Fun Fact for Don: The actress for Kara and the actor for Barry go waaay back to their time on Glee (though NOT in the same seasons unfortunately) so that's why they have probably the best chemistry and it seems so natural a lot of the time. I love how the writers wrote this Barry in The Crossover more than in The Flash. How they wrote him in the episode was reminiscent of the Comic Flash personality, more jokey, and less brooding. Also, they made him not completely 100% dependent on his friends, he could actually do stuff by himself, like the CSI he is supposed to be.
and constantly apologising for saying "bad boy" when refering to things in that way because he is soo PC. "sorry i keep calling these things boys, i dont uhh..." wont even put out Kara on fire because "ahh nope im not touching those" so stunning. Soo brave *clap clap clap*

Her calling Barry Mr. "Blabber mouth" he when said he couldn't talk about the case. When barry went full geek about wells particle accelerator and her asking if that inlcudes twerking. Or her getting so hyped about Barry knowing oliver queen and hitting his shoulder repeatedly for not telling her he knew him. Or her getting so excited Barry and felicity to join trivia night to when free coffee. Like they added like alot to her personality in the beginning of the series like they did with Cisco's nerd movoe humor, cailtyn getting flustered over someone calling her uptight or Barry being so positive and so chill. But then entering season 2 and the rest of the series that stoped adding those kinda details and gave her the personality of regular background character instead of the personality of a supporting supporting character. Which considering they rotate the writers for each show when airing a new season, I blame them for that.
I think the actors for Barry and Kara already acted together in a show called Glee? That singing tv show, they absolutely have the best chemistry together!
Supergirl is so underrated and overhated. Has really great episodes and funny characters. I'd recommend it and legends of tomorrow so youll understand future cross overs more

The thing with Cat Grant, pretty much nothing fazes her. She used to work at the Daily Planet before forming her own media empire. The one and only person who makes her flustered is that handsome Clark Kent. The black guy is James Olsen... Jimmy Olsen from the comics. They went in a different direction with him after the first season, when the show moved to the CW.
The cross over epps behind the scenes is just 70% clips of Grant and Melissa goofing off with each other. They deffo had good vibes and it shows on screen.
I actually do recommend watching Super girl, as well as Legends of Tomorrow, and my personal favourite show of all time Lucifer. Yes Lucifer is part of what is probably the biggest and longest live action super hero universe ever
Supergirl is only really good for like 1 season. The moment they lost Cat Grant the show went downhill by a freaking mile. It ruined Cara's alter ego and they got really into storylines that drove all the audience away. Alot of CW shows are like that, start strong but fall off hard.

They dropped it and CW picked it up, which is why there were a lot of set changes, and why Calista Flockheart left the show, she wasn't willing to move to Vancouver from California to film it. I doubt her staying would have saved much though, CW would have just ruined her character too.
At the beginning of the flash episode when he ran through the portal to get here it seemed he got back instantly and that’s why he said “How long was I gone”. It did work for both contexts though of Wells telling him the time he ran for being as fast as Zoom.
This guy has to watch Supergirl. Tbh I think the work part of the series is the best part because we see the growth of Kara. And also season 3 is one of their best seasons. 😂

Don, you should totally watch the first couple seasons of Legends of Tomorrow. It features Captain Cold and Heat Wave, Firestorm, Hawkgirl and Hawkman, the Atom, and more. It’s basically the final show that makes up the Arrowverse along with Arrow and The Flash
I like when we get to see a more playful Flash that feels more like the comics/cartoons. In his own show he’s so self serious…Grant is a good dramatic actor but it’s nice seeing him be more comedic.
The most important thing to know about this crossover is the shows were on different networks at the time. Supergirl began CBS, while the Flash (and the arrowverse) were on the CW. The logistics were huge, . The shows were filmed in different cities (Flash filmed in Vancouver, Supergirl in LA), and both shows were filming at the same time, They may have actually been from different universes and the news reporter on the end... was Perd from Parks & Rec!
fun needless fact: when barry runs and grabs everyone ice cream, Kara's reaction is genuine because she was on a very strict diet at the time and wasnt allowed to eat any kind of sweets so when they brought out the ice cream and gave it to her, she was fuckin HYPED!
To explain the situation. Kara was being under influence of red cryptonite before. She really was being a bad person and her goal was to piss everyone off. She has begun to create chaos, rage at the police when they came, sat drunk at bars, slipping nuts with her fingers to break the bottles at the bar, while laughing at the chaos on tv, she created. She even made herself a dark suit and when her sister wanted to help her she even wanted to laser eye her, so the mars man had to fight her with force (he is basically some kind of her dad figure). And she also eye laser burned her wardrobe, she and her sister loved, while laughing at her sister. This is why she was so sorry. Because she made the entire city being scared of her.
@DonTownsend Banshee is a classic villain. I have seen her battle Supernan more often in the comics than Supergirl. As you may ir may not know, Kryptonians are vulnerable to magic. Banshee's powers are magical in origin and thus, she can harm both Supernan and Supergirl.
Arrow season 3 is when flash season 1 starts. Arrow season 4 is when supergirl season 1 starts. Dc legends of tomorrow season 1 starts midway through season 4 of arrow. It all started with arrow so most usually just start there, but I personally watched flash s1 2 and 3 before I even knew arrow was a thing. Binged arrow 1-5 and then kinda caught myself up on everything. You don't *need* to watch all of supergirl as imo it's the worst out of the original arrow verse shows and it exists on a different earth from the other shows. Could say more about this but I don't wanna spoil future crossover episodes. Glad to see you're watching them all though! Enjoying the ride!
When I first saw this episode that pause after the kiss scared me because in the original Superman movies when Clark kissed Lois it erased her memory of his secret identity. I was so afraid that the progress would be reset.
He needs to watch the My Adventures with Superman Show because its so good the Animation they get all the Characters perfect and all the Villains are really well made.
