Another detail not many people pay that much attention to is the shotgun intro/loading screen. People tend to think that they're being shot by the shotgun when in reality, they're the one shooting because you can see the primers of the shells which are on the backside.

Depending on where Tahiti is that boat probably wouldn’t be enough. The Boat that went by Guarma had sunk and if I recall correctly it was a bigger ship than that boat.
I was sad that I couldn’t save Levi’s hat from Guarma. There’s a few hats I wish we could save. Like Nigel’s boater hat and a few other unique hats around the world of RDR2. Also do not stop at the van horn mansion if you are just getting back from Guarma if you’re trying to enjoy the music and the emotional ride back to shady bell as it will stop that from playing out.
There are some boater hats that are saveable. It's weird because they look the same but some can and some cannot be saved. There's also a black one that can be saved.
***Spoilers*** Not sure if you mentioned it before but speaking of symbolism, I just noticed that during American Venom in the epilogue, when approaching the cabin at the top of Mount Hagen, a rat scurrys by right before everyone's least favorite character appears. Very much like in Martin Scorsese's The Departed.

Yes, since Micah joined the gang, everything just went downhill, but I guess Dutch had to see through Micah's actions. Some of them were just straight down wrong and others actively tried to rip appart the Van Der Linde Gang. Micah always was an asshole, but Dutch changed or he just became more the person he actually was ;) It's just that, that Dutch desponded Arthur and John (and basically the rest of the gang), while turning his head towards Micah. After Hosea's death, Dutch chose Micah as his left hand, replacing Hosea, which finally brought the whole Van Der Linde Gang to a fall.

The only Thing that annoyed me in red dead redemption 2 was the fact that you cant remove the scope from the sniper rifles(i mean it literally has a working iron sight ) thank you so much to show this it make so much more fun to use the carcano rifle for close combat and the bolt Action rifle for hunting i wish rockstar will add this "exploit" as a customization feature in the gunsmith
You can also loot Fussar, and Ms Grimshaw. Though looting Ms. Grimshaw will give you bad honor and will most likely lead to you dying. And Fussar is tricky to loot as you have to kill him with a regular gun and then push his body slowly off the tower using the cannon.

- if you say hi to someone behind you while walking forward arthur trips over steps/rocks/ect...😅 -actually pulls the wild carrots out of ground and breaks them off putting them in satchel leaving leaves on ground -the "dust" in closed rooms from shooting is mostly gunsmoke(1800's guns produced a bit more smoke) -you can herd/scare fish out of the water and just pick them up(always 3 star) -your main horse gets jealous if patting another horse too much -hat/clothes get worn out over time -can shoot your gun in the air next to someone's horse to scare their horse off then walk over and hop on it without losing honor(good for high honor play thru) -Deer calvary hat from trapper is also almost identical to Levi's hat if you like the look (I personally have worn the red big valley hat from st.denis clothing store with the red velvet shotgun coat and shotgun chaps almost entire play-thru...best looking outfit by far imo especially with red n black vest/bowtie combo...looks pretty sweet with a level 10 pennant mustache you can see from behind😅)

The dust is coming from the impacts. If they really used old school black powder in game than the gun fights outside would show it. most of the shoot outs would be in blinding clouds of smoke if that was rockstar's intention. There were many available brands of ammo in 1899 that were smokeless it was just hard to find loose smokeless powder for reloading old cartridges. I appreciate your attention to detail but I don't think it would have made the game very fun if every time you fired 6 rounds you were in a cloud of smoke and couldn't see the enemy. making that a game mechanic would have been awesome. IF you bought cheap ammo it would generate a cloud of smoke where as buying expensive smokeless ammo wouldn't

Go into that same room, or any room in which you can shoot out of a doorway or window, and fire off a couple dozen rounds out of said door or window. You'll get the exact same smoke cloud, no impacts required.

2:12 try to do this while you have the Charles Chatenay stranger mission that takes place here ready and waiting to happen. Game glitched for me and Charles was floating in the air inside lol
One of the most satisfying parts in the game is when Arthur throws Strauss out of the camp. I've had online battles with "Is Strauss a good guy, or a bad guy." The "good guy" camp seems to think he's only supporting those he's close to, but if you're a loan shark to people who are desperate, that AUTOMATICALLY places you into the "bad camp" I see that with Strauss. If I were to loan someone money to pay for their mother's cancer treatment, and that loan had a 9999% interest rate, I'd consider myself a shitty person. REALLY no different than those that lend money at 1000% interest because they're operating out of a Native reservation. Nobody needs 100x the amount they lent to be paid back without it being a scam. It's predatory, straight up. There's a REASON they have to go through the reservations to charge that kind of interest. It's because in the US, predatory lending is seen as different if it were coming from a bank from Montana as opposed to a sovereign nation like you'd find in Oklahoma, which is where many of these companies are found. The API is LITERALLY in the triple digits, and there is just no way to justify that outside of "I'm taking money from people who can't afford it." The line "those who aren't destitute don't seem so interested in my propositions" REALLY sells that point. Strauss is a piece of shit, and Arthur recognizes this.
There's one strange thing that I found and I don't know if you have covered it or not. In the epilog as John, after you meet Rains Fall at the train station in Annesburg, and he leaves on the train, go around to the front of the train station. There's a horse tied up out front that I'm assuming was Rains Fall's. If you interact with the horse, Rains Fall will come back and get on the horse! I didn't follow him though.

When you find where Dutch and Micah are hiding out in the epilogue you can see a rat running near the campfire. This symbolizes Micah being a rat and giving up the gangs positions.
I did this in every playtruh. Remove the scope of the rolling block rifle and one shot every thing. And later you can collect the rare rolling block rifle so you have one with and without a scope. And later you can oneshot everyone with the carcanp if the rifle is clean
That last place you showed is also a money glitch if you kill the guys and take the money and save the game then reload it you can go back and they will respawn along with the money

The smell of black powder in the air is wonderful man. I’ve shot my 1851 navy pietta copy 500/600+ rounds through it and I haven’t even gotten a chance to use actual black powder that’s just been hodgdon 777 and pyrodex 3f powder and it’s great

(Easily angered, but also wants to just live in peace) Leopold Strauss: vulture (Gives loans to others who really need it because he knows they can't pay it off and them or someone else will be hurt in the process. Gains benefit from others pain, like vultures.) Charles Smith: Bison, Hawk, Eagle (Brave, and also tries to protect Bison, they also used Bison as their number one tool) Micah Bell III: Rat (do i need to explain?) Dutch Van Der Linde: Snake (charismatic liars) Pearson: most birds (has food to give to its children, going out of its way each dau to get food for them. In this case the birds children are Pearson's friends, aka the gang.) Hosea: Bear (strong, smart, and also brave) Any suggestions or more, comment.
Okay it’s kinda iffy but when in first person LIGHTLY press down aim and it will aim the sniper in outer ain not utilizing the scope but like I said it’s a lil weird sometimes like it won’t shoot sometimes and will just ain scope till you stop holding fire
@@Princess_Celestia_ Well, for one, "smokeless" powder isn't truly smokeless. Go to a poorly-ventilated range at busy time, you'll see plenty of smoke. Now factor in that the smokeless powder of 120 years ago was crude and dirty by today's standards, and it's safe to conclude that firing a gun indoors will still result in a gun smoke cloud. Beyond that, it's incredibly unlikely that poor outlaws had gotten their hands on smokeless powder guns by 1899. Smokeless powder had only just started to proliferate around the world, so it was expensive everywhere and hard to come by in the American west. And no, you can't just start using smokeless powder cartridges in your black powder gun - you'll most likely ruin it.

If they really used old school black powder in game than the gun fights outside would show it. most of the shoot outs would be in blinding clouds of smoke if that was rockstar's intention. There were many available brands of ammo in 1899 that were smokeless it was just hard to find loose smokeless powder for reloading old cartridges. I appreciate your attention to detail but I don't think it would have made the game very fun if every time you fired 6 rounds you were in a cloud of smoke and couldn't see the enemy. making that a game mechanic would have been awesome. IF you bought cheap ammo it would generate a cloud of smoke where as buying expensive smokeless ammo wouldn't
@@VegetaLF7The dust you see coming from the impacts isn't the same cloud that you see appear further into the clip. Go into that same room, or any room in which you can shoot out of a doorway or window, and fire off a couple dozen rounds out of said door or window. You'll get the exact same smoke cloud, no impacts required.
True, however black powder is not used in cartridge ammo, and was used typically in “bore-loaded” firearms. (Both revolvers and rifles/shotguns)
@@usmc4good Black powder absolutely was used in cartridges. There was a period where cartridges had been widely adopted, but smokeless powder wasn't widely available. Google "black powder cartridges".

One of the most satisfying parts in the game is when Arthur throws Strauss out of the camp. I've had online battles with "Is Strauss a good guy, or a bad guy." The "good guy" camp seems to think he's only supporting those he's close to, but if you're a loan shark to people who are desperate, that AUTOMATICALLY places you into the "bad camp" I see that with Strauss. If I were to loan someone money to pay for their mother's cancer treatment, and that loan had a 9999% interest rate, I'd consider myself a shitty person. REALLY no different than those that lend money at 1000% interest because they're operating out of a Native reservation. Nobody needs 100x the amount they lent to be paid back without it being a scam. It's predatory, straight up. There's a REASON they have to go through the reservations to charge that kind of interest. It's because in the US, predatory lending is seen as different if it were coming from a bank from Montana as opposed to a sovereign nation like you'd find in Oklahoma, which is where many of these companies are found. The API is LITERALLY in the triple digits, and there is just no way to justify that outside of "I'm taking money from people who can't afford it." The line "those who aren't destitute don't seem so interested in my propositions" REALLY sells that point. Strauss is a piece of shit, and Arthur recognizes this.

There's one strange thing that I found and I don't know if you have covered it or not. In the epilog as John, after you meet Rains Fall at the train station in Annesburg, and he leaves on the train, go around to the front of the train station. There's a horse tied up out front that I'm assuming was Rains Fall's. If you interact with the horse, Rains Fall will come back and get on the horse! I didn't follow him though.

When you find where Dutch and Micah are hiding out in the epilogue you can see a rat running near the campfire. This symbolizes Micah being a rat and giving up the gangs positions.
I did this in every playtruh. Remove the scope of the rolling block rifle and one shot every thing. And later you can collect the rare rolling block rifle so you have one with and without a scope. And later you can oneshot everyone with the carcanp if the rifle is clean
That last place you showed is also a money glitch if you kill the guys and take the money and save the game then reload it you can go back and they will respawn along with the money
Just used this one again today, besides Fort Mercer this is the best one only problem is all the loading

I’ve shot my 1851 navy pietta copy 500/600+ rounds through it and I haven’t even gotten a chance to use actual black powder that’s just been hodgdon 777 and pyrodex 3f powder and it’s great

Okay it’s kinda iffy but when in first person LIGHTLY press down aim and it will aim the sniper in outer ain not utilizing the scope but like I said it’s a lil weird sometimes like it won’t shoot sometimes and will just ain scope till you stop holding fire

@@Princess_Celestia_ Well, for one, "smokeless" powder isn't truly smokeless. Go to a poorly-ventilated range at busy time, you'll see plenty of smoke. Now factor in that the smokeless powder of 120 years ago was crude and dirty by today's standards, and it's safe to conclude that firing a gun indoors will still result in a gun smoke cloud.
Beyond that, it's incredibly unlikely that poor outlaws had gotten their hands on smokeless powder guns by 1899. Smokeless powder had only just started to proliferate around the world, so it was expensive everywhere and hard to come by in the American west. And no, you can't just start using smokeless powder cartridges in your black powder gun - you'll most likely ruin it.
I did the remove scopes thing on a shotgun (I think semi auto) and now its just a gun part not even a gun
