I just love the way you explain about the airguns, you really have a great way of explaining about any airgun, and this model is really a beautiful weather airgun, super and like you said about the air arms pro sport a fantastic airgun cheers mate 👍
Apparently the more recent ones have plastic triggers again . Suppose it depends on what stock they have ready to ship . The U.S. rifles give higher muzzle velocity in the region of 16 foot pounds or so . Great rifle though im getting better with it all the time so much more involving to shoot than pcps .
And now Walther doesn't make them anymore. I feel lucky to have gotten one while I could- just barely in the nick of time. People who have them now generally don't let go of them. I won't.
I had a 177 Walther lgv challenger (synthetic stock). It was a very smooth cocking rifle and silent to shoot with a HW moderator on, but it seemed like it was built to a cheap budget and wasn't comparable to HW & air arms Springer's and the trigger was nowhere near as good as the rekord & CD trigger unit's.
I've read and heard that UK lgv come wth metal triggers it's the US models they are fitted with plastic triggers for safety legislation, maybe you've been given a US model maybe?
The router marks around the Master Pro rear sight area in the stock are not mentioned lads, if you choose this rifle without open sights your stock will come with ugly grooves to accommodate them, regardless.( cheapness) The trigger is utter crap, the adjustable butt pad is cheap and poor, the external finish is bland and very cheap.The internals mind are absolutely second to none.Top class gun if all the cheap corners were not being cut. A walnut Pro Sport/ TX MK3 is miles ahead of the Walthers in outer finish, internally no they are not.
Mine has none of what you talk about and as for the finish it pisses all over the finish on my 97k.if it wasn’t for the trigger I would say the lgv was better.i must admit though the balance of the 97 is something else compared to the lgv
I have walther lgu and its best springer out of the box ive ever had and im an old fart now... Trigger aint the best but rest as you say is on par with pc at certain distance,

Build quality on the master pro is superb, but the trigger is ,as you say not on a par with the HW record trigger unit .
