- Hello everyone and welcome back to First Look. Today we will to looking at the highly anticipated Faro Lady, who's trailer and test server released not too long ago. Usually, I don't review characters immediately after they're shown off, but I feel the need to make a video on her. I do touch on some other things shown in the test server briefly, so hopefully that piques your interest. With that said, let's dive into the review.

So it turns out Faro Lady is way worse that I thought she was, even after this video. I thought I had everything wrong with Faro Lady down and I'm still learning more info that makes her so bad. If you want me to talk about that stuff, let me know.

Her item which only works with her uncontrollable passive is an understatement.
I saw her trailer and instantly dropped her, invisibility is a really cool concept for a decoder since you need to hide, but when the invisibility expose you more than helps you the whole decoder concept just go to the trash, this is very sadly since her design is top tier
They release powerful hunters back to back to back but struggle to deliver any decent~ish survivors ever since cheerleader and aeroplanist. I get that they want the game to start leaning into hunters’ favor more since it’s been surv sided for so long but man, at least give these new survivors ~some~ chance to be viable in the current meta 🤷♀️
I dunno, I feel like this is the first genuinely bad survivor we've had in a while. In my opinion, both Puppeteer and Florian were amazing releases and very underrated survivors in this current meta. In fact, we've been seeing a lot of Puppeteer played and banned in IJL, so it's safe to assume he's very good. Faro Lady is the first survivor I genuinely don't have hope of being good at all.
@@jestergio9961fire bro and puppeteer are niche but at least usable while faro lady is just straight up horrible yes. Them giving her 2x rescue debuff as if her kit was so OP that it needed to be “balanced” that way is so hilarious to me. They really thought that if they didn’t make her unable to rescue she would become the 2nd coming of mechanic or smth?
Puppeteer is just an opera counter that's why they are banning him, with ivy it's 50/50 cuz it depends, if Matthias can get his Louis before full stack of Ivy's
they really did it, a survivor that would be better without any if her traits, damn
The passive notification really breaks her, even if the hunter pass by her and dont see her, they will be notificated that she is there
She does suck im glad someone knows that but at least her design does not suck if i got her s tier i would use her even if they never changed bc i love her outfits
Shes great in Duo mode because she'll have plenty of unused ciper juice spread across the map from less optimized players. However in traditional 4v1, her abilities kinda do fall flat imo
Yea that pretty much sums her character up. Her abilities can easily be accomplished by basic teamwork and kiting.
1. Pinging cipher progress is basic, teammates should be paying attention to which ciphers have progress.
2. Any survivor can just get a decoding boost through cipher rush.
3. This survivor quite literally CANNOT hide because the big blue trail will appear and expose her immediately.
4. She literally gets countered by large maps. If the chaired surv is on the opposite end of the map from the other teammates and only faro lady is close by the game is already a loss. Because she absolutely will get terrorshocked if she tries to rescue and hunter knowing this will simply leave chair and pursue her instead. So now you get double down.
Also i just realized theres no point in trying to use her invisibility to mindgame away if you judt get alerted like you said i never realized that what the heck is the point of mindgame and running away then, they should let her cane be unusable unless she invisible and instead make it 2 times per invisibility or something or 1 time per invisibility that would in my opinion be better

Things I didnt know before this.
-the power having a visual notification to the hunter (awful)
-the hunter knowing when you are invisible even if they dont see the trail (awful as well)

Thank you for explaining her flaws. Her invisibility would be useful IF her trail only shows when she moves! Like you can't hide with her cuz her trail snitches on her/ is so big it gives away her location. Had it been when she moves her invisibility trail would then show, but it wears out faster to a degree and not ping hunter, but leaves you susceptible to peepers, so then the choice is either not move and your invisibility wears out faster, or move and your trail is shown. Her cane should have been given a 2% or 3% movement speedbuff or interaction speed buff while invisible that would be fine or ass an additive to her passive. And a mini rework could be when she pallet stuns, vaults, or any interaction, she gets shown for a small window of time and goes back to being invisible, like how painter remains visible/has an outline when hunter falls for his painting. And I agree with her passive should become a manual switch, or at best a toggle with a cooldown. Example being how Dancer has a toggle cooldown for switching her music box to fast or slow. Her cane animation SHOULD have been if she had a toggle so hunter can get an indicator that she is getting ready to go invisible soon, so quickly down her or else prepare to try and predict her movement.
This is what happens when they try and cram so many concepts into one survivor and she fails all of them
the worst part is I was so hyped to buy her S tier, and even tho i still like it alot idk if i wanna waste money on a survivor who's the definition of F tier and the pretty much the worst survivor in the game, I think I'd rather play wilding ngl

Lately, all of the survs the devs release have questionable abilities to say the least;; I think with release of Florian my standards dropped tremendously when it comes to survivor kits. But honestly I didn't expect they would make Faro Lady THIS BAD 💀💀 Not only is her kit absolutely horrendous in terms of current meta, but the biggest sin of all, she doesn't even seem fun to play tbh... I tried her on test servers with a friend, and truly the only fun you could have with her is if the hunter you go against is not aware of evelyn and how her invis works, which in real matches prob wouldn't happen that often anyways :/ And its a true shame she ended up like that TBH cause her character design and backstory actually slap so hard 😭
If we can tell NE to adjust her skill "R" that while she is moving, this skill can activate her invisibility( maybe 60s CD to balance her) and while she is decoding, the skill can see cipher progress and steal them, she will be so great and instantly becomes top tier survivor

If her whole exposure thing was like a no cooldown thing were you spend the amount you have until the skill runs out it would be much better than instant 20m activation that goes away with everything

Making a new video on her. I don't want to spoil it, however if you like her gameplay style, go ahead and play her! Don't let her being good or not dictate who you want to play
They should do a list of things to save her from being trash when she’s live
-rescuing speed debuff should be 50% instead of 100%
-hunters cannot see the powder from the cane
-trail lasts 2 seconds
-trail is less apparent/smaller
-she can vault pallets and windows and stay invisible
-you should be able to use powder once every time you’re invisible
-speed boost when going invisible (similar to Weber’s law)
-turns invisible every 30 seconds
-hunter is not notified when she is out of hunters distance
-can choose to go invisible, she just has to be in hunters range
I think this would make her a half decent survivor
My perspective is to have the trail last longer so she can mind game better on loops since she could go back since they don't overlap.
An funny use of her ability would be to fake a trail even when not invisible, like your hidden then use trail in a direction hunter can ser without seeing you trow it, of couse, no one would see it but still
That would be a pretty cool way to use her ability. The problem is that the Hunter has a notification specifically for when you're invisible. So any diversions like that won't work because the notification won't be there. You can fake a trail while not invisible, however. So you can throw powder in the Hunters face if you really wanted to

it's her only saving grace
i've always hated character kits with "two" abilities except one is essentially useless until you use the other, and thats exactly how i feel about evelyn's invisibilty being encumbered by not only her cooldown, but the giant blue trail making her stealth basically nonexistent until you use the cane. why market her invisibility and the cane seperately at that point when the base invisibility doesn't even give you stealth? at the current time she just seems so convoluted and niche, and its just insane to me the devs are willing to release her like this
I just hope Netease will listen to ppl's opinion and change everything or put a huge buff on her, let's hope..
I believe your points are really good. Her abilities, ESPECIALLY the fact her cooldown pauses when she is downed, feel like you are being punished for playing with her, and that doesn't make any sense.
I was so happy when I saw her design and lore with Martha sadly I’ll only be playing her with friends in custom
Sad to realize she will be bad or mid at best, still I'm tired of playing as prisoner so I'll be using her as a decoder from now on 😂
