On values: Years ago at a show I overheard one collector tell his friend: "I finally broke down and bought a chained SS dagger from Wittmann. I'll never get my money back, but I've always wanted one." The friend asked "What did you pay?". The response: "$1,500". I think that he'll get his money back, don't you, Tom?
Wow, those are some beautiful examples. The SS With tag, the Röhm and final dagger (though a little fancy for my taste, was a pleasure to see). Damascus, gold plate, filigree and the grain on that handle is fantastic. Thank you for sharing the view from your work bench and your insights.
You are everything but Not senile! I enjoy every single one of your videos and you know more about this hobby than any other person. Thank you for the videos and keep up the great work!
Yes Mr. Wittmann here we are again, another great video. It has been a wonderful year following these video's and looking forward to what next year brings. Thank you
Before I watch the rest of this video I just want to say I watched your video with Alex and your great tour of your collectors room and I thought your collection and the way you have it displayed is just magnificent even with the Russian there . Not losing a mental step I can see. So now back to your unboxing video
Mr. Wittmann, I truly enjoy your unboxing videos. This one was amazing to my unschooled eyes. I think anyone could see your excitement. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. ...and remember that 80 is a milestone accomplishment, but only a number. May you acquire many more years.
Tha Wittmann is hitting the ball out of the park again, a classic, and do not worry, we, the viewers know you are 100% OK, like good wine gets better with age!!! So for to wish you GREt end of 2022 and an even better2023 ! Stay healthy and enjoy life !
You got to love Tom’s facial expression when he opens that tagged SS dagger. (Even Ov can’t hold back his excitement!). I thought for sure he’d need a drink, especially after just pulling that incredible Uboat Pennant! What a way to end 2022. Thank You Mr. Whitman!
Hi Mr Wittmann I was just watching a documentary by Mark Felton on youtube. It was about the grave robbers who dug up Heydrichs grave in 2019. In it he said that Heydrich was buried with all his awards and the Himmler SS honor swords came about and only 12 were issued. In the documentary it was said that the robbers was likely to have become very rich. Do you think you could do a video about this very interesting subject and the values of such items and who were the swords issued to ,makers and the usual Wittman charm. Happy New Year from rainy London UK.
I still haven’t bought my first piece(:(), but I can say there is nothing I look forward to more on TH-cam than when your videos come out each week. As I said, I don’t own a single piece(yet, that is…a new house and two boys under 3 will do that..) but Mr. Wittmann I can tell you I’ve seen every single video on this channel and you(and Alex to some degree as well) has single handedly gotten me fascinated with the hobby. Happy New year Tom and Ob! Here’s to a great 2023.
Happy new year Tom. Thank you for giving us these wonderful videos. Please don’t ever change them. I love the informality and openings, it makes you feel like we are right there with you. I’ll keep watching you til episode DTC 10,000. And screw any asswipes who don’t like the videos. We love ya Tom👍 PS: there is a certain acid available that you can put on that ring, or any object that’s been grinded out. It detects the slightest depression and colorizes the area. Good luck
Thomas You are not a senile at all! Thanks to your hobby, you will be forever young. Happy New Year! I wish you health and new wonderful things in your collection!!!
Absolutely Love your videos Tom…and the Stories…keep up the Great work mate…Pauly at Wilderness Coast on Fly in Australia ..and a Happy New Year to you all🤓👍🇦🇺

@@darrinrentruc6614 I’ve never seen a Uboat pennant like that.I guess that’s what makes it so exciting to see. If it is real, the skies the limit on its value!

Wittmann, you're not senile. Whoever said that is a fool. A senile person wouldn't be able to run a successful militaria business, and start another successful unboxing video show. The best in the world I might add.
Wow what a great video to end the year. I guess Roger got what was coming. Appreciate all the videos gents🥃Look forward to the next one. Don’t pay attention to the trolls, your knowledge you share with all is priceless.

That honor ring may be one of the so-called "Dolp" fake rings. I've had a few of those that had the names removed. They look good otherwise with the exception of never having any detail on the teeth which a real one would have. Yours has no detail and looks just like a Dolp ring. I would try to verify the Boyle letter at the very least.
If you get senile, I'll be sure to let you know, who ever you are. 🤔😁 Speaking of 'ringers', do you remember shooting pool at the bowling ally and that "old guy" that used to hustle us? He even had his own cue. 🥲 Have a healthy and prosperous 2023.
I have spoke to you many times in person and you are still quick-wit and sharp. Ignore the haters!
You sir are not senile at all. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring us younger (60 years old) collectors. God bless and happy New Year!
We should all be thankful Mr. Whitman does these videos.
You are as sharp as a tack. Crack on for many more informative years. Enjoy 2023!
With this video, guys closed this year series with a gold medal. Amazing pieces... and two beauties in the end. Happy new year to all.
Tom, never worry about wasting time. Every second is fascinating and entertaining and all the items are eye candy.
