I’m on the warrior path right now, being in the army. But non-military can also certainly take this path… MMA, wrestling, boxing, etc. Also, yoga and other more Vedic styles of paganism extend far back into our history. This is definitely a real path. I could elaborate more. Good video. 👍🏻

Well man up and let's talk about how the universe runs. Can't? Then shut it." Honestly... Job is one of the worst books of the Bible for a lot of reasons. Yes, it depicts endurance in hard times but honestly when your "creator" acts like that it makes one wonder if that Creator is worth the serving that he claims to be worthy of.

As a devotee of Odin (and sometimes Thor, Bragi, and Njord) I am on the Skald path. I am writing poetry and even a fantasy novel. I would also like to propose another path. The Naturalist path. Someone who has a connection with nature in the form of hiking, botany/farming/house plants (of which I have 2), fishkeeping (my preferred way + underwater plants), fishing, hunting, camping, and survival skills, and other nature-based skills or hobbies.
As someone who has recently started spending a lot of time setting up and now growing my families (and my neighbours family) fruits and vegetables I think a farming path is my calling. The time I spend outside tending to my garden makes me feel so connected to nature and is where my shrine is going to be relocated to. I feel so very drawn to providing food for not just my family but my community. I feel very drawn to Freyr obviously heh
Yoga I believe is not just physical exercise but designed to help you sense and control the flow of the body's energy as well! The concept of energy work, ki, chi or prana is pretty widespread like shamanism

Most paganisms and all Indo-European paganisms had their own term and idea of “prana, chi, orgone, vrill etc.” Hatha Yoga was created because many Yogis were very out of shape from meditating all day long and one yogi created this form of yoga to keep a yogi in shape and loose so the prana could flow throughout the body without hitting blockages.
This was definitely a good video for me to watch since I am new to this and I'm glad to know that making things is a legitimate path that I can take for my spiritual journey and that others can use to help them too

Yoga is 100% Hindu in origin. It is deeply tied to their spiritual/religious beliefs. It can definitely be used in other practices, including Norse Paganism, or in an entirely non-religious way, but please give credit where credit is due.
Vedic in origin. Vedic religion and Germanic paganism are similar because they come form the same roots. Using Vedic beliefs to reconstruct Germanic beliefs and syncretizing them is a completely valid practice and is very pagan.

I’ve just recently found my way into this faith and I’m not entirely sure what’s my pathway, my patron god is definitely Odin but I can’t decide if I’m either a crafter or a poet

As for the lack of information regarding some of these paths, you should practice meditation daily so you can have an easier time connecting with the gods. The gods can help guide you on your chosen path if your mind is open to them.

I don't think you have to be a soldier to follow a warrior type path. There were very few professional soldiers in the bronze age and early middle ages where a lot of the development in Indo-European religions took place. Every man past a certain age would be expected to be able to be a warrior or defend home and family if the time came. Every man should have the strength and ability to use violence for positive reasons. This includes strength training, conditioning, some basic martial arts or self defense techniques, some familiarization with melee weapons be they improvised or not (ie sticks,knives, etc.), and firearms training (if legal). Practice and training will help develop muscle memory and hopefully train the mind as well so as to not freeze and stumble when the training is needed most. This obviously is not quite the same as a solider where that is your only job so the warrior mindset and path will likely not be your only means of connecting with the faith but it can and should be incorporated into almost any man's lifestyle.

I agree with most of your points above; however while there were no "professional soldiers" in the Bronze and early Iron Age the way we think of them today, archeologists theorize there were elite groups of proto-Indo-European male warriors whose role was *solely* martial ("kóryos" or "Männerbund") and were not farmers first and warriors only at need. The men of Sparta is a later example of "professional" warriors, as is Beowulf much later than that.
The reason seidr was considered “ergi” for a man to practice it is because of the sexualized rites it sometimes involved. Think about why a witch is associated with a broom; it was her way of administering the drugs used to go into that ego-destroying trance. Back in those days people didn’t have needles and IV’s to administer their drugs - but what they did have was a broom and/or alabastron (a dildo for lack of a better word) to administer the drugs vaginally or anally, hence why Loki called Odin “ergi” for practicing seidr
I've been learning all I can about Norse Paganism for a few years now but only recently had an experience to where I fully believe Odin is starting to guide me. I'm fully on the path now but I hope I can do right by the gods. One question that I have for you and hope you read this is I recently purchased my Mjolnir because I have nobody that follows the gods like I do to actually receive it as a gift. Should I remove it so I don't feel like I'm offending any of the gods? I'm conflicted and it's just hanging on my door for the time being. I just want to do right, that's all. IMO you definitely should not remove Mjolnir just because it wasn't given to you by someone else. I believe the High One (or Thor, since that is His sign) guided you to it for a reason and you should trust in that. In addition, any god that gets "offended" by you displaying one of their symbols as an object of *respect* and *veneration* isn't worthy of your devotion. Just sayin'. 😉

As for matron/patron deity, I can't do that because, as I've told you, Loki has been there for a while now and I laugh at some of the stuff he's done for/with me but committing to him is probably too much.
Same here. My Patron is Loki, too, but I also try to work with Odin and Thor. I too, have had to laugh (along with being amazed) at some of the things that Loki has done to show me that he is there and/or that he appreciated his offerings.

Great video and informative, but my problem comes with choosing a path. I'm just utterly lost when it comes to my spirituality. I know I'm pagan, and I have an interest in Norse paganism, but that's it. I just don't know where my focus belongs.
This is/was me. My paganism goes back many years, but I had no idea what it was back then 😂 I just loved being in nature, collecting things like rocks/crystals/feathers, foraging, tuning in to the different elements and seasons, and learning about my ancestors. I didn’t even realise there was a ‘label’ for it until my adult years! I only really found Norse paganism in the last few years and still don’t know where I sit with it all. The only thing I know is that I’m drawn to it more than any other faith. My advice to people like you and I would be to just let the path guide you instead of trying to tie everything down and put definite labels on things. Have fun learning about the things you’re interested in, even if you don’t feel like you’d incorporate them in to your every day practises. Knowledge is power, and the more you learn, the more you’ll come to know yourself. But you will never stop learning for as long as you’re alive, so just take it day by day and research as much as you can! Everything else will slowly fall into place 😊

What would your thoughts on being a composer or a musician. I personally follow Bragi more so than my others just because music and art is so prominent in my life. I know it can mostly fit into the category of skald but to be honest I'm not much of a poet at this point in my life. I'd love to hear your opinion on this

I ask this out of curiosity and not out of animosity or from a religious basis?
I think you are not considering the counter factual. Ancient and medieval Christianity was full of conquest and enslavement as well, that doesn’t stop versions of Christianity from existing in the modern world without that. Maybe if old school paganism hadn’t been wiped out, it would have similarly evolved in line with modern ethics.

Scholars theorize yoga originated during the Vedic period, prior to the emergence of Hinduism. They were the descendants of proto-Indo-Europeans, as were the Proto-Germanic peoples.
