I don't usually comment on these types of videos, but this has got to be the craziest Star Wars 'what if' fanfiction I've ever seen. This is the first one that actually goes beyond the time of the OT and details a distant future, and in a very original way I might add. Great video, keep up the good work.
"A tragedy that would have made Darth Vitiate proud." The ironic thing about this, is that toward the end of his schemes, Vitiate came to realize that the whole consumption schtick he was doing was actually a gigantic waste, and depending on the dialogue options you choose, will all but *apologize* for doing it.
So the sith being gone created an even bigger inbalance in the force via no dark siders and only light. That is why Anakin was supposed to kill off the Jedi. At least this is how I see it. Yoda failed even harder in this timeline how?
to be honest, even if the Good timeline happened with Anakin destroying the sith forever and staying with the jedi with his wife, there isnt a gaurantee that it would stay good. you could easily have the same thing happen, just over, say, 2000 years, not 1000.
George clarified that the dark side itself is unnatural and a perversion. Balance means they should be eradicated. the Force is unbalanced due to the Sith existing. The whole prophecy is not on Ep3 but on Ep6 when he killed Sidious.
16:16 Some may see this out of character for Yoda and the Jedi Order, but I completely agree. The events of the movies were truly the Will of The Force. The Jedi order of the time *was* corrupt, with Mace Windu and Yoda being the perfect examples of this, Especially by Revenge of The Sith. Mace was too attached to the Republic, he valued it just as highly as the Jedi Order. He was also a massive hypocrite and scolded Anakin for the same code violations he committed all the time. As for Yoda, he was the inverse problem, he wasn't attached to anyone or anything. He lived so long that death was something he just never cared about, its why he couldn't help Anakin despite realizing that Anakin did need help. Its also why I imagine, in a scenario like this, he would never learn the lesson he did on Dagobah, he would never learn that failure is the best teacher and that attachments in of themselves can be used for good and evil. As such, his flawed view on the force would inadvertently corrupt the order further if he didnt leave or die. Without *radical* changes, the order was far too corrupt by the time of ROTS. Ironically, Palpatine was correct. If left unchecked, I fully expect that they would've taken over the Republic "for the greater good".
i dont remember mace windu violating the jedi code like Anakin did. the only violation, really, was him being ready to execute palpatine, but, even yoda would have done that.
I don't think Padme giving up Luke & Leia is in her character at all. Instead I think she would've balanced her political life and kept the children in her life as they were the only connection to Anakin she had left. I think it would be similar to a child's life in boarding school where she would have time with them. Love the storyline but again I can't see Padme giving her only connection to the man she loved away.
She'd feel vindicated, but I don't think she'd be pleased. More like the horrible realization you get when you're right, but nobody would listen to you.
i dont think that it would take 500 years for the jedi to fall that far if you look at how far the jedi had already fallen it would have taken a 100 years tops for another Schism or full-blown civil war to take place
Shit, I don't think even Darth Nihilus caused as much destruction as this. He had to consume life to maintain his power as a Wound in the Force, but the level of devastation here is unparalleled.
Bravo dude! Excellent what if. You hit upon something I've always believed; Fear of attachments is the path to the dark side. The only reason wielders of the dark SEEM more powerful is that sentient beings are social creatures by nature. Cutting oneself off from attachments inhibits the force. In his fear of another Jedi falling to the dark Yoda became even more dogmatic, so too, the order. You thought outside of the box when it seems like every 'what if' has become an exercise in minute distinctions from every other what if, leading to the same old same old.
I loved where you took this! Imagine having to rebuild not just civilization but galactic civilization!? What if this was our past... I could definitely see how this story could become an ourobours in that after the plague the dark ages arise in a way similar to the pre hyper space age.
Wooow! That went bad in a surprising way from the death of a horrible murderous tyrant into a horrific galaxy-wide plague. I almost want to see a continuation to this story to see if the Jedi or even force sensitives in general continue on or if they die out completely leaving the galaxy in a more "Mundane" state that leans in more towards "Battlestar Galactica" or if there might be a sheer focus in technological growth that makes things lean more into a Star Trek level of tech, if not enlightenment.
@@matthewbarabas3052 A planet stuffed with city-scapes is no necessarily more advanced, it's bound to have more pollution the your average Federation planet, and more social problems from being so packed. I doubt they often sell "Death sticks" in local clubs.
Reminds me of the Jensaarai. It's more of a gray Jedi order that accepted their emotions and be able to use both light&dark side of the Force with their code more accommodating with attachments. Not a Sith organization but more of a fallen Jedi order that's more leaning to the light side. They are survivors of Order66 and those that left the Jedi Order before the clone wars.

Why didn't Obi-Wan saved Anakin in this timeline? Makes Obi-Wan look like a murderer. Not to mention Anakin dying is stupid, because he's supposed to be the chosen one, so he should still live to kill the last Sith Lord, which is Maul at this point.
Because he didn't save Anakin in OT either. At the time of the duel on Mustafar, Obi-Wan had no way of knowing the fate of Palpatine, so the what if scenario doesn't change his actions.

The Dark Side has been stated to be a faster route to immense power than the light, at the cost of one's soul; it essentially acts as a poison for those who wield it while fueling one's determination and efficiency for short, concentrated periods. This could be the reason Sidious was able to match Yoda's power, given the experience gap. Another reason could be the force shrouded in darkness due to Sidious's takeover and the purge of the Jedi. We know from the movies that the Darkside obscures the Jedi's capabilities to see clearly, and we also know from novelization that Sith artifacts that harness the dark side also inhibit a light side user's ability in combat.
