Not saying the south is bad but me being a northern city lover Richmond in my opinion has a northern city vibe in comparison to Southern cities Richmond is in class all by itself similar to DC and Newark and some parts of New York I love Rva its has that big city Northeastern grit without the Northeastern traffic and cost of living love your video ❤️.

We moved to Richmond In the late 90s for spouse's work. We lived on the South side. We learned quickly it wasn't safe. Someone tried to carjack me at a red light at noon, on my way to work. I started a neighborhood watch and someone shot through my kitchen window twice. Another time, 3 young guys stopped by my yard and shot at me 3 times. Lots of drugs and crime, except the West side of Richmond. We moved farther out of the city and there's been people getting shot every week and they said the crime rate went up here too. I remember people were robbed often in Richmond, along the Blvd and in 2 businesses within the area the people were robbed and shot to death. One house on the next street over had 3 young women who were shot, wrapped in plastic bags and lit on fire. One lived but was in critical condition. They spray painted a horrible word in large black spray paint across the front of the house. Very sad.
I grew up in Richmond, and love seeing how things are now. I am looking forward to visiting again.
