    Here's the video breaking down how the reactor works: • I turn Plastics into F...
    I believe with the world wide crisis we are facing now, we require a world wide solution. And this is why I believe we need decentralized devices such as this Reactor. Think about it, even if there is just 1 reactor in every community, that will put a huge dent in plastic waste and pollution.
    Due to this, I do not wish to make a singular specialized Reactor, once I master and complete this one, I want to make all different types, of all different scales and sizes.

    Chemistry nerd here.
    Get yourself a spark free recovery pump. It will pull a lot deeper vaccuum on your system and you could use it to compress the natural gas into a metal cylinder, and liquify it. After you done that you could measure how much liquefied natural gas you have by weighing it. Also, the reason your reaction speeds up when you turn on the vacuum pump is that you lower the vapor pressure and the liquefied plastic in your machine distillates easier making the "oil" that you're seeking. It will also let you lower the temperature and require less power to you magnetron. Also, the lower the temp of your chamber the less you lose to thermal degradation. Thermal degradation is the reason you're seeing the water in your end product. So the less water you see, the more efficient your machine is running.
    The scientific term is "vapor pressure curve". When you take the next step and start distilling your product, you'll need to understand this concept.
    So if you want to determine your watt usage simply multiply your amps by the voltage your using. Then use that to calculate you kwh by dividing by a 1000. So 60A x 220V = 13,200 watts so your machine is using 13.2kwh

      Is his machine using only 13.2 kwh?
      I have another question for you,, how much plastic would you need by weight to create one liter of gasoline/diesel and gas as byproduct

    • @inb4366
      @inb4366 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @viktor-reznov I'm not sure exactly how many kwh his machine is pulling. He said something about his breakers keep flipping and breakers tend to flip if 75% of their peak load is continuously running. Example. A 40amp breaker can handle 40 amps for about thirty seconds, but only 30amps if it was to run all day.
      As for the amount of product to plastic ratio. Not a clue.

      @@viktor-reznovdepends on the reaction temperature and feed type. Using more polystyrene can result in ~60-80% liquid product but LDPE or polypropylene would be significantly lower ~up to 20-30%. The liquid should also probably be hydrotreated and distilled to get the right cut

      The only problem with pyrolysis process is that it takes high temperatures. The Gasses that are a byproduct need a way to be filtered, stabilized, and stored. The oil needs refined to a constant. And a study on the wear of different materials would also be helpful. Like what happens to to the metal inside an engine. He is wrestling a few problems. Pollution, filtration and byproducts. If he ever cracks the code; he will either be hunted by the industry thugs or a very wealthy man. Dangerous minds.

    This technology only applicable if your using renewable energy to process the plastic. The fuel from the plastic will act as a storage medium for the renewable energy. And since gas and oil infrastructure so well developed, there will be no issue in storing, transporting and using the fuel.

      Exactly what I was thinking but there are ways around it. Having nuclear power plants on the coast to do 3 diffrent jobs. 1. Of course Electricity production. 2. Use the extra heat for desalination purposes 3. Use some of the energy produced to convert plastic to oil. Same idea could be applied to Hydroelectric

      You don't have to add anything to it just distill or centerfuge to separate the different volatile compounds. Only thing he adds is carbon as something for the microwaves to interact with and heat and you get more carbon then you put in out. It's definitely turning plastic into oil, it's just also never gonna be energy efficient in this form.

    You would think that if this was actually profitable and viable, oil refineries would have been doing this already to make profit. Obviously way more energy is used in the refinement process than is gained in product. So therefore your machine is actually causing more pollution rather than eliminating it. Sorry to break it to you. If you were running the machine off solar or some other form of clean energy, things would be slightly different, but still nowhere near the game changer you are implying.
