What a stunning piece! Perfect job matching those points and thank you for sharing how to get the fragile area correct.

I bought this kit as my very first FPP. It was so much fun and I could make perfect crisp edges until sewing the two halves of the snow together. It was impossible to match the center perfectly with the thick seam allowance. I re-did it more than 10 times then gave up. I made a second one with my own scraps, but the white fabric I used for the outer parts shrank after I made all the pieces A to P and ironed... So I gave up (taking a break) on this kit😭. BUT I want to challenge Shabby Fabrics FPP so purchased the February kit and it arrived today🤩😅

I've always shied away from paper piecing, but this is sewwww beautiful... Is it ok for a beginner? I sew, quilt and embroidery so I'm not totally new to those areas. As you suggested, I'll review April's tutorial. Thanks for the help.

If you can sew, quilt and embroider, this project shouldn't be hard for you. Take your time and watch the April's tutorial first. Happy that you love this project! It is so stunning and thanks for your comment and support! 😊 - Abby

I notice that you pressed some of the seams open. Which ones should be pressed open?

Press each new seam toward the most-recently added piece, but as the sections are sewn together, the pressing directions are intended to alleviate bulk when multiple seams meet, nesting them whenever possible. We have included our recommended pressing directions in the pattern. Hope this helps and thanks for your comment! - Abby
