Hello, I'm very curious of what's the benefit of disolving sugar in mineral water instead of using simple syrup? I have always seen the Old Fashion prepared like this, but syrup woudl make it more practical, I think I'm missing something, can you please help me?
There's no benefit, they're the same thing really. It's more of a ritual, although a quite dumb one, since you waste half of the angostura (and time) this way...
Try putting dirty orange fragrance on the glass bottle on the outside, it makes the customers very surprised and they love it as a representation of the original old fashioned...

Cuando lo haces rápido conserva más la temperatura, mientras más componentes estén a baja temperatura más fácil es que el cóctel llegue a la temperatura ideal sin la necesidad de transferirle la temperatura del hielo y por lo tanto aguandolo. También importa la superficie de los hielos para una mejor transferencia de temperatura sin aguarlo.
Semplicemente ad aumentare il volume all'interno del mixing glass (bicchiere di miscelazione). In realtà per miscelare il drink va benissimo il ghiaccio in cubetti piccoli: si ottiene lo stesso drink, alla stessa temperatura, con la stessa diluizione di acqua ma in minor tempo. Il cubo di ghiaccio più grosso invece va benissimo nel bicchiere di servizio
il mio cocktail preferito EVER, oltretutto preparato magistralmente.
