    Here's the video breaking down how the reactor works: • I turn Plastics into F...
    I believe with the world wide crisis we are facing now, we require a world wide solution. And this is why I believe we need decentralized devices such as this Reactor. Think about it, even if there is just 1 reactor in every community, that will put a huge dent in plastic waste and pollution.
    Due to this, I do not wish to make a singular specialized Reactor, once I master and complete this one, I want to make all different types, of all different scales and sizes.

    Nice job, I have a 13kw dual fuel gen-set as well. For better results without blowing breakers would be a 50amp power cord, 30 amp cord could work too, running off ur 120 plugs will blow your gfci plugs and breakers.

    I don't want to try and tell you your business. I love what you are doing here. But what if the magnatrons were configured opposing each other in a four way configuration. So not as long as what you have here but instead taking the magatrons and putting them facing each other. Like north south east west. You might have to offset them a bit so they don't shine right into themselves but the idea is to amplify the microwaves with interference. You might get more bang for your magnatron instead of the linear configuration you have. Although you might have a good reason for that linear configuration that I don't know. This might be a horrible and dangerous idea. I am just also really interested in the applications of wave interference and how it can be used for amplitude magnification. Maybe use a four way configuration and some kind of reflection to keep them for shining into the other emitter. Sorry if this is arrogant. I just had this notion.

      The problem with that is that it will be difficult to do the alignment and the synchronisation of the waves. Any small misalignment or phase shift and it will nullify the power. So unless he has good equipment it will just be easier to do it this way

    Good job. Keep it up. How we learn. Prop up a sheet of plywood between you and the generator. It'll knock the sound in half. Wood gas burners are built upright, and there is no auger. It has a shaker plate for the carbon less moving parts. I like the design, but I bet it could be simplified. Are your magnatrons 120 or 240 volts?

    A few ideas:
    1: add heating elements to fully heat the chamber. By heat I mean bring the chamber temp to around 150°c. The microwaves heat up around areas with carbon deposits but that heat energy may not be enough to move low to medium boiling point organics out like hexanes and other fuel components. Those may be getting overheated and cracked into gasses which means more power for the generator but a lower material output. At this volume you might be essentially just creating gas to fuel the generator to heat more material in a closed loop system without much product.
    2: you should incorporate sealable entry and exit ports that allow for adding new material and removing excess carbon. Something like and airlock would work, so essentially a chamber attached to a vacuum that you can load or unload, seal, degass, and then add material or remove material. That way you don’t have to stop to remove carbon.
    3: I can help you design a fire suppression system but I highly recommend one and some larger fire extinguishers since you are dealing with significant quantities of flammable gasses and liquids.
    4: wear PPE! Those gasses are toxic and you need to wear some FR apparel like a jumpsuit or at least a lab coat. Look for Nomex clothing because you are in a high risk area. Nomex will also offer more protection in the case of a flash fire that could happen from spilled fuel.
    I am currently a chemistry student in university and run the plastics lab at my school in the US so I’d love to contact you.

    You need way more power from a cleaner source. If you would to look at the electric coming out of a 110v generator with an oscilloscope you would see what I mean. In electronics that will destroy the equipment eventually, I don't know what the effects on a magnetron would be, can't be good. when you get your 220-240v it will work much better

    • @lonwof2105
      @lonwof2105 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      This is a really good point. Can he clean up the power with some kind of intermediary device in the meantime? some kind of inverter?

    • @GrantFrankBurton
      @GrantFrankBurton 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@lonwof2105 I thought that too. He's got a lot of stuff going on there. 8 power supply's, 8 capacitors, 8 magnetron., I wonder if they are all the same specs? There's a bunch of things it could be but, I think if you have an over abundance of power it won't matter to see if the thing works. then later optimize it or something like that.

    • @GrantFrankBurton
      @GrantFrankBurton 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@lonwof2105 So if the microwave needs 1000v to work, it only works once the capacitors is full. If he could figure the time of the cycle, and make sure not to many units were working at the same time, then I think it would work with a lower power source. Just a thought....
