    Many people who are just getting started as beginners in the stock market and trading usually consider whether they should learn how to trade penny stocks. Usually because of small accounts and not having lots of money to use, people believe that penny stocks (due to their low price) is the only option they have. While it would be misleading of me to say that penny stocks should never be traded, I do believe that you should at least learn about another area of the market before beginning to to start trading penny stocks. This other area of the market not only allows for lower amounts of money to be used, but even better, there is no pattern day trader rule (PDT). So if you are someone who wants to be a day trader and trade as often as you like during the day, this area of the market would fit you perfectly. Take some time to learn about this available strategy and fool in the market and see if it makes more sense compared to trading penny stocks.

Can you be be more specific about your private mentoring, as to who , what , when and where. This is the piece of education I am most interested in. Anyone can produce videos and sell and program, but not many actually put themselves out there to actually help their students seceded in their course material.

    Thing's I've learned since starting to day trade....PDT rule only applies to MARGIN accounts., NOT cash accounts. As long as the funds are settled in your account, you can trade with them. I've been doing it like this with E*Trade for the last 6 months. I've made over 40 trades in the last week this way, and have been doing about the same volume, week after week. Maybe some of theses videos that talk about the PDT rule, should tell the people who are new to trading, the correct info. I like your videos, Clay, but you're leaving out some important points when it comes to PDT.

    • @claytrader
      @claytrader  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bryan, and what you are not factoring in is, even in a cash account, you have to wait for the cash to settle... which is a 2 day process... so yeah, that would present a problem to "trading as much as you want".

    • @jaysequeiraoficial3163
      @jaysequeiraoficial3163 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it applies to cash accounts as well bro i always get a warning after a couple trades in the day, because when you sell your stock "you dont get your money right away" until 1 or 2 days later so basicly they dont want to be responsible for money that hasnt even cleared

    • @Justinl12086
      @Justinl12086 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      PDT does not apply to cash accounts. You may get a warning, but your account will not and cannot be shut down. PDT only applies to margin accounts. Call TD Ameritrade customer service and ask about it if you want a professional answer to your concern.

    • @claytrader
      @claytrader  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      But what Jay is talking about is you need to let the cash "settle" before you can use it again. So yeah, it's not the PDT rule, but it's the "cash settlement" rules that still present a problem.

People that trade penny stocks (I spend all day with them) trade a variety of price ranges, and everyone has a different definition of this. What price range are you talking about? I know millionaire traders that mostly short penny stocks. What you are saying is true, but it's over blown, and I think that defining your term would clear a lot of this up.
