  • The weather was finally warm enough to get out and explore comfortably. Found some really nice agates with Ivy the food addict and my old man.

Cool agates, jasper and crystals!Looks like you found some other rockhounds discard pile at the end. Must not be that secret of a spot 😉

Well good for me they didn’t know what they had lol. The best ones of the day were in that pile I lucked out. One day I’ll find them and shake their hand

@mudbrothersrock I've found quite a few nice pieces in other people's discard piles too. Yeah some people are so picky that they throw away nice material! Score!

I always wonder if someone has gone through what I’ve left. Crazy how subjective everything is

I got super lucky with that. I didn’t start hounding until a year ago and when I realized how much good stuff was around me I freaked out

You’ve got that right, pretty hard to find solitude these days

Ok thanks. I live near ogden up north. I'm just barely getting into rockhounding. I'm so excited but I don't know where to go. Besides geodesic and wonder stone.

@tracygregor982 topaz mountain and dugway are good places to start. I’m up in salt lake working and haven’t found anything in the valley so I’m at a loss for up here. It’s cool you’re getting into it! It’s a fun hobby I’ve had a great time with it. Let me know if you have any questions about it and I’ll try to fill ya in
