- Puppeteer released 2 weeks ago and I decided to skip out on talking about him in order to finish my video on Persona Talents. Because of this, I was able to play a lot more matches against him and see people's thoughts on him during the time I decided not to cover him. While there were a fee naysayers, the general consensus is that he's a Meta survivor. And while I can see that, I think there's a few things about him that just hold him back from greatness. So, let's discuss all of these things as well talk about the Puppeteer.

If youre wondering what the colors mean:
Blue - Puppeteer hard counters that Hunter
Green - Puppeteer counters them, but the Hunter does have some tricks to try and work around his ability
Yellow - The Hunter doesnt outright counter Puppeteer but Puppeteer can be killed by them quickly if performed well
Orange - Puppeteer has a few tricks against this Hunter, but this Hunter overall does very well againt him
Red - the Hunter hard counters Puppeteer
I'm not really much of a survivor player in IDV but since the release of Matthias i've been actually having fun playing that faction in a long time rather than getting bored of playing my usual rescuers (GK & Merc) bc no one likes to bring tide anymore, his design and playstyle compliment me so I'm overall satisfied with what netease released for once in my life when it came to a survivor ever since the Embalmer came out.
I definitley think he is good where he is, strong but with huge counters he isnt a survivor i would wanna ban but i know if he is in a match there is a possibility he can carry hard wether he is kiting or rescuing and with him you dont even really need to bring tide as you can take up to 2 hits when getting rescued or rescuing as ling as you have one use of louis. I am happy to see a character that i thought the community wouldnt care about because he is "ugly" like say clerk or the will brothers get so much love, i mean i see him all the time even a week after his release witch i cant say the same for past survivors like aeroplanist. Overall a good addition to the roster
puppeteer i can def see getting a buff, his no heal mechanic is the greatest example of high risk high reward, would need to be in the right skillful hands to have good matches, one or more mistakes of getting hit could change the outcome of a game, plus having to sac a slot for psyc (better than barmaid imo) just to synergize may be detrimental on some maps
anyway, hes goated
Since his problem is chip as you have said, which most hunters apart from joseph and hermit, have it their skill, then undaunted is the way to counter them no?
Also how would a hermit share damage interact if he managed to undaunted before the sharwd damage hits
Since I saw Puppeter and his abilities I said: " I want him. ", and I really love using him even If you need good ping to do a decent kite with him. I love the fact that is one (To not say the only one) who is a stronger survivor but also is killing himself using his abbilities, making him more difficult to use and is not like a Merc that you can have 3 hits and run away to other heal you. I love that he can't get healed but he can heal others and make the 2 have 2 chips of heal, making it a high but also a low. A stronger survivor who is getting weaker by himself only.
Puppeteer is countered by hunter not hitting them😭
Puppeteer can also make to different kiting areas or inside of pallets if Hunters don't hit him, so I think it's a decent trade off
