  • If you are a beginner to the stock market and trading online to make money, one of the most important concepts you need to be focused on and understand is "risk". Through my years in the stock market and helping teach people, there is a common misunderstanding about risk that many beginner traders have. In their defense, from a mathematics point of view, it makes total sense; however, if you want to have success trading stocks, you need to get out of the textbooks and step into reality. All successful traders have a well rounded understanding of all aspects of the market and that includes the varying aspects of risk when it comes to trading. If you want to make money online trading stocks, starting with a proper understanding is a great place to begin.

I can't believe you DID NOT laugh before you said " that's silly" FB 2min 50$ to 0 . because that was hilarious... I think that it is harder to trade pennny stocks but most of us start there because of funds issues. Frankly at some I nearly quick this channel because I was like " Clay only trade for rich ppl" the reality is(although you can make money in all stocks) when you are in this corona dry period large cap are still more stable to trade. Plus more me the money you aim to make is the amount you should be "OK" to loose.. trading is a risk . we all know " if you can take the heat (hit (lol))....". thanks for the vids.

Hi Clay, as being a day trader, how do you avoid wash sale loss disallowed during the year? I'm having a difficult time paying tax on the gain(9k) I didn't make from day trading, but my actual net gain was about 2k. This is very discouraging for me. I hope you see this comment.

As I have gotten to know how the E mini S&P 500 moves when it's trending, I've sometimes been able to confidently lower my stop loss during some long trades because I know that the lowering candlestick is very likely going to rebound off the bottom of the trend line, so I give it the room to do that. And even if it doesn't fill my target, I can still stop out at a minimal loss because I let it move back up to my entry point. Of course, a better entry would have been the more optimal play in the first place and that's probably what I should focus on obtaining.
I know that a rebound off the trend line isn't a 100% guaranteed move. But when the market is _trending,_ as opposed to being choppy, rebounds occur more often than breaking past the trend line, otherwise no trends would be established. I think that's probably one of the main contributors to a trending market, candlesticks bouncing back and forth off of trend lines. I can work with a trending market.
