Real or Fake Burberry Cashmere Scarf? How to tell if your Burberry scarf is real or counterfeit

- Every year I go on eBay and look for good deals on high and fashion items that are also very commonly counterfeited. Over the years of doing this and also living in China I’ve developed many ways of determining the real deal from the fakes. This year was unfortunately extremely easy to tell the real from the fake but surprisingly a scarf that I was almost certain was counterfeit wound up being authentic. Some ways of telling a vintage Burberry Cashmere scarf from a fake one.
I just received a fake Burberry's scarf! It's soft though, I may use it. Thank you!
How sure are you about the cashmere blue label being exclusive to Japan? Because I have seen a LOT of scarves with it and I doubt this many counterfeits would be that stupid to not put the correct tag color.
I AGREE!!
neat upload Sean Stock. I smashed that thumbs up on your video. Maintain up the great work.
I am looking for my better video with 4 of these, I will upload a link soon.
More than half of this video is about a very specific and rare Burberry scarf, which is not at all typical of a modern Burberry scarf. Consequently, the comparison is pretty useless if you're trying to authenticate a modern scarf.
Buonasera scusi se disturbo ma questa sciarpa con questa etichetta per lei è originale o falsa grazie mille
I have a vintage burberrys. Pink. And burberrys was before it was chaa-ching
I have one personalized berberry scarf which I found in the thrift shop.. It looks exactly like the one on the left but it has the name of a lady on it and not the berberry label. How can I make sure it's real?
My cousin gave me a scarf and I have no clue about it, it looks exactly like the Burberry scarf and feels genuine but there is no Burberry tag on it and a tag that says “pashmina, 100% cashmere” but when I type in pashmina it shows Burberry scarves online
If it doesn't have the tag, its not Burberry.
Thank you for your very informative video. I have the exact scarf on the left and I did purchase it at Osaka 1970 while I was employed by a major Canadian airline. It has the blue "Burberrys" label with the kick stands on the r's and the label is stitched on the left & right side. I am just clearing out my cedar chest and when I was employed by the airline for 25+ years, I collected scarves to go with my beige mohair, cashmere top coat. I also have Christian Dior, Jaegar and Grosse vintage scarves. I do not use E-bay but I am getting ready to market them in Victoria, BC where I live after retirement. Would you be interested? I do note the rarity of my Burberrys and would appreciate your reply with thanks! Keith
Try selling on Etsy, FB Marketplace, or Kijiji. Im sure youll find buyer for your vintage treasures!
Try selling on Grailed as well. Great finds on there.
have you sold them yet? this is super random but I’m looking into buying a scarf and I actually live in Victoria, BC what a coincidence!
@@angel-lw4tw No, It is stored in my cedar chest....I live near Hillside Mall. Thanks, Keith
Burberrys was prior to 1999, methinks! 😮
My Duped Burberry Scarf Looks Exactly Like The Real One. Down To The Same Shade.
I have the same scarf on the left side but it says 50% cashmere ..Made in London..Is that Real or fake?
real
50% Cashmere 50% wool Ive had many
How bout a update on those hydrofarm buckets. How they hold up?
I was totally surprised, I had no time for maintenance and yet got great results. NO ISSUES, no fails.. no issues at all. But the autofill res is a requirement. It's not the cheapest... MAYBE I would do net pots with drip but it's not bad at all. Lower maintenance than any other.
Cashmere fabric is from certain types of goats and their fur turns into ashes when burnt (you can take small piece of clothes) unlike other fabric when burnt has hard plastic like substance left over .Thats how people in old times used to identify unlike brand tag these days
It this scarf was MADE IN JAPAN.....why does the label say MADE IN ENGLAND??????????????????????????
You cannot be serious!!??? Please tell me you are not serious.
@@velocitygirl8551 Well, look at the video!!!!!

Hi, can you legit check my if l will send you a pic of mine?
Hate to say it but your completely wrong about the blue label and seems like you do have 2 fakes here. Japan do sell the brand Burberry blue label but that has nothing to do with the labels on scarfs, it’s to do with the brand. The writing not being capitals, the r’s being wrong, the fact it’s fraying easily at the ends near the tassels, the blue tag and where it’s made are all wrong
no cause it's a vintage piece probably from the 80s or 90s. The letters were lowercase on the logo.
Absolutley - Ive had at least a dozen.
Looking at that i dont think its even cashmere, the cashmere ones have a different texture
