Ok finished! I had to pause to help the kids with schoolwork. I loved this video and laughed when the car wouldn't crush the car😂 tires are softer because oof the rubber to absorb and protect against impact and such so it makes sense... But you'd think the shear weight alone would have worked. I loved watching you destroy the cars and piece together this display. I am also so giddy with how much he loved seeing the end product. It's always so nice to see something we work so hard being truly appreciated. 👏👏 Great job. Happy Friday.
I think your are right on the tire thing... which makes me extra glad I added that flat piece of metal. I don't want to explain to the tire place how I got a hotwheel stuck in my actual wheel lol! So glad you enjoyed it!!
I love this junkyard so much! You did a fantastic job. It's really inspired me to try to also do a salvage yard for my dad, with banged up hot wheels cars that my grandsons no longer use. My dad is an old car enthusiast and collector, and has always gone to junk yards for parts. He'd love it. Your talent and creativity are amazing!
That junk yard was so realistic. You did an awesome job on everything. I loved the process you did to get to the final project. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Ara! This is GREAT! And your timing could not be more perfect! My grandson (11 years old) collects Hot Wheels and his wall looks like Cory’s wall…on a smaller scale. He has been experimenting on making a diorama…just basic cardboard and rocks…This will fuel his imagination and take him to the next level. THANK YOU so much for sharing this. Don’t worry…his grandpa is a welder and will supervise any torching! You did an amazing job. Oh, I love it, too. Distress is my friend! Lol I can’t wait to have the guys watch this!
I feel kinda of bad seeing you destroying those cars but your creativity is very awesome and I can't stand not looking at them. I'm presently working on couple of ice cream trucks on a 1/64 scales. One will be for my future wife and my little sister. As a reminder don't smash those cars in the garage desposol lol.
White vinegar works better than Coke. Rough it up first and it should take some paint off. It's what I use to remove paint from vintage metal yard furniture. ;-)
I love this!! As always, a wonderfully detailed tutorial. I'm never left wondering how to create your effects because you always give the best instructions and I'm so thankful. When I'm making long grass tufts, I use simple brown string. It's already the right colour and super cheap. I cut about 10cm long pieces and pull apart the 3 or 4 strands. I then take one strand and pull individual fibres from it and bunch them together, fold the bunch in half and then dip the folded end in glue. I roll the glued end in my fingers to squish it together and secure it then set it aside to dry. Once dried I can then trim the glued end if it's too long but this method creates great, realistic looking grass without the need for paint, although I have added a green wash to the base on occasion to give it a different effect.
I love that the coffee shop inspired this because the coffee shop was my favorite of all the projects I watched. This one was a unique departure from your haunted themes. As always it is mesmerizing to watch a master at work.
Thank you Audrey! I was surprised when he was so interested in it but it makes total sense after he shared his interest in salvage yards. It felt good to get back to extreme aging!😊
Thanks for sharing your genius with us. I don’t do miniatures but I love watching all of your videos. My crafts include sewing and polymer clay, but I use textured paint often. To mimic the texture of rust on smaller scale projects, try mixing cinnamon, baking powder or pepper into your paint.
"THE RESULT JUSTIFIES THE MEANS" Hi, I am a diecast scale car collector, and I am looking to make a junkyard diorama, so I am looking for several techniques, and yours are quite "extreme" the way to smash and burn cars hahaha, but in the end VERY EFFECTIVE AND REALISTIC, I was impressed and I will definitely take your ideas, only as a collector It broke my heart to see how you destroyed those pieces with a certain value, not only the price (approx $ 20 / $ 30 ea or more ) but for the models of the cars that were sacrificed. Thanks for sharing your ideas, "rough" techniques and time for all of us.
I love that one of your fans/clients is a junkyard car man and a miniature enthusiast. That’s a very cool project. The visit at the end felt like a wholesome Mister Rogers segment.
So glad you liked it!! I knew it would be fun to see his reaction as he has a whole other appreciate for the cars. He kept mentioning them by name and I was like... 'oh you mean the white one?" lol!!
This is my second favorite project after The Captain's Quarters. I just love seeing the look on yours and Cory's faces when you do the unveiling. It's a wonderful piece of art, no doubt!
I always love hearing about miniatures being given as gifts purely for the reaction from the people seeing it for the first time! So I knew this would be super fun to film! So glad you enjoyed it!
Missed opportunity not putting a Bentley Advertisement (Bentley as in the "car brand Bentley") into the scene to sign the diorama. That would have been so funny. :D Love the diorama!
Gosh I love the care you put into your work and videos! I really appreciate that you even have TWs at some parts for the audience, you really want to make your content enjoyable for everyone 😻! I really liked the idea of using crumpled paper as a 'mesh' for the clay hills!
Omg it’s AMAZING! I freakin LOVE IT! My nephew gave me some cars to use in ‘something crafty’ and i really REALLY have to try the whole junkyard car thing. Fantastic job Ara.
So amazingly realistic!! I never thought miniatures would be so interesting to me. Thank you for sharing your talent!! If I was 25 years younger, I think you’d have me ready to start this art!! For now I’m happy to watch you create💚
Amazing work and you are right to avoid commissions as they can take the joy out of the hobby in a hurry, there's nothing quite like making somebodies day with a beautiful piece of art that they will cherish!
This one only took me 2 years to finish too 🤦♀️(from him suggesting the idea to me delivering it) so it helps keep people from asking... luckily he was super patient!😄
I have had several people say that so I understand! I not a big car person myself but aging them and creating their 'story' was just a ton of fun! I agree about the sign too! Thank you!
Hey! I’m from Brazil and I just can’t stop seeing your projects! You’re so talented! Congrats and thanks for helping me with my mental health in these difficult times.
Brilliant video as usual. I had a vivid memory of my dad who died several years ago. He collected small cars like the ones you used and when I was very young he was a rally driver, quite a good one but my mother made him give it up. (I don't know if you have car rallies in the USA or if its just a European thing). A couple of years before he died I bought him a diarama of two racing rally cars, one of which was the same model and colour of his car all those years before. My dad hated getting presents, but he later told me it was the best present anyone had ever given him. Thank you for this memory Ara❤️
Loved the blow torch car and its flat tires!! and the green rusted out car is fantastic! note cinnamon adds rust super great as well. Ara your attention to detail is phenomenal, great project!
total realism even the destruction of crushed cars ... hammered ... burned and above all I knew that Coca-Cola had other applications .... beautiful diorama at the end. Congratulations
My dad collects die cast classic cars and the aging on this reminds me of a few novelty ones in his collection intended to look rusted. This graveyard would be one junkyard I'd enjoy exploring. Great job on the overall project.
Thank you so much Jay! Cory has one in his backyard that he is naturally aging as well. There is just something so interesting about a car being eaten by rust!
First of all it looks amazing! I love the thought of adding something unusual into art, also thank you for the grey box (it definitely helps with not getting distracted), and thank you for being so thoughtful and understanding for people with trauma and putting plenty of warnings, it's so nice to still see people care, so thank you 😁❤️
I am so glad you enjoyed it! My face was distracting for me even being able to edit it so I knew it would be distracting in the final video too. So glad it helped💖
Outstanding! Very "Luke Towanesque" of you! Glad that the client enjoyed it, too! Keep up the great work! Can't wait for the next one! Have a better day!
Man what a great project! Thank you for sharing it with us. The outcome is really realistic. Mrs. Bentley you have some mad skills...just so good to watch.
I have a whole pile of crushed car models laying around that were left since I was a kid and I've always wanted to make a junkyard diorama with them so I'm looking for some technics since I've never ever made any dioramas. You did an amazing job and it was also very educational!

Wow! That came out so cool! Love all the little details such as the hubcaps on the sign posts! So many details to mention in this space, but YES, Awesome junkyard for sure! Who wudda thought a junkyard could be so cool?!!! Only if it's made by you!

That was such an awesome video. Getting to see how it all went together was so cool. Between your dog sneezing and mine drinking a gallon of water, we had some funny background noise 😄
Gosh! You are so talented, you amaze me!! It turned out amazing!
My son would love this. He asked me to create a junk yard in a frame. This gave me so many ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Yay!!! You will have so much fun with it!
This is about as custom as it gets , great commissioned piece !
Thank you!
Ooooh what a great thing to watch with my coffee 😊
Yay! Happy morning coffee! Just finished mine ;)

Nex.Jen yep that's me too 😊
That looks amazing!
Also, that was a thirsty pup! Lol
Your extreme talent with paint never ceases to amaze me. Great display.
Thank you my friend!!💖
I have never built anything, and haven’t seen much on it.So this is a big thank you!

I love the bloopers!!!!
That junk yard was so realistic. You did an awesome job on everything. I loved the process you did to get to the final project. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Thanks so much Janet!
@@BentleyHouseMinis ты супер😘☺
I love this video. The picture of this diorsma was art. Im totally amazed.
The junkyard is awesome!! The dog sneezing in the bloopers at the end was HILARIOUS!!!!!
Lol! She went for almost 30 minutes straight sneezing and then stopped. Not sure what that was!😄
I love watching your videos as I sit in my portable sauna. Very relaxing 😌.
Oh nice!
I was grateful for the trigger warning and I was grateful for the grey box.
I love this project
yes very lol!
The 50 merc with the tree going through is amazing
Ara! This is GREAT! And your timing could not be more perfect! My grandson (11 years old) collects Hot Wheels and his wall looks like Cory’s wall…on a smaller scale. How fantastic!! If he does make one I would love to see a picture!
This is just soooo SUPERCOOL🤯 The result's totally worth sacrificing those cars. They served their role perfectly!
Thank you!
I feel kinda of bad seeing you destroying those cars but your creativity is very awesome and I can't stand not looking at them. I'm presently working on couple of ice cream trucks on a 1/64 scales. Brilliant! Such details. It looks like a scene from a horror film. I love it.
I love she was stoping the video to give warnings so kind of her
It’s like a scene in a movie. Love it
Thank you!
Woohoo perfect timing! Something great to watch before bed time!
I hope you enjoy it and have a great night's sleep!
love how the intro is like a PBS crafting special. lol
Really well done! I am doing a 200 car junkyard that's coming along well, again you did a nice detailed job.
Thank you!! That will be awesome once you are done! Wow!
Made the brother happy.
White vinegar works better than Coke. Rough it up first and it should take some paint off. It's what I use to remove paint from vintage metal yard furniture. ;-)

Nail polish remover probably would work too because it has acetone in it.

It is most definitely KIKASS! WOW!

The 58 Chevy up on top of the sign is my favorite part. My Dad had one when I was a kid and I loved it. Great job!
I think that one was my favorite too!
I build junkyards and I am always looking for new techniques. Thank you for this video. The yard looks amazing
Glad you enjoyed it!
The destroying car part hurt but awesome dioramma tho
The destruction of the cars was so enjoyable to watch. Beautiful diorama!
Thank you very much! It was enjoyable to do as well lol!
I love the cars! And it was so fun to see Cory’s joy in seeing the diorama
This is so cool! I started modifying a bunch of cars recently for my own mini diorama! Great work!
That's awesome!! It was so fun to do!
Missed opportunity not putting a Bentley Advertisement (Bentley as in the "car brand Bentley") into the scene to sign the diorama. That would have been so funny. :D Love the diorama!
Oh so true😂😂
oh my gosh you are so right!!! Why didn't I think of that lol! My name is literally the name of a car brand🤦♀️😄
The 'fire' car is the BEST! It looks so realistic. The whole project is amazing.
😊💖
SO. GOOD. Your skills at aging items are amazing - so fun to watch! I feel like I've seen this junkyard IRL. Wonderful work!
Thank you so much Malyssa!!
I really liked what you did with the landscape. It does look realistic.
Thank you!
This is such a gorgeous addition to his collection!! Loved the whole process!
Thank you💖💖😊

Thank you!! It was so tiny!! lol😄

Fantastic travel filming, yet another amazing project Aria ,totally blown away at your attention to detail yet again.Thank you
Thank you Tracy!😊
Wow, I was certain this project won't be my favourite, and I was so wrong! The result is great, the sign puts the whole piece together.

That was a happy accident because the inside fell out!! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! I tried cinnamon once and totally messed it up lol! But I realized I did it wrong so I need to try again!
Just absolutely perfect. I don’t think it is physically possible to make it better.

Very cool project Ara!
The gray and rusty areas actually look like the body work was started using Bondo, and then abandoned. It looks great!
Lisa
Yay that's what I was going for on a few cars!! I have bondo'd a car before and I can still remember what that stuff smells like lol!
Outstanding! Very "Luke Towanesque" of you! Glad that the client enjoyed it, too!

So cool! Halloween project indeed. The 'Christine' car up on the hill. The evil cars resting place. Lol.
Looks fantastic.
I need to watch Christine!
This is absolutely wonderful and realistic I love watching your work
Thank you so much Stephanie!
That looks so awesome. Your eye for detail is impeccable.
Thank you Renee!
You did a very great job thanks from the whole diecast community 164 scale forever love your work love you love the way that you handled it and the foresight you put into this please do more😂❤😊
Great work . WOW . This piece came out SOOOOOOOOOO KOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

Aww thank you Lyndi!😊 I am so glad you liked it!
As a kid, to simulate Godzilla having stepped on it, I dropped a brick on a hotwheels car...that worked real well to get a crushed car look.
I did this too! I always used my cheaper cars, that or rarly used hot wheel or matchbox cars. Now ik im not insane
I love the junk yard I can’t believe you haven’t done this before it’s excellent
Thank you TIna!
Nice weathering and attention to details.
Your projects never fail to amaze me.
Oh, my goodness! This is SO fun! I loved watching the weathering in this. The fire damage looks GREAT! And you did a fantastic job with the ground too. So much detail with all those bushes and grass. I'm gonna have to use that faux fur for grass idea. Those hubcaps up on the sign are so perfect. It was neat seeing the reveal to your friend too! I'm not really into undead, supernaturally things, so I don't get much enjoyment out of craft channels I follow around October. So I was EXTRA delighted to get this project in my feed!
I am so glad you enjoyed it! Here I was worrying it was spooky enough for an October video lol! But I am more into the funny/fun spookiness than the really scary stuff.
Absolutely loved this. I just love when you make distressed/junked/abandoned diorama's. That tree through the car, Perfect. :}
Thank you Yezzy!!!
This was so fun to watch again! Thanks for summarizing all the videos. Great project ❤️
So glad you enjoyed it! The summary helps me a lot too. When I am looking for a technique or process I have one place to look instead of 5!😄
Thats so cool. My favorite car is the one in the pond. You also could use the airbrushing to age the cars
Thank you Julie! I got the airbrush after this project was finished up but I bet it would have been really fun to use! Next time!
That is so cooool, makes me want to do stuff like that, I have not sculpted in years
Go for it! You'll have a blast :)
What a awesome way to play with hot wheels...now I wish I'd kept my sons cars...thank for sharing this with us....
Thank you 🤗
Well done, Ara. I love this Junk Yard
Thank you!
I so glad you shared this here, I sadly can't afford patron at the moment but maybe some day in the future I can and can come and have fun
I totally understand that and that's why I will always share big projects here in this summary form! 💖
I’m so happy I found your channel, I just started trying to make diorama, but found it difficult to find certain pieces.Plus buying it’s so expensive.
I am glad you are here too!! Welcome!
When I heard the concept I wasn't much interested, but dang that I end result. Imagine a round of applause cause you deserve it.
😊 Thank you!
That was so enjoyable to watch. Well done, Ara!
Just a little comment, when your doing scale foliage, ultra hold hair spray and your ground cover on any type of armature, be it twigs, poly fiber, or dried plant material work great. Spray the main part with the hairspray, apply the foliage (whatever color or material it may be) spray again to set it. Let it dry and presto! The hairspray dries clear so have at it.
Its great that you care enough about your followers to warn for triggers. People caring about other people's feelings is rare nowadays
That turned out so amazing!
Thank you!!
You are so talented. Looks real.
Thank you Marie!
Ara never disappoints! Such an amazing project!
Another great project. Well done Ara! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you Elaine!
That was such an awesome video. Getting to see how it all went together was so cool. Between your dog sneezing and mine drinking a gallon of water, we had some funny background noise 😄
Oh my the dogs were in rare form weren't they? lol!! I am glad you enjoyed seeing the process of your art piece!
You did a fantastic job! 🤣 I love the dog drinking in the background he must have been thirsty!!
Yep! Lol!
You are SO talented!!!
Such a fun diorama! Very unique Ara. Great outcome.
Thank you Jennifer!
Turned out so well 😊
