LionWhispererTV aim is to raise awareness about The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary’s mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
On this channel, The Lion Whisperer films the majority of his footage using a GoPro camera, allowing viewers to get as close as possible to the lions, leopards and hyenas at the sanctuary.
Kevin Richardson hopes to provide viewers insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and in turn, by watching the videos on the channel, viewers will be directly contributing to the conservation of these majestic animals.

Kev always says he doesn’t think the animals love him but instead love what he does for them however I have to disagree, maybe not all the lions love him for who he is but I think a good majority of them do love him for who he is & not just what he does for them.

All the lions are breathtakingly beautiful but to me BOBCAT is even more special. He's the perfect specimen of a lion. The perfect "dude" cat. To see his reaction to Kevin is beyond beautiful. I can't imagine the hours Kevin and his trusted staff had to dedicate to gain all the animals trusts and to do what he does is mind boggling. Thank you for sharing all that you do.

Great video. I've watched quite a few people who keep big cats etc. and none of them can hold a candle to Kev. From what I can see Kev has the most knowledge and treats the animals with such respect and also takes the time to really explain why something is happening or a behavior of an animal. He obviously really knows these guys and not only loves them but he likes them and it shows in how he interacts with them. So much respect for Kev and for what he's doing!!

Awesome! Because of Kevin Richardson, I began volunteering at a big cat rescue sanctuary. I have loved watching Kevin with his cat friends for years!
Kevin, you are an inspiration for all of us. You care about the animals under your care immensely, and I want to become a wildlife biologist in the future (if my parents allow me to). I am 14 years old, so I guess I will have to wait a while to volunteer in your sanctuary 😢. While classmates in my school look to Elon Musk and Lionel Messi as their heroes, I look to you as my hero!
You can go volunteer for the SPCA and animal rescue right now though ;p I started at the SPCA in middle school then went to feral dog rescue and rehabilitation once I got to college. There is also wild animal rehab but there's few with that licensure...and big cat rescue (where you can volunteer at I think 17). Kevin also takes volunteers though so def go for your dreams we need people like you to help there are far too few. I admire you for wanting to do that, keep learning in the meantime!

Bobcat and Gabby are just the sweetest and what a joy it is to watch their adoration for Kevin. He truly is lucky to have them in his life
The animals in his care are lucky too. They are safe, well fed, excellent veterinary care and generally not bored. The natural "wild" is difficult, dangerous and unforgiving. Not a lot of time for play. Too busy surviving.
So both sides are lucky.
while watching this videos i totally forget that this are WILD ANIMALS and not some pet. Its amazing :)
I always have to remind myself that even though some wild animals are living in captivity, they still have their wild instincts.

That sprint Bob-cat did near the hyenas was great to see. My two domestic cats love teasing the neighbours dogs in the same way, they sit on the roof looking down on the dogs over the fence and they make the dogs bark and then the dogs get told off, it really is hilarious, cat vs dogs seems to be a bit like lions vs hyenas ☺️
My domestic kitties do the same thing at the kitchen window. Cats are cats, big or small. There are those of us who like dogs and other animals, but love cats ❤

I love how vocal Bobcat is. He reminds me of my dog who used to chat with me all the time. She died many years ago now (old age) but the sounds remain with you as I'm sure Bobcat's will with those who know him.

I have my own unique sounds that I do for the sixth feral/stray cats I rescued myself. ( What I mean is I did not get them at a shelter. I personally rescued them) And I have different noises that I make for each one that matches their own individual personality. They all make different noises so I duplicate their unique individual sounds to communicate with each of them on a personal level.
The moment Bobcat started roaring and interacting with I think Naughty and Icarus actually blew my mind it's amazing. I can't get enough of it. I keep watching it over and over again. Such a beautiful and majestic lions. I think Kevin should do videos like that where lions interact with other lions outside of the fences of course. I think it would be beneficial for the lions as well as they can put their instincts of dominance and the beauty of their roar into action. Thank you Kevin for all that you have done so far.

Seeing all the lions as happy and content as they can be in your care, is so heartwarming and seeing them bound around brings me so much joy. I had a cat myself (not as big as yours haha) who passed away earlier this year- and this is a little tribute to him too. Long may your work continue. I hope the lions are able to roam free in safe, protected lands again. 🧡 🦁 🌎

I love tagging along on these walks, these gorgeous animals are amazing to watch. Gabby is so predictable with her “jump on dad routine”, she’s a bit fresh but in a good way.
