo. Interested to know how much theming affects popularity

Please tell me you called the observation tower "The Crow's Nest".
Looks awesome!
Planet coaster 2. Kill everything.
I was just thinking about how you haven't uploaded a One Off in a while
It'll be a non-pirate adventure too cos that theming isn't in PC2.

I feel sorry for you Jon. Pirate was a massive theme of Planet Coaster 1. You should have played that one instead if you wanted pirates.
So... no hedgehogs then? Tragic.
Only one lifeguard for that huge water feature?
What’s more piratey than drowning at sea
(5:00) Steamboat pirates?
River pirates among others did extend into the steam era.
I still prefer Parkitect for the more reasonable build experience and the easy mod-ability.
Engagement for the algorithm
Does anyone find it amusing that matn is trying to make a pirate themed park when all the pirate theming was in pc1?
11:56 but Jon! I thought this was a non-sexual pirate adventure?
new series maybe....?
Whos gonna tell him...
❤
Completes series? I love these games and loved the first game. RCT is one of my favorite game series, too!
Pretty, but the lack of body count was disappointing
Day 181 of requesting Jon play Okami HD
Day 304/1230 of requesting Jon play a game nobody will remember, like Majesty: A Fantasy Kingdom Sim.
Hey Jon, what do you think about Matt basically being fired by Dan from need cubed?
